Blue Oval Guide
The V6 engine is super-smooth and quiet most of the time. It growls a bit when you push it, but it's not unpleasant and is a willing worker. The horsepower numbers (221 hp) are good for its size and it's reasonably quick, but don't expect tire-smoking acceleration. The six-speed automatic is a smooth performer that's obviously geared for economy. At 100 km/h the engine is spinning under 2000 rpm. A manual-mode shift control is not provided - pity. Official fuel consumption figures for the AWD Fusion are 12.6 L/100 km City and 8.2 L/100 km Highway. That's a little thirstier than the front-wheel drive Fusion which offers 11.4 L/100 km City, 7.4 L/100 km Highway. Of course, in the winter, fuel consumption will be worse. Verdict Great on snow and ice, the new Ford Fusion AWD takes the stress out of Canadian winter driving. Read the complete article here. Roadrunner
What the heck interior color is that? (I don't remember a gray - I remember a tan and a black offered for '06) Or is it just a really bright image with a black interior? Jimmy G
That's not "Slate", it's Medium Light Stone. You're right. My mistake. I was thinking of the wifes car.
Roadrunner
Jimmy G, you've got the same interior setup that I do. ...This makes my car feel less special... Incidentally, if anyone wants to see the two-tone with Camel Brown instead of Light Stone, see: http://carsmedia.ign.com/cars/image/articl..._1139011131.jpg and here is the straight-on black interior, found especially in black-painted Fusions: http://www.fordfusion.net/specs/images/07_Fusion.jpg Edited January 30, 2007 by Roadrunner
