  1. Hope they can get the rear end right on the next truck. A vast majority of us on the F150 forums have a nasty clunk when taking off from a stop or going into reverse. They had my truck for over a month and still bad. Even the latest TSB doesn't fix it.
  2. ^ ouch J. What a bummer. I hope my issues don't start stacking up like yours. I can't believe all the problems with my new vehicles. My 09 Edge was bulletproof. Only saw the dealer once for a leaking axle seal. 2010 Fusion (lease) never saw the dealer, only for oil changes. I was debating on a new truck in a year or so and will seriously look at what the competitors have to offer. The shitty part is that I have to sit at the dealer for all this. My wife needs the car to get to work. She is way too uncomfortable driving my truck and will get into an accident worrying too much. So, I follow her to work 16 miles, then take the car in to the dealer. I have to wait there because it's not like I can bring my road bicycle in the car and it's too far for the courtesy vehicle to take me home. I may ask for a rental and have them keep the fusion until all problems are fixed.
  3. ^ Cool, Thank You. I'll give it a shot when I get home from work today. Hopefully that's one thing to cross off the list.
  4. For the headlight high beam issue, we were on a lit street pulling away from the in-laws house. I leave the lights on "auto", so I never touch the switch. As I was pulling out, the street lit up brighter and then I noticed the high beam indicator (blue bulb indicator) was on. I turned them off and within a few seconds the high beams went on again. I turned them off again. This went on 4 times total. The cars were crossing in front of me as we were approaching a street light when they got beamed. So it wasn't their tail lights or headlights. They were just crossing in front of me at a bad time. I was getting pissed and the wife said it happened to her a few days back. The rest of the drive home nothing happened, all went fine. So, do the high beams turn on automatically if you're on a dark road?
  5. Yes, I just looked at our window sticker and we have driver assist. Thanks for the TSB heads up!
  6. Well, this so far has been the worst new Ford I've bought ( bought 10 new ones). My 2011 F-150 is pretty close though (needed new power module for hvac, rear end clunk they can't fix, occasional tranny lunge) The first day of delivery we noticed the sunglasses holder had a bad clip and hung down 1/4 " on one side. Took it back and they fixed it. - The other day I posted about the reverse sensors not lowering the radio volume and barely audible. - Now the high beams intermittently go on. People in front of me think I'm mad at them. - Navigation voice directions didn't turn on the other day. Then worked fine the next day. - Massive rattle coming from the Passenger side, unsure if it's in the dash or door panel. It was embarrassing showing the in-laws the car and rattling like a 89 Chevy. I tried to turn the radio up or talk when hitting bumps. Needless to say, It goes back next week for hopefully a fix. I know rattles are hard to locate and the intermittent glitches are even worse. I hope we didn't get a lemon. I'll keep everybody updated and please feel free to post if any of you guys/gals have experienced these problems and had them fixed. It may help the dealer narrow down the troubleshooting. I tried posting on fordfusionclub, but there is a lame mandatory post count before I can make a new topic.
  7. As timf said. Unless your build date of the 28th gets pushed back you should see the car by early/ mid May along with everything else he mentioned about suppliers, etc.. If you were priority, I don't know why it took your dealer 10 days to place the order? I placed my order and received an email with my VIN the next day.
  8. I also remember seeing something about a bad coil pack which caused the same things you're seeing. I'll link a very long winded post for you. I know it's a F-150 forum, but it may help you and your dealer. why is it not allowing me to copy/paste a link? Fordman, I'm trying to paste the sticky on the www.f150forum.com under the 2009-2014 section that says 5.0 shuddering and EB engine miss & loss of power.
  9. I was going to say..I hope they aren't comparing the 3.5L EB. Keeping up with the flow of traffic I'm getting 13.2mpg 50/50 (city/highway) driving
  10. I saw a late model BMW on fire last week. The entire hood was engulfed and a small fire trail leaving the front. It wasn't an auto accident either. Probably a fuel line broke loose and lit off. Seen a few older Volkswagon's and various other makes and models.
  11. It'll be a little more harsh when going over speed bumps or hitting pothole. It's a great trade-off for how well they handle. My wife says, It's like a womens stiletto. They look hot as hell but at times not the most comfortable things. Sometimes looking good outweighs comfort.
  12. So, I was reading the other threads about the sensors. They didn't seem to cover what I'm experiencing. It has nothing to do with the tone changing, but I can barely hear it. The radio volume doesn't dim and the sensor noise is really quiet. The radio stays louder than the alert sound. In my truck, the radio volume shuts off and the sensor noise is very loud. I like that. In her Fusion I have to listen very closely just to hear the beeps. Is there a way to have the radio dim and the sensor volume get louder. This happens all the time. Whether it's after a long drive, short drive, etc.. so it doesn't appear to be anything with the battery charge being low.
  13. Just needs "Honkey lips" on the rear quarter panel.. :happy feet:
  14. Bastards should have stuffed that in the Fusion. Although I wonder what power it makes on 87 and 91. We don't have 93 in Cali.
  15. Looks like you chose the "spinner" wheel option... :club: . Looking good!
  16. Awesome ride. BTW, the wife is LOVING her new Fusion. Thanks again!!
  17. I really like it, but a little concerned on why they decided to go with a Tundra style grille?
  18. They better not. We just picked up a 2.0L much to my disappointment (wife's car). She didn't want me paying more for the Lincoln just for the V6, although I was more than ready to. I really want the car to have more "nuts", didn't really care what power plant is in there. 305 HP on 87 octane and a full second quicker in the V6 is very nice.
  19. Honestly we haven't tried it yet. It's the wife's car so we'll try to get around to that this weekend. It was my first purchase from them. Deanh here at the blueoval forums works for them so the whole process (ordering to signing on the line) was a piece of cake and rather enjoyable. He's a funny ass dude who likes to screw off as much as me. No BS trying to sell lifetime sealants, alarms and all that other crap. I walked into the dealership, never met him and went up to his office telling him I'm a pissed off customer who demands a straight up trade for a 89 Hyundai for the 2014 GT500. At first he was like WTF, then I couldn't hold it in and started laughing. He knew right away. I suggest you hook up with him for an easy time buying a vehicle. They even offered more than CarMax for my 2009 Edge trade-in.
  20. It was ordered. 2.0L, FWD, Titanium with spoiler delete, MFT, Nav, parking assist, driver package, 19" H spoke wheels, white pearl, illuminated door sills. Did not want sunroof, rear inflatable seatbelts or adaptive cruise. Going in for tint today.
  21. I went with Day Vue. I didn't want to screen to have a matte / hazy finish. Glare isn't really an issue. I just wanted a little protective film for minor scratches and smears when i wipe it down.
  22. ^Thanks, it worked. Pretty much covered shipping.
