  1. I gave the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area up long ago. It's not a vacation to me if I have to sit in traffic for an hour and a half every time I want to leave the cabin or head back.
  2. The speed is your problem! I have a 2001, with same configuration as yours. I get the same mileage (12.5) pulling my 9500lb. travel trailer at 55mph as I do unloaded at 75mph. Every since diesel went through the roof I tried slowing down to 60 and taking off a little easier. To my surprise I now get around 17 mix HWY/city, and I have gotten as high as 21 on a long interstate trip. It's REAL hard to stay under 60 with the road tractors and idiots flying by you at 80+, but maybe worth it until fuel comes down.
  3. Weeks of: Aug 4 A Crew working/B Crew off Aug 11&18 B Crew working/A Crew off Aug 25&Sept1 A Crew working/B Crew off Sep8 B Crew working I believe the letter from labor only went this far. This is only as I remember it, we don't go back til the 11th.
  4. This should give you some idea. Keep in mind that the lowest 250 or so are going to be laid off around the end of August, and 100 or so have transfered to LAP. With 1988 or so seniority it won't make a difference. KTP seniority
  5. In all 3 of your posts you have proved two things: Your negative, and you don't know shit. Trolls need not post!!!!!
  6. As of today, yes, both crews will be workking. There are rumors that we will only work 8 hours each day to avoid getting paid the extra 8 hours holiday for July 4th. As we know, things change by the minute!
  7. The letter was straight from Labor Relations, not Eskridge, get your facts straight!
  8. Letter came out tonight, both shifts in Final report back July 21st. Who knows after that?
  9. This may just be wishful thinking, but with our order bank somewhere between 30,000 and 40,000 and a total of six weeks off over the next 2 months, whose to say the order's won't be considerably higher after July. I believe that the down weeks will limit the amount of 2008 models left on dealer lots, and at the same time scare the hell out of people to get more buyouts. If they keep this pattern up it won't be long before everyone jumps ship and Ford will have plenty of room to hire $14 per hour workers.
  10. It will be almost impossible to get a "real" number. They stopped taking orders on 2008's several weeks ago. Noone knows what the 2009 orders are yet.
  11. 4-10's is a done deal, unless they change their mind at the last minute. Todd Bryant is the one with the fairy tale of running 96 jph, but we all know how his ideas uaually don't work out. As for shutdown starting the week of the 7th, every schedule I've seen for material handling has confirmed that, but we know how things change around here.
  12. No down weeks! Final will be going to 2 10 hour shifts, 4 days a week after the 3rd week of March(Mon-Thur). No word on new product. As of now, line 2 will not be shut down for any amount of time. Still talks of Paint and body, and other areas running 5 8's on 3 shifts to keep up with Final (96 jph projected). Oh yeah, and shutdown starts week of July 7th.
