I have just spent alot of time going through the pages and pages of this crap from Trimdingman and I am disgusted that he has been the only Canadian you are getting information from on this topic. I agree there are problems in our health care, but NOTHING as bad as what he is saying. The government has, in the last 2 years instituted a Health Premium on our taxes, which, for me, only amounted to $750 for the year based on my income. It is alot lower for lower income people. I work at the same place as him and with an income of $80,000, I only paid $20,000 of that in INCOME TAXES. Not $40,000 as he says. I am living quite comfortably, able to go to the doctor anytime I want and leave without paying a cent extra. If I am in the emergency room, I do not pay a cent extra. If I am in the hospital, I do not pay a cent extra. It does not cost me thousands of dollars to have an operation. I do not have to worry about being kicked out of my hospital bed if I cant pay my bill. I do not have to worry about what is and what is not covered by an HMO. I can go to any hospital or doctor without being charged a cent or be denied care. I know that there are alot of you who don't like Michael Moore, because you think he is unpatriotic or some other reason, but his movie Sicko is spot on. I just watched it the other night and, if you haven't, I encourage you to. What you are listening to from Trimdingman is just one persons opinion. I, for one love not having to deal with paperwork and bills when I am sick or hurt. Or worrying about if I will be able to pay my mortgage after the bill comes in. I also love the fact that I am helping those less fortunate who couldn't afford health care otherwise.
