  1. Good point! Happened to me when I tested (wouldn’t go to set speed because of car ahead of me). Maybe an over-reaction/mistake re: One pedal.
  2. Agreed. It’s hard to judge how fast it was moving before it accelerated - maybe less than 10 though.
  3. If it was stopped it wouldn’t have hit anything. Unless you mean it stopped after it hit the cars? before it hit the cars it clearly was moving forward, and then accelerated into the stopped vehicles.
  4. I just tested on the way home and resume works at 10 mph, but not at 9 mph. 10 mph is not unusual speed to be going in a parking lot. The resume button sticks out from the rest of the buttons and makes it easier to accidentally hit.
  5. In one of the fb groups I’m active in people post about SUA frequently, and it is usually explained a s having hit resume. When I’ve hit it I ha ve done it while making a turn similar to the video.
  6. Activate is 15mph. Resume is seemingly less (if limited at all). Here’s a thread on it. https://www.lightningowners.com/threads/cruise-control-engages-at-low-speed-with-accidentally-bumping-control.4515/
  7. I wouldn’t be surprised if they accidentally resumed cruise control while turning the wheel. I’ve done it myself a couple times, and people post about it in the Lightning groups quite often. With sub 4 second 0-60 it can be shocking when you don’t intend it to happen.
  8. There’s a guy in my town who put a newer clip on his excursion (not the latest, but newer) and it looks sharp.
  9. The faster charging is certainly competitive. The EVs that charge faster are 800 volt systems (most, including Ford are 400 volt). That’s a generational change, and not something you’ll see in a minor refresh.
  10. There were people who wanted a Monaro and Commodore too. Not enough to make them viable stateside tho.
  11. Eh. The Everest, like most AUS designs it seems, looks a generation old. It looks like a Durango with a Ranger front clip. It would lead to confusion with Explorer and Expedition sales, and add marginal sales. A fixed roof Bronco makes more sense. The new Land Cruiser is the first Toyota in a long time that I liked the look of.
  12. The article called it blame; the gist of the article was that the government should go after the big three carriers rather than Apple.
  13. I read an article recently that placed blame for Apples dominance in the US with the carriers; The articles theory as to why is Apple provides support for their phones and as a result offloads a lot of the support that would otherwise be provided by the carrier.
  14. Our 2010 Flex was a great vehicle. We have about the same mileage. We kept it for my son, but decided to give him our 2015 Edge instead, so the Flex is going to be donated (it needs some work, and is not worth fixing to sell).
  15. Agreed. A fixed/hard top Bronco option would be a great addition imho.
  16. Holy cow is the site snappy now. Thanks again!
  17. And it must be BOF with a V8, preferably the 4.6, but the 302 will do. RWD with a manual. None of this Coyote stuff.
  18. My wife has been happy with her ‘23 Maverick (non-hybrid). The engine sounds a little too much like a sewing machine to me, but I’m also used to driving an EV at this point.
  19. Thank you! Any thought of offering subscriptions? The sites I am most active in disable ads if you are a subscriber. The site does seem fast!
  20. lol Search for allot and you can see what his current nom de plume likely is.
  21. I don’t trust people who don’t know the difference between a lot and allot.
  22. Recent Stelantis concept vs reality.
  23. I’ve had park assist on three different vehicles since 2015 and used it exactly zero times.
  24. My son noticed we spent the bulk of our time at Ford. Stellantis skipping the show was a boon for Ford. The Wrangler driving course is always popular. This year they got everyone in Broncos instead. The GTD is gorgeous. I want a Switchgear. The Lightning Platinum Black shows fingerprints like mad. The Green/Gold appearance package on the Mach-E looks good in real life. The Mach-E Rally is wacky. The new Ranger looks great, especially Raptor, though the interior looks dated. The Explorer is underwhelming. The Expedition is a dinosaur. No Lincoln!! Would have thought they’d have a Nautilus at least. Elsewhere: I really like the new Landcruiser. I don’t see how it doesn’t just replace the 4Runner. Lexus GX is pretty nice too. Nee SantaFe is impressive. VW Bus is really nice too. Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX look ok. Would hate to get a model based on a platform from another manufacturer that the brand doesn’t intend to use going forward. The “Chicago Drives Electric” area was popular too, and featured BEV from virtually all the manufacturers. Including Tesla. Was surprised to see Tesla participate. They had a Cybertruck there. It’s every bit as ugly in real life. The show seemed to be half the size it usually is. (Was only in one side of McCormick Place).
  25. We ordered my wife’s Maverick, it took 13 months, but we paid MSRP, and had no markups. Bought from the same salesman as I bought my last five Fords. Paid MSRP on the Lightning and Mach-E too. Wife is very happy with the Maverick. It’s fun to drive (hers is the 2.5/Non-Hybrid). The engine noise is weird, but other than that its a very good value.
