  1. This is one thing I don't get about you, you constantly harp about Ford and its buyers getting older and older....aren't all Manufactures experancing this as the US Population gets greyer with the babyboomers moving into retirement etc? I wouldn't call 150K sales of Scion products by Toyota a marked increase in its youth sales. Not to mention it seems like most buyers of Younger Gen cars are 50-60 yr old Hippies. Buying a new car in your early 20's is a bitch esp with insurance rates and going to school.
  2. I'm not expecting it nor are they....
  3. Quick thoughts... The Taurus didn't do too badly last month...maybe its finally starting to take off? Still would rather see it sell in the 10K a month catagory The Mustang, Expedition and F-150 got beat up pretty bad in December from last year.. Explorer sales are down 25% for the year..ouch
  4. How many Rams are sold in a year? I don't think the Tundra will break 200K units this past year..guess we'll find out later today.
  5. The rear view mirrors look weird on it...anyways I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if this was the '10 GT500 prototype with the vents in the upper hood camo...
  6. When they first came out, I saw a couple of them in my area, but since then they are rare as hens teeth... I guess every one who bought one traded it in on a "real" truck
  7. Guess your not that old...if you look at Ford in the 1980's they had 'frog" nose on most of the car...no grill with a blue oval in the middle of it...the 1986 Taurus is the best example of this. Then look at the 1990's...the Contour, Escort and Taurus all shared the free floating blue oval grill The problem is that after 2000, Ford didn't have any real design direction till the Fusion came out, thus why we are seeing the Razor grill on everything. Lets not even get started on BMW or Pontiac...all their cars share the same grill design. Its all about brand recognition
  8. I saw it last night...I thought it was pretty good also...
  9. Well I have no clue as to what they are going to be, but I have to make a comment about Ford's incentives programs...they are pretty lame (in a good way) to what Chrysler and GM are offering...all I've seen locally are special lease rates, where as Chrysler is offereing no payments to summer time and GM has their redtag specials things going.
  10. I have no idea how much a Canadian Autoworker makes, but if its more then its State-side worker does, I'd expect there to be changes. Not to mention that I'd assume that most of the medical is taken care of by National Heathcare, where as the US does not have this. Good question, but just not regards to the Panthers....with the Edge and Flex being built in Canada, the High Canadian dollar will affect Ford's profit margins on them...I bet Ford wasn't expecting the CAD to be equal or be worth more then the USD. I'm sure the USD will come back up and be equal or worth more, but its a matter of when this will happen.
  11. Just a placeholder for December's Sales Results that I'm assuming will be out tomorrow.... I saw an article stating that Ford's sales will be down 10% for the month...lets see how wrong or right they are...so far they haven't been able to hit the market for a worth of damn...
  12. The Mazda 2 has the same gapping maw that the upcoming Verve/Fiesta....
  13. Is that a spoiler on the back of it? That ruins it IMO
  14. You are the walking double standard here Here we go with the holier then I standard your playing...since Ford got more money from you (supposedly) your the AUTHORTHY on the way things are supposed to be done vs everyone else here? Intolerant? Please..there is nothing wrong with having a opposing view point, but once you go off on your trademarked tirades all your doing is proving your a troll because your not getting your way.
  15. So here lies the other problem, when someone disagrees with you, you automatically brand them a cheerleader...I never got the whole self deprecation thing with people who have to constantly put down someone, something, etc...normally people just avoid that type of shit...
  16. The problem is that those criticisms get old after a while...its like you have cancer, and then you keep getting reminded you have it, even though steps are being taken to get rid of it. Most of the people you brand as cheerleaders know that Ford NA has problems, but harping about them over and over isn't going to fix anything.
  17. Wow whole article based one line in another article: http://money.cnn.com/2007/12/26/magazines/...sion=2007122706 Yet another reporter that has no fucking clue as how to the automotive world works and another that further compounds it
  18. how long does it take to wash a car? :P Maybe the car washes worked still? :P
  19. looks like deisel engine from the 1950's...
  20. It really doesn't bother me unless I get a really crappy car...I went though quite a few rentals when my Mustang was down after an accident: I had the following: Suzuki Forenza: POS, felt like driving a 92 Escort, but a car that is 14 years newer should improve upon a 14 yr old car! Chevy Aveo: Major POS Dodge Caliber: Has potential, but the CVT was annoying to drive and the interior materials where horrible! VW Jetta: Damn nice car...great room, nice ride and good pickup
