  1. Untill someone enforces it, its not worth a hill of beans :P :finger:
  2. Its because the Tea and crumpet crowd automatically assume since we didn't get the C1 here that the current 08 Focus is a POS. Too bad magazines and other forms of media aren't more objective when it comes to their reviews. Beyond the somewhat subjective styling (personal preference) the new Focus has alot to offer at a good price...
  3. Is that with or without the optional side impact airbags? Anyways I think the whole Star rating (like most things using it) is over rated...hell if your in a bad enough wreck, your gonna die anyways.
  4. Despite what Pioneer thinks, I'm not a big of jackass as he thinks...my father is semi-retired from Ford (skilled trades) and is wondering what he's wondering what he would have to do if they went on strike, since there is no plant left where he worked at I've seen and experienced second-hand the good and bad about being in a Union and had an offer to work at the plant, but went my own way, which worked out for the best for me...
  5. what that they can fill it with scab or replacement workers? :P I'm sure that there will be um problems in doing so, but it is doable...
  6. Where do you come up with this shit? Anyways, keep in mind that Ford is working with Fiat on B and sub-B sized cars...the new up coming KA is based on the Fiat criquino or whatever hell its called. Edited: wrong manufacture
  7. doh so much for the C1 being so much better then the C170 :P
  8. But the problem is that the vast majority of the UAW doesn't have anything else to fall upon in job skills if they do lose their job. I think most of them would rather have some sort of job vs no job at all...not the mention the UAW wouldn't have any dues coming in either. For the most part the every day autoworker has no "real" recourse in forcing a company into doing something, since Chrysler could coseviabltly say fuck you to all its workers and go overseas if it wanted too...Chrysler should be an interesting limitums test as to how much "harm" a strike could do, since the GM strike seems to be just a farce.
  9. What do you prove by doing that? Your saying that out of spite
  10. Two for Two....Ford next? http://money.cnn.com/2007/10/10/news/compa...dex.htm?cnn=yes If this settled in 43 hours or so like the GM strike, Pioneer, your getting fucked by the UAW, not Ford.
  11. The problem is that a BOF sedan and BOF Truck/SUV are two totally different animals, plus the BOF sedan isn't the same as a BOF truck...not to mention that you can get a much more tighter frame out of a unibody then BOF car
  12. Well I wouldn't hold my breath on that one, unless they already designed in the 5 MPH bumpers to meet Canadian regulations
  13. Wonder if thats the US spec model, its lacking the gaping hole in the front bumper and the area where the grill will go looks larger to accommodate a 3 bar grill
  14. I was talking about Dearborn Derrek not Edmunds, he was at the polit plant putting the damn thing together
  15. If the UAW goes on strike against Chrysler, it will be the first time since 1976....wonder if they go for the hat-trick and strike against ford too
  16. Plus your arguing with someone who has seen the truck without all the camo on it...people these days...
  17. What makes you say that about Ford? if anything, they have been the best out of the big 3 or whatever you want to call them with production
  18. I went WTF when I first turned it on after halftime...almost forgot it was one! But it ended up well for me I'll be the first with the off topic in this thread...what the hell is up with the Nissan Rouge commercials? It seemed like they are on at least 3-4 times an hour...gets annoying after a while
  19. How many people quaifiy for all those incentives? Most of the time its one or the other...I bet once he sat down and did the numbers he wouldn't get 2 out of the 3 $500 dollar bonuses.. Plus its on Average Not a one off deal like your example is
  20. Saw/Heard alot of Mercury Sable Commericals with the lovely Jill Wagner on CBS in the NY metro market during Football and primetime
  21. I think that FWD are more capaible in the snow vs RWD cars has been oversold as a selling point when FWD cars came out about 30 years ago. Plus you really shouldn't be out on the roads if there is 6 inches of snow on the ground, unplowed.
