Has this proven to be as good or better yet? It very well could be, but the brand name means a lot in the Luxury market. Another aspect is time. It will take time to eliminate people’s recollection of Genesis’ plebeian roots. It’s only a short moment ago it was the Hyundai Genesis. A Mercedes is a Mercedes, it didn’t originate from a lesser brand, and has been around for nearly a century, which IMO is why it carries so much weight. In today’s day and age with people so easily swayed by celebrity endorsements and social media, perhaps Genesis can accelerate that curve.

Congrats! Make sure you post some driving impressions and a pic. -
As an early build ST owner, perhaps I can speak to some of these: 1. Has not been an issue during the 5k miles it’s been driven so far. 2. N/A 3. I hear a suspension noise that my wife nor teen kids do not, but she and my kids think it is quiet. There are no rattles or other noises. For comparison sake, my wife traded her QX80 for the Explorer. 4. The ST has a taut ride, which I prefer based on the way I drive, but suspension valving is something that can be easily modified so I don’t see this as a long term problem. 5. There are some things that I think should be better, but these are also fixable with better components. With that said, I find the statement “heinously cheap” to be quite a bit of hyperbole. 6. Nobody who has driven our ST thinks that. Perhaps the other configuration’s seats are that way, and someone else can weigh in on it.

Bronco Sport Completely Uncovered

I totally understand where you are coming from, but like aKirby said, let’s wait and see. I was likely minimizing its capabilities, and I expect some versions to be more capable, but I’m not expecting it to be more capable than the Bronco. The 235 tires available on the BrS are nearly 30 inches in diameter and the same size of tire I had on my Ranger 4x4 back in the day. I would have liked to have seen 31’s available, but this isn’t bad. Also keep in mind there were many 4 cylinder Jeep Wranglers that certainly wouldn’t be called powerful, yet they were competent enough 4x4s. -

Well to be fair, it is the “Bronco Sport” and not just straight “Bronco,” and the chart does say rugged utility and not serious off-roader. -

Explain exactly what it is that were you expecting? -
According to some US pilots who flew that plane regularly that I have talked to, suggested that just turning the autopilot off and flying the plane like you were trained to do resulted in no issues. The autopilot was flawed but there was nothing fundamentally wrong with the plane. Ultimately the reliance on automation and lack of experience for those pilots lead to those tragic accidents.

Perhaps, but it looks pretty badass. IMO, the base Gladiators are not very appealing, however the Rubicon and other lifted models look good. My son likes the lifted versions and I had sent him this one the other day.

Bronco Sport Completely Uncovered

After reading the last several posts, I’m not sure what people are expecting the BS to be. To me it seems like it’s competition will be the Compass, Crosstrek, etc, as previously mentioned. This isn’t meant to be a serious off-roader, it merely has to handle some light off-roading to get your mountain bikes to the trailhead. Most of that will consist of some gravel or dirt roads, and some wet grass. Frankly, just about any vehicle can handle that. Concerning price, we don’t even know what that will be yet, so it’s hard to be concerned about at this point. If they want this to be competitive with the aforementioned vehicles, then I can’t imagine they will price it out of the market. Although I don’t care for some of the details that have come to light regarding the BS, I would never choose those as options anyway, so it doesn’t really matter. However, those low end options will allow A more affordable opportunity to those trying to get in on the pseudo off-road game with a storied name badge behind it. After all, it is a company trying to sell vehicles to make money, which provides opportunities for them to build the performance vehicles that I actually like to buy. Those base models help pay for those performance options. -
That’s funny, the front is the thing I don’t like the most about this vehicle. All in the eye of the beholder, right...

I have to concur that the wheels seem kind of small, and how do you not have black wheels available in today’s day and age? I’m also not particularly happy to see the 1.5L shown as an option. Hopefully what was shown is not reflective of everything that’s available. The full picture will be available soon, so patience is a virtue I guess.

That is terrible! After some pretty good recent designs by Hyundai, this is a huge miss for me.
-
I actually recall this same complaint in 99, when Superduty first came out. I personally liked it because I’m an off-road guy, but I certainly understood it from a utility and trailering perspective.
-
Perhaps the theory was Tremor package is what is supposed to serve the higher ground clearance role, but I can’t imagine industries that regularly use 4 wheel drive would pop for that.
-
I can understand why some would need it or want it. Which would be why I would suggest that it’s an option one way or the otherI can understand why some would need it or want it. Which would be why I would suggest that it’s an option one way or the other

Raptor brake squeal with only 700 miles
tbone replied to JakeKarson's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
I haven’t had any brake issues since new, although mine is a 2017. Were your brakes upgraded to Brembos in that package? How many miles does it have? It could be a bad Caliper causing some brake drag or something. -
I don’t know how I feel about this. Perhaps they should make raising or lowering it an option.
