  1. Man...as the title of this thread says....OAC definately has issues...LOL! I can't get over just how mean you are to each other. Merry Christmas to all of you and may your new year be safe and prosperous...and as debt free as possible!
  2. Nobody is blaming Van Dyke. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=206...id=a.K3qQ4QwAwM http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1256045700..._share_facebook http://online.wsj.com/article/SB125634533619705149.html
  3. I agree. I would rather take a wage cut than lose another 40 hours of vacation. If there is anything we need the most, it's vacation. As for Chryslers ultimatum..the government should fire right back at them and tell them " If you don't build anything here..you don't sell anything here!" But we all know they won't do that.
  4. The money doesn't have to be invested here. As long as Americans have good paying jobs, they will be spending. Here in Canada, we mostly depend on the U.S. buying our product, so if they have high paying jobs, that helps us too.

  6. I am from Canada and know alot about it. We in Canada pay attention to what is happening in the U.S. Unlike the U.S., we get all of your news in our country. I watched both conventions and just adore The Daily show with Jon Stewart. As for the McCain comment....here it is.. Note the date. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMPYkNQlJMM
  7. Ditto....couldn't have said it better myself.
  8. I keep trying to get on there and I keep getting this: Our records indicate that you are not presently eligible to access this site. I can get onto the AXZ site but not the employee network. Any ideas?

  10. How can they start a contract when the old one isnt expired yet? 3 years is 3 years.
  11. The 500 new hires will be hired before the end of this contract. They have to be in place and trained before the third shift starts in September.
  12. I have just spent alot of time going through the pages and pages of this crap from Trimdingman and I am disgusted that he has been the only Canadian you are getting information from on this topic. I agree there are problems in our health care, but NOTHING as bad as what he is saying. The government has, in the last 2 years instituted a Health Premium on our taxes, which, for me, only amounted to $750 for the year based on my income. It is alot lower for lower income people. I work at the same place as him and with an income of $80,000, I only paid $20,000 of that in INCOME TAXES. Not $40,000 as he says. I am living quite comfortably, able to go to the doctor anytime I want and leave without paying a cent extra. If I am in the emergency room, I do not pay a cent extra. If I am in the hospital, I do not pay a cent extra. It does not cost me thousands of dollars to have an operation. I do not have to worry about being kicked out of my hospital bed if I cant pay my bill. I do not have to worry about what is and what is not covered by an HMO. I can go to any hospital or doctor without being charged a cent or be denied care. I know that there are alot of you who don't like Michael Moore, because you think he is unpatriotic or some other reason, but his movie Sicko is spot on. I just watched it the other night and, if you haven't, I encourage you to. What you are listening to from Trimdingman is just one persons opinion. I, for one love not having to deal with paperwork and bills when I am sick or hurt. Or worrying about if I will be able to pay my mortgage after the bill comes in. I also love the fact that I am helping those less fortunate who couldn't afford health care otherwise.
