Puma55
New to the forum, I have a 2023 f250 with 7.3 gas engine, I’ve read there are issues with lifters going out @ 30K miles, does anyone know if this has been resolved? I’ve heard this is supposed to be a very reliable engine, just curious if i should run it or get rid of it,
NH_Bulldog
I am pushing 40k now and use the truck like it was intended. No issues whatsoever. Very strong and reliable engine.

d232799
love my KR with the 7.3, no problems at 19K miles. This motor is the first gas motor to move this truck correctly, I've had 4 other Kings, never needed a diesel. Just my 2c.
Puma55
Thank u so much for the reply sir, glad to hear it’s holding up, do u happen to run full synthetic or do u know if it’s safe to run full synthetic motor oil?
NH_Bulldog
I always use full synthetic Mobil 1 with a Wix XP filter. About half my miles are towing campers, first a bumper pull 28’ and now a 36’ 5th wheel. The 7.3L with 10 speed transmission is a great combo

Pro tip… removing the shrink wrap from the owners manual is eye opening. Also, buy now ask later??
