All the best to you guys at TCAP, we just went through this at STAP,St.Thomas Assembly Plant in Ontario,Canada.Sept.16 was our last day,you never think it's going to happen to you but it does,we seen this coming when we went to one shift about 4yrs ago,the Company tried to kill the Crown Vic and the Grand Marquis for years and finally they did it,I know we are in different countries but I consider you a friend and neighbour ,this is a shitty business to be in,all the best ,there is life after Ford!!

Sorry to say Twin Cities,but us at STAP are in the same boat,they just sucked the life out of these cars and trucks,no upgrades and you talk about the price of gas,the Ranger gets shitty gas mileage ,really it does,I don't think Facebook is gonna save you,all the best to all our American brothers and sisters!!!

The production numbers are suppose to be the same,overtime in April for about 4-6 weeks as long as we can get parts,of course subject to change!!

Because I do have that much time, I'm just saying that some of these repairmen have alot of skill too, for someone to post that there's a call for help from the old repairmen because the new ones don't know how to fix the problems is dead wrong, alot of these repairmen have been back there for quite some time so I think they know. And your right , I'm no spring Chicken.lol

Your talking to a guy that has 29 years,not saying they are all smart but still have some pretty good guys out there. Leadership was around Thursday and told the membership that the letter is being looked at by the National so except to see it some time next week.

These repairmen in CAI are smarter than the old bunch,Ford does not want your old school bullshit in the plant, why do you think they got rid of you in the first place, this place runs a thousand times better without you old dogs, now go back to Tim's and talk about how you did this and did that. Nuff Said.

Tapper, the union dues work the same as yours. As you noticed,we are slated to close sometime next year so we have a few people that are bitter and I can understand that , but they are putting the blame on the wrong people,the CAW did not close us down, I believe it was Ford Motor Co. When you build a car for 26-27 years and have and the company sucks every nickel out of it without putting anything back they are just setting you up for failure. The UAW has shrunk from 1.500.000 members to about 350000 since 1977 so the CAW and the UAW are fighting each other for product and we lost. I wish everybody the best and can understand peoples frustration's but put your anger to the people that deserve it.

Have they not demolished that plant yet, there should so you guys don't think it's going to open again. Sorry, but let it go,let it go.

Come on guy's, you really don't think the Union would do this , they had the company's gun to there head and I think that Ken Lewenza would have did everything in his power to keep these jobs here. Some of us are are pretty angry and sometimes we say shit that you don't really mean, come on , do you really think this is CAW's fault , the company sign's your pay cheque not the CAW. They closed us down! We were never promised a job for life, hopefully we have till 3rd quarter 2011, so this gives us time to get our shit in order. Good luck to all.
