seag1e
Hey, I have a 2012 Lincoln MKS ecoboost with sync 3.2.2.2 (according to the Ford chart). I have a connector for my phone that disconnects when jostled. Every time it disconnects, the notification not only stops the music, but pauses it. It's also extremely annoying that irrelevant sync notifications take over the screen and pause the music in general. Does anyone know of a setting (or if not, a forscan asbuilt variable) which would prevent notifications from pausing music, and prevent disconnecting a USB from pausing music? seag1e
Yes yes I know I should just get a new connector, but the port on my phone is the main issue and I'm still concerned about the notifications-pause/interrupt-music thing. If the notification pauses the music instead of just interrupting it I'm going to compulsively try to put the music back on and if it decides to be finnicky about playing it then I may get into an accident, and if it interrupts it I'm just going to be incredibly aggravated... Multitask
Once the SYNC/Car Play/Andriod Auto takes over, you can not change that.... BUT, see if there is any debris in your charging port on the phone. Know of someone that did and once they cleared the port, what they were trying to do started working again...
akirby
But if it disconnects why wouldn’t you want it to pause?

They shouldn't have Carplay/Android Auto on Sync 1. AFAIK those Sync 1 doesn't support those neither does Sync 2 (MyFord Touch/ MyLincoln Touch). Only Sync 3 supports it from the factory. I'm curious if OP had a 3rd party device that if they are using Carplay/Android Auto.

I was not aware of 3.2.2 only 3.0.xxxxx and 3.5.xxxxxx so bottom line , neither of us are correct. 😎 And you are correct in that Sync 1 does not have the ability of CP or AA... so who knows... 😎 Edited August 21 by Multitask

I think the last version of Sync 2 is 3.10 which is confusing lol
