  1. It is old. Thats from the M1 build and yes the access door is gone. it's not shortened, it looks that way because it's the s.cab front door with no access door. 127" wheelbase is still the shortest.
  2. Because the regular cab is not a big money maker, Ford probable does not care if you see it or not.
  3. A-crew= Mon-thurs. 6am-4:30pm (between 92-94 to hold) B-crew=tues.-fri. 5:30pm-4am C-crew=Fri,sat. 6am-4:30pm & sun.,mon. 5:30pm-4am. Not sure about the trades schedule, but I'll look into it for you tomorrow.
  4. Really? I can tell you right now which line at DTP will install the urea tank.
  5. 99 will make B-crew. I know of people with 02,03 seniority. Be ready to work though. Not only will you have to learn a current job, you'll have to learn the 09 job as well when it comes down the line. It's a very hectic time right now at DTP.
  6. Hope to see ya one day at DTP. We got a good group of trades here (I hear the hours suck though) and the guy in charge of them kept DAP running for years with duct tape and paper clips
  7. Local handout at DTP I believe said flowbacks would start in May to replace buyouts and temps.
  8. If you work the frame side (frames for the C.V.,G.M. & T.C.) it's probable the 5/8's. if you work in the build up area for DTP it's 4/10's.
  9. This is almost the exact same (this is an FX2 sport extreme I found on line) The hood is dead on the same the side goes from wheel well to well on the STX
  10. It has 18" rims (very nice looking IMHO) and stickers (stripes) on the hood and along the sides. Overall it's a very sharp looking truck. The only drawback (for me) is it only comes with the 4.6L.
  11. Maybe complexity? Ford was expecting a higher take rate for CM. We had new tooling installed last year to put in CM on the final line but the take rate was so low they moved it to an offline job. With current model you can just slap the CM rails in after the truck is built. With the 09 you have to take the bed rails off to put the CM rails in or not put the bed rails on until the CM rails are installed. As far as the things like toolboxes and ladder racks, Ford probable figures you can get a better one aftermarket then they could offer for cost.
  12. 1. Don't know what the dimensions are but it's not that big. It can hold some small tools or maybe 12 cans of "pop" with very little ice. 2. No plans for now for anything more than what is now offered with the C.M.
  13. MTP is getting something else for 2012 MY, it's not the F150.
  14. Sorry, not a clue. Ford is big into pushing the super cab and crew cabs (bigger money makers). As for H.P., no one knows or they are not saying.
  15. Been a while since I saw one, but I do believe yes.
  16. No they don't. Going back to just two doors.
  17. They probable ended the boycott because of fear that Ford might be on the verge of an upswing, and they would no longer be the "cause" of lost sales.
  18. HD package will be exactly the same including the ugly gray seven lug rims.
  19. If your talking about the heavy duty payload package(4.10 Axel, 7 lug wheels ), yes it will still be offered for 09.
  20. Only thing I have heard was that production was being increased by 10 units per shift. We have another 415 build at the end of March (150 units) and then we start the big integrated build in June (multiple trucks on all shifts at the same time) which takes us right up to job 1 when we get back from shutdown.
  21. Yes I have and it looks nice....VERY NICE!!
