Product Test Group Participation

I want to be apart of the ford product test group, particularly with expedition and maybe explorer. I think i have enough experience with my current navigaotr and previous vehicles in both of these classes to provide tangible and appropriate information to help make these products better.  For anyone who has been on one, how did you do it, what did they ask you to do and how was your experience?

I’ve been in a few most recently for new Ford truck features which included the new tailgate and new tech around towing and hauling.  My first one was for the new Aviator back in 2002. I assume they initially get your name from Ford as an owner but once you’re in the system with the company that conducts them they could use you for anything.  A lot of times they’re looking for very specific individuals.  For the Ford truck group I initially said I was considering buying a BEV truck but the guy called back and asked me to clarify my answer then said answering yes would disqualify me.  So I changed it to no.

I also did a Camry preview with owners of other competing brands and Rivian.  Your best bet is to find out who does those groups in your area and call them.  I don’t think there is any way to do it with Ford directly other than to be registered as an owner.
