ice-capades
Ford should report March sales tomorrow but it won't be pretty, even though the first two weeks of March were somewhat normal until the COVID-19 pandemic became an issue along with the states that issued "stay-in-place" orders. The sales numbers for certain models also reflect the lack of Ford incentives.
Alex D.
Well off the pace for sure, ice. Just curious, picking a month before Coronavirus became an issue in your neck of the woods, how did January 2020 sales compare to objectives? Thanks for posting the wealth of information that you share!

Explorer problem has been not being able to get enough XLT's with the Comfort Package and scheduling commodity issues pushing too many ST's for a while. The scheduling mix started to improve the past few months but who knows when we'll see those units now. EcoSport should be doing better than it is with the incentives available. The jury is still out on the new Escape. Contrary to all the negative comments about the new Escape here in the message threads, the only complaints we're getting are related to prices and the weak incentives. Ranger has been a complete disaster the past 3 months with our store selling NONE for the past 3 months. We were averaging 5 Rangers per month. F-150 sales have also been trending down. I understand all the discussions about Ford's emphasis on profits per unit vs. volume but the reality is that for years now, they continue to lose market share and customers as a result of their pricing and incentives. A number of dealers in our market are selling vehicles, including F-150's, at invoice in order to move the inventory and have an opportunity to generate back end profits on financing, extended warranties, etc.
