  1. Oakwood is full of hair dryers. Been that way for years. Probably 6 different deck height V-8's and V-10's, Mods and Hurricanes.
  2. You know the drill, sometimes disinformation is part of the game. GM isn't dead.
  3. Interesting enough the Coyote has a 1932 Flathead firing order. 15486372 same as the Y block and 534 industrial engine. When the Bowtie crowd switch their firing order around and crow about it all they have is the FH order!!!
  4. The Coyote heads were packaged for GDI if the decision were made.
  5. So an EB Cyclone in a Taurus, F-150 or Mustang is akin to rice burner mentality?
  6. They need something above the MKS. It's too close to the Taurus. New platforms for these will help lower the cowl and look a bit more sleek. A 450 HP RWD beast is just what is needed.
  7. Just stretch some MKR skin over it and call it quits.
  8. Let's all hope Ford gets well real soon. There are plenty of irons in the fire. Maybe a bird of prey with a bad to the bone Coyote in it's maw looking for some Schnitzle.
  9. Those would not be my choices. That being said, I don't count. Somebody is wringing their hands about this FT-86 fighter plane. LOL Mid term elections are important, please vote these idiots out of office.
  10. What are you thoughts on a 3.0 I-5 EB? How about a 120° 3.0 V-6 EB for a RWD low cowl vehicle?
  11. Likely be the EB 2.0. What if Mustang had to morph into an FT-86 like car in the future. Smaller, lighter, low cowl, no V-8? OR God forbid, transverse engine mount AWD?
  12. He also offers 2X4V Holley set up's and 3X2V Holley (Tri Power) set ups. He may be experiencing some business problems at the momment. Some say he is Chapter 11. Nice stuff though. I've heard them at some Ford shows.
  13. A common V-8 architecture would be a simple solution if it were not for the times we live in. I'm sure everyone is aware of all the fuzzy science and politics that are dictating Ford's decisions. Some projects have to be planned 5 and 10 years out. Right now 2015 is real fuzzy. Back to the future for a moment. There was a fiefdom battle that happened in the early 90's. New Windsor prototypes were built, heads, induction, blocks etc. They ranged from 5.0-7.0 liters. There was also a revised 8.3 385 engine complete with GT-40 intake, roller cam etc. A real ball buster! The Modular Mafia won this battle but lost the war so to speak. In doing so we lost a common architecture in the Windsor. Would these engines be economical today? NO. Where Polling, Trotman, and Nasser dropped the ball was an all new clean sheet OHC common architecture that could have been built in 5.0-7.0 liter displacements. Some tried and all they could get approved was the Hurricane. We have a Coyote and a Hurricane for now. Lets enjoy what we have. Hell the future may bring Hydrogen and CNG with a whole set of new requirements.
  14. Then you shouldn't be using a 347 package in a stock 302. Work on the heads, manifold and camshaft.
  15. Just use the 8.7 block and your ring problem is fixed.
  16. Would a 6.2 with a 5.0 top end shut you up or stop your whinning?
  17. You do and they will..... period. You cannot grow a Coyote to 7 liters.
  18. Appears you missed the point of my post to Versa Tech.
  19. CG and IRS transaxle favor the Vette. Ray Charles could figure that one out.
  20. In case you may have forgotten, a 7 liter Hurricane (no power adder) made 800 FWHP in race trim. The 6.2 is scheduled to be in production to at least 2015.
  21. They did a 5.8 DOHC V-10 off the 4.6 Cobra. They called it Boss 351. It's still around somewhere.
  22. Your memory is dead on. You beat me to it. LOL
