Andrew L
Curious if any other MKZ owner on here or modernish Ford owner on here has this same problem or not. My 2013 was way worse but by 2017 is not sensitive enough to trigger the headlights. They don't come on till the sun is almost set and they are seriously delayed when I enter the parking garage at work. My 04 Aviator flip on if I go under an overpass slowly. My LS I had before is the same way. Only both my MKZs have had their sensitivity way too low and there is apparently no way to adjust this. I've dug through the menu and can't find anything. I also brought it to the dealership, and they said there's no way to adjust. Anyone ever mess with forscan and know if it's possible to adjust this or not? I know the "eye" is on the dash at the top of the dash speaker. I've been tempted to spray a little nightshade on it to make it a little darker to see if that helps but I would rather do that as a last resort. I asked on the MKZ group on facebook but only got sarcastic remarks about using the headlight switch manually 🙄 Edited July 30, 2024 by Andrew L
akirby
Have you tried turning them on with the switch? 😂😎 My Nautilus and F150 work great. Instead of nightshade just try a piece of window tint a layer at a time until you know it works.

The sensors is a dome shape so it would be hard to cover it completely with sunglasses but it’s the right idea. Window tint would work better.
