  1. 420 ft /lbs. Of course they will Dodge is already into dealer upgrades for it. A cam and headers for me.

  7. Some of the Biofuels are actually beter for your engine as well as better for the environment. Ethanol for example can be made cheapley, runs cooler and is easier on parts than regular gas and is the same octane.
  8. Yea I know what you mean, but no Fords made in the last 20 years are ever going to be worth anything. I am kind of trying to get Ford on the big Boss bandwagon but i don't know if it will happen. If it did I was just going to bring it home and put it in storage for about 30 years. I wouldn't mind a build sheet.
  9. I know. Back in the day it was the Boss 302 that went up against the Camaro and the Challenger. Right now the Challenger has 425 Hp and the Camaro has 400. Ford just brought out the Moster of its line up with the GT500 and it only has 475. Now ford is thinking about bringing back the Boss with like 335 hp. I think Ford is in big trouble here. I really don't want to have to sell out Ford but it really looks bad right now. I hope someone way up in the brass is reading this forum or were screwed. We will get worked at every race we go too.
  10. Yea I think the younger guys with the passion and the older guys with the knowledge should team up and start our own car company. I bet you were around when they were building the fairlanes and the old Boss 9s. Do you believe that they are going to bring back a Boss 329, I mean where do you go from that except down. I said put a turbo on a regular mustang and save the Boss for ass kicking time. The Dodge Hemi Challenger is going to anyalate Ford. The GT 500 is already obsolete and it's not even come out yet. If you still have any connections over at Ford you should get me in and around there to smarten em up. I am not an expert but I know some history and I now what not to do.
  11. Yea I agree with you. Everyone wants more, bigger house etc but you eventually figure out that none of these things really matter in the long run. I mean with you you work at Ford and you love it. It could be alot worse. The way I see it is the way we are living now kind of reminds me of how it was in the 20's when everyone was living it up spending alot of money and then the depression came along and alot of people lost jobs and such. I think alot of people are just get greedy. I hope that with this forum we can mabee get through to some of the head guys at ford and give them some much needed input from us outsiders and possibly help those folks out there get there jobs back. Some of the idiots that are calling the shots now really have no clue what the consumers actually want and are just building cars.

The easiest and cheapest way to get what I think you are after is to go with a turbo mustang. These things are such a blast. I've seen some with over 800 HP all for about $3000. You could keep the cost down by going with a v6 or possibly a v8 of course. Try this website www.turbomustangs.com
  14. The Boss Mustang won the muscle car shootout on Dream Car Garage. That means the greatest muscle car of all time. The Boss is the pinnacle of Ford. I agree that the this car you describe would be great and a good car but I think a real Boss should be better than the GT 500 by about $5000. The smaller Boss should be less. The Boss stands for the greatest thing Ford has ever done. 302,351 and especially the 429.
  15. I think that since the Boss is as good as it is going to get, ever, and pretty much a straight race car that a 427 cammer after all these years should be optional. I would like to see some retro performance things, like the shaker, hurst shifter, drag pack, this would be very cool. Also I hope Ford doesn't over do this car, they I would be happy if they took the stock 69-70 specs and just started remaking them.

  17. I use my Ranger to haul almost anyting I would haul in an F-150. I was hesitant when I got my first one as well but it turned out to be perfectly fine for everything I needed it for. The new 4.0 SOHC is a good engine. The first ranger I had I was 4 wheeling and drove through deep water which got inside the air intake and bent valves and con rods. Then I blew the front end out of it. Smashed it up. Wrecked clutches. Ripped off mirrors, and drove into fence posts. I had BFG tires on it and loved it. Still have the truck and the body and chrome still looks good after 10 years. The new one is an FX and is a great truck with the 4 doors. I just wish that ford would put some electric mustang seats in it. The thing the Ranger really needs are seats. Perferably electric mustang seats.
  18. I really would love to see some boss 302,351,and 429s back to beat the Hemis. The only thing I like about the GT 500 is the engine. I am a Ford man but the new Challenger is more of what I want. Very good looks, good motor, good interior. I was going to buy a GT 500 but now I really don't want to. I think Ford should have an aluminum big block with a shaker, toploader trans with a hurst, 69-70s styled Boss mustang. The Shelby is for poseurs.
