  1. Sent, I'll tell others about this too.
  2. Looks like an engine failure. The truck is in an insurance auction minus motor. They probably sent the long block back to Toyo for study.
  3. I was told I could not collect unemployment starting the day my buyout went into affect which was Jan 1, 07. I had my check in just over two weeks
  4. At least us final assembly people were there to catch body and paint defects. Not to many things made it past my zone
  5. On occasion we would spot a Ford emblem on a Mercury Montego deck lid coming down the trim line. My groupleader would call the zone responsible for putting the emblems on and say, "we got another Ford Montego down here!"
  6. I see quite a few of these in my area, F-150's with the Lincoln front clip. I saw one today and it had Ford wheels and tailgate. I do not understand it.
  7. This afternoon a guy on Fox news said the UAW is whats killing the big three. He siad the cars were selling fine. But union dues and benefits were dragging them down. He siad they needed to go bankrupt in order to wipe the slate clean.
  8. Ah, stainless is a must in the saltbelt known as Chicago. I use to own a sandblasting business and I knotice things like that. You still want to rough the surface up even if it is stainless, gives the paint something to grab onto. I'm sure you guys know what your doing. :reading:
  9. I would have that wrecker body sandblasted if you can. It will last twice as long if you do.
  10. It screams "retro" Nick. It makes me think of the Ford trucks my old man drove back in the 70's. Makes me want to run out and buy one. FORD in your face kind of thing.
  11. OMG! That grill needs to be standard. Nice!
  12. Nitrous mixed with gas vapor condenses the charge because it is cold. This allows a greater fuel charge than with natural aspiration. I wouldn't think that it has any flash point on its own. Paul "Red" Adair was the best at putting out fire by using a controled explosion. Warning, 8 minutes long: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqQIfK4gc04
  13. Like the guy who wrote this even has a clue. My take is the already burning fire was intensified by nitrous as it bleed from a burned line. Just like adding oxygen to acetylene. He did say "It looks like".
  14. Looks like a Fox body. Lucky to be alive. http://www.courant.com/community/news/ec/h...0,3372532.story
  15. I don't wish harm on anyone either. It would seem that speed was a factor in some of these wrecks. Having the most horse power and quickest accelerating truck in its class has its disadvantages.
  16. I hate -40, my favorite water hole would freeze over. We lit some kingsford charcoal on a metal garbage can lid, and positioned it under the oil pan on my freinds F-150. It started right up after about an hour.
  17. I remember a chilly -40 degree morning in Houghton Lake Michigan around 1998. Both of the Fords would not fire. The Polaris 2 cycle oil poured like Hines Ketsup. Heck, The Polaris took dozens of pulls before it fired up. Then the track didn't want to turn because it was frozen.
  18. I DO NOT like how Ford puts chrome on tail lights. I can not grasp the new Sable tail light treatment.
