Lincoln MkX shows itself with minimal camo
Blueblood replied to ausrutherford's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
The thing is beautiful, looks just as good with the stock grill, that's just the only example I have. And that horrid looking strip of chrome at the bottom of all the new Lincolns surrounded by black plastic that then wraps around the fogs is some of the worst design I've ever seen. And those wheels are not "hideous", they are beautiful old school style rims, hideous would be the nasty fake chrome wheels being thrown on so many new cars these days. -
There's supposed to be some info coming out at the LA show, but I think they are saving it for Detroit. From the horse's mouth.

Lincoln MkX shows itself with minimal camo
Blueblood replied to ausrutherford's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
I agree, the current MKX is Lincolns best looking vehicle by far, it looks very classy, the grill and headlights are understated and it just works. The giant whale face that they are slapping on every Lincoln is one of the most horrible looking designs I've ever seen. This is the direction they should have gone with the line-up.. -
2011 Fiesta OFFICIAL REVEAL!

Wait, does the US Fiesta not get fog lights?
Blueblood replied to Sweetwater88's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
I don't know if it's a foglight or there just for looks, good news is you can get that big fugly chrome plastic thing around it in black. -
Damn, the V6 with the performance pack should be a killer in the turns! For once I'd be satisfied with the V6, and for the price will be a performance bargain, I think I might stop waiting for another SVT Focus and trade my 2600 pound, FWD, gas guzzling Focus for one of these fuel sipping, 305 horsepower gas sippers.. :shades:

2011 Fiesta american version.
Blueblood replied to polarissucks's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
I'll be getting pics of it tomorrow night, and seeing exactly what changes they made to the NA one in detail, I hope they didn't mess the interior up and turn the suspension to mush. -
That's weird that you can't order the 2WD with the V8... And it's gonna be a sad day when they Explorer comes to an end next year..
-
Sucks that they are forcing FWD large cars on us up here, and they won't sell their best sedan in the world in their home market. But goes along with their profit/emulate Toyota only mindset.
-
I agree that it would be, build the thing here. I also don't see why they can't just finally re-fresh the CV? It has to be very profitable, and we know Mulally doesn't like killing off old established nameplates. Give it some modern looking door skins, mirrors, front and rear clips, and make the interior even more cop friendly/durable. Police departments wouldn't have to spend buttloads of money on a expensive Taurus where they have to change everything that is mounted to the car. And finally trash that ancient and in-efficient motor and trans for a 3.5 and six speed, with an optional 5.0 and six speed for pursuit vehicles, would probably get much better mileage than the lump in there now. I just can't see the LAPD running their daily pursuits which includes curb hopping, smashing through dips, and going over other rough terrain at high speeds in any FWD car, if they worked they'd already be using them.

I would never pay that much for a nav app when there are much cheaper ones that do the job just as good, I'm using Gmaps, was originally 20 bucks, now it's up to 35 after TBT came out in June. Although Sygic is looking really good, and it's 39 bucks.. -

Ford KA in California
Blueblood replied to Mark B. Morrow's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Love the headlights, I hope we get the projectors as an option at least. But I lost interest in the Fords after seeing the hotties below later in the day.. Ok well one of em was a Ford.. -_- -
Ford KA in California
Blueblood replied to Mark B. Morrow's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
They had a Aqua colored one there in March, don't like it at all, I think the Fiesta is small enough. I loved the previous gen Ka, I've seen a few from Mexico up here in so Cal, the new one looks really bad in person, especially with that sexy Fiesta right behind it!!! Although what was behind the Fiesta was what really caught my eye.. -

This is the deal, it was just an idea, none of us know the fine details of what Fords costs are to conduct business, it never even crossed my mind for Ford to do something like ship Fusion engine's and tranny's all the way to Turkey. I figured by the time they go on sale here, that they would be making them here considering Ford is shifting some of their plants to car production from trucks, and that the Focus chassis is supposed to be a huge part of that. No big deal. Ok, it has nothing to do with how much you post, go back and read your post again, you made a condescending remark directed towards me, so that's why I brought up your post count, and I was in a bad mood at the time anyways, so forget about it. I've seen your work, have you considered going to art school? I went to the same one J Mays did, incredible school, but I stopped going because it was very expensive, and I just didn't have the artistic ability to make it at that level, you've gotta be born with it. The people and the facilities there are top notch, I wanted to be a designer for Ford, I can see the concepts in my head, but I just can't put them onto paper. I thought they could work some magic and teach me, but drawing cars is very difficult, you've really gotta have a natural artistic ability to get it right. -

Wow, so now you resort to lying to cover for your favored members. Pathetic. I never insulted ANYBODY, I was personally attacked and insulted by several people, totally un-provoked, and you accuse me of insulting people? Go read the thread again mr. "moderator". Robert Lane should remove your moderator status, as you are nothing of the sort, this board was not intended to be a cheer squad for Ford, people shouldn't have to face insults for discussing things. You set a horrible example for people like rmc who thinks it's ok to be rude, condescending, and insulting because he knows you'll let him get away with it. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index...showtopic=32068 You're not following your own rules, and I really don't care, but the hypocrisy and the hyper-sensitivity among some people here is ridiculous, you can't even offer up constructive criticism anymore without being attacked. It's a shame because this used to be the best Ford website out there, now it's like reading Ford's press releases, it's boring and debate is dead, unless you consider "Toyota SUCKS! Ford rules!" thoughtful debate. If the rules don't apply to everybody, get rid of them, your job as a moderator isn't to bend the rules in favor of people you agree with, and let those people attack those you disagree with, your job is to be unbiased, clearly you are not so I wonder why you still have the position. -
Like the pic posted by White99, I've seen plenty of mods with carbs, I think most of them are running one off the crank, or maybe this setup >> http://www.sullivanperformance.com/YVS450/...s/coilpacks.htm
