  1. When I was at the auto show last year I was looking over the tundra and the two biggest things that came to me was the inside door panels would jiggle when you closed the doors and the front upper control arms were a very thin stamped steel. If anyone gets the chance take a look at those upper 'a' arms and see what I mean.
  2. I really hope the worst for Toyota. Not that I hate the company so much, I do but its the people that drive them and are just so arrogant and piss me off. I never really thought about tailgate strength. So far in my '04 ranger I had a sea doo gsx waverunner, dodge v10 truck engine and a hotsy pressure washer resting on the gate of that truck. That hotsy bent the plate that covers the lock mechanisms but just slightly. Id recommend to anyone that is around a good size hotsy pressure washer to try and lift it, definatly threw me off guard when I attempted to load it in the truck. HEEEAAAVVVYYY Long live the real American Pickups.
  3. Im the same way Im not into the wheelies at 100mph but with this bike its pretty tough to keep the wheel down, it is fun when it happens though Sorry to hear about your spill, in all honesty it scares the hell out of me when I ride but as long as Im scared it kinda keeps me in check and careful, when I stop being scared of it I stop respecting what it can do and will probally sell it.
  4. All i can say is if I die on a bike I died doing something I love. And Ill make sure Im going fast enough as to liquefy myself on impact so no one can use my parts.
  5. Hey another aprilia owner. Deadly yea sure, but damn can it pull that front wheel up in a hurry. Heres mine
  6. What did you do to it that you couldnt open the doors? I never had an issue with that in any of my fox body t-birds, that car was 'I' beam strong and my '95 mustang wouldnt have any issues crooked on a jack. Now my '97 t-bird and my '93 convertible mustang are a different story, the dash in the stang practically gives me a lap dance going over tracks the car shakes so much, but the canary on chrome and black interior makes me ignore the small stuff :shades: .
  7. From what I read the taurus is being classed as a full size car. Considering the camry is a mid size and the taurus is waay bigger in just about every way.
  8. I never really had that problem with my turbo coupes, I just made sure the floor mat was in place before I got in the car, hook could have helped but it wasnt a huge deal.
  9. Hes kinda a stroke but hes much easier to ignore than that HEMISBC guy was geez I never hated someone I never met in my life online more than him, the stupid $hit that would come from him gave me headaches. I have been busy with work for some time and havent been online too much but please tell me hes not around anymore.
  10. Normally I would agree but GM seens to be doing good with eeesuuzuuu engines so if it takes a poogeuot to make Ford the most reliable diesel pickup then so be it.
  11. How long have you been at the Chicago plant? My dad kinda felt the same way with the vehicles he's built there too, however we've owned probably around 20 other Fords, its not like he hated the build quality of their cars, they just never made anything he liked there, well aside from the old t-birds.
  12. I talk to the engineers routinely but I havent got a chance to talk to them in the last few weeks. My dad works at the plant and he really likes the car, not too much of the interior has changed but he liked that to begin with, it was the outside that he disliked. He drives a '97 t-bird and loves the cars sleek liines, not much of that going on with the 500 but the taurus is a definate improvement.
  13. I been meaning to take some pictures of the holding lots at the assembly plant, they have a few thousand cars waiting to be delivered. Engineers have been driving the hell out of these cars, lots of people are taking them home over the weekend to make sure everything is ok with them too. I never remember seeing so many tauruses out on the street getting tested like this. I hope they're beating the $hit out of them too so any little problem will surface and get taken care of.
  14. The shipping lot next to the Chicago assembly plant has a lot FULL of 500/freestyle/montegos waiting to be put on car haulers and trains. I could take a pic for you if you like. The plant has been running on and off for the last 2 months, this is the first time I seen this lot full of cars in about 3 months, the holding lot next to the supplier campus is empty They have tauruses and sables running around the neighborhoods next to the plant this week. I didnt get time to get my camera up to snap some shots but I came up to the intersection with a taurus full of engineers and I told em to beat the $hit out of that car I dont want to see any problems with it when it comes out. They kinda looked at me weird and took off, they didnt spin em but it looked like it moved out pretty good for having 4 people in the car, nice growl to it under hard acceleration. The sable looks better than the taurus IMO from what I seen on the street. The taurus looks kinda oddball with such a straight edged front end and a bubbly lookin top. The fender vents look nice in real life.
  15. You googled that didnt you
  16. Alright smarty pants how about XR4ti
  17. Who buys sports cars in january/february.
  18. It would be nice to have a New Ford motor make some real horsepower on nuts alone. Im all for unnatural help but the more power it makes without pressure the better capable it will be of making way more under boost.
  19. A problem all too common with Americans nowadays. Its really a shame. Id like to say I hope you lose your job and have to panhandle for a living but I just cant do it, no matter how much I dislike someone I have never met in real life.
  20. You forgot to mention how the balljoints took a catastrophic failure right when you hit 25,000 miles, and then right after your hubs froze then your brakes started pulsing.
  21. Your funny. Insane but funny.
  22. That a$$wipe would have a better chance of getting sponsored by Cottonelle than Corona
  23. Theyre also adding a lincoln to the Chicago assembly line.
