  1. I agree with you on your reply. Why the UAW back's up loser employee's is beyond me. I'm a hard core union guy, show up to work everyday, have a good work record, etc. If I come to work, how come the "losers" can't? The people who do come to work have to pickup the slack while the "losers" get a pat on the back...NEVER did make sence to me....never will. That's my only gripe with the union.
  2. Ha, pissed at your neighbors? What about your family members? Everyone but 2 of my family members drive a foreign made car.
  3. Bingo!!!! Best reply on this thread. No matter what concessions we give up, hopefully none but whatever happens won't do shit if we can't sell cars. And in this economy and with nobody working or only making $10 an hour, who is going to buy cars? And if they do buy cars, will they buy a Ford? Not everybody is going to make it in this economy. I don't see how all Big 3 companies will survive thie horrific market right now.
  4. I'm on yourside for this one. I agree, we work for Ford not at a certain facility.
  5. I agree with ya' Steve but these same people we need to write are the same people who want to see us fail.
  6. When I read the article, I also read the "reader comments" about the article, checkout what people say and think about us...pretty frightning. Most people hate us.....
  7. I agree with your reply 1000%. The general public hates us because they are jealous. If they could of worked for the big 3, they would have in a new york minute. Has the big 3 made mistakes? Yes, but so have the banks....HUGE mistakes and all they gotta do is pickup the phone and shed a few tears and Uncle Sam cranks up the printing presses and say's ...."HERE YA' GO MR.BANKER". It makes me so freakin' sick I could puke.
  8. Yeah, get your facts straight Harry. Name me a teacher, cop or a nurse that makes $29 an hour? Don't know where you are from but the last time I checked, these people aren't even close. Nice going Harry........
  9. Or will it be evenly distributed for all 3 companies to provide golden parachutes for their upper management personal?
  10. What about living on the other side of the river...in Indiana? Would that be cheaper?
  11. Reminds me of the song by "Sonny & Cher"....."And The Beat Goes On...and The Beat Goes On".
  12. You better believe it mister...good reply.
  13. Wow....we have a winner!!!!! AWESOME REPLY!!!!!
  14. I've been thinking this all along...these buyouts will have a "secret" window open at all times if anybody wants them...maybe I'm wrong. Ford wants us gone, why wouldn't they offer these buyouts to anybody who would take them. Only reason I can think if they wouldn't is if it had something to do with a federal government law, etc.
  15. Haven't they said that before? I agree, they will say it again.
  16. hey nelly, what do YOU think he means?
  17. thanks Pump, that's exactly what I was trying to say..........I'm glad common sence still is in some people's heads.
  18. Looks like Uncle Sam is not going to give any aid to The Big 3 which will cancel the merger of GM & Chrysler....now what? I guess the mortgage industry got all the money and there is none left over to help out Detroit.
  19. the article said the Escape will be built there...what will happen @ KCAP?
  20. what other choice do we have? only other jobs left are at burger king and wendy's.
  21. i've said this months ago and people thought I was crazy.
  22. Look for that any anything else from the big 3.
  23. I'll tell ya' what is up.....the guy is getting cold feet. He thought ford was a good deal, thought they would get things right and the "way foward plan part 101" would take lift and take off but just like all of the other "plans" it has nose dived. Anybody with his kind of money ain't no dummy. The old saying goes....."if it smells like shit"...................
