GM should have kept the Iron Duke in the Vegas. I had a 75 Astre with that motor and that little car would go pretty good. The diamond bore Holley 2 barrel sucked though.

FWD transmissions wont hold up to the abuse.It has nothing to do with the driver.

New sheetmetal, lots of "cool" options(rims,lights,audio etc etc), use simple drivetrains, introduce a "green" diesel engine and a hybrid DO NOT MAKE IT BIGGER!!!!

That is exactly it! Small car small profit. The big 3 handed the small car market over to the japanese gladly. The only way to make better MPG's is to make cars smaller and lighter. The big 3 do not want to touch the small car market and will go down in flames for their stupidity. Pretty soon, governments will regulate suv's and trucks nearly out of existence and ther goes any and all of their profits. Untill they see the light, they and all their workers are doomed to oblivion.
