  1. The difference between 5th place and next to last place is 1.05 problems per vehicle vs. 1.46 problems per vehicle. It doesn't take much to move up or down 20 or 30 slots. They really should show better than average (Porsche, Jag, Lexus. Hyundai), worse than average (Fiat) and everyone else as average. That's what it says to me.
  2. Rats - I just broke my own rule about staying on topic. I'll let RangerM reply and then we'll knock it off. Sorry.
  3. This is my issue with this argument - seeing or interacting with or selling goods or services to a gay couple does not in any way shape or form force you to violate your religious beliefs. You can only do that through your actions. Those are just convenient excuses to discriminate against folks that you don't like or don't approve of. And if you want to make that argument then you would also have to include murderers, liars, thieves, adulterers, etc. because those sins are just as bad. Do you refuse to serve divorced people?
  4. You can still define marriage as a union between 2 consenting adults. You don't have to open it up to more than 2. That's a red herring. And that's not name calling it's simply stating a fact that really isn't disputable. I should have said "some" Christians and not made it sound like all of them, but look at the facts: Passing laws that make gay marriage unlawful Passing or supporting laws that make it illegal to sell alcohol on Sunday Asking for public Christian prayers in schools and sporting events Those are all Christians forcing me to follow their religious beliefs. You don't see Mormons trying to make it illegal to sell soft drinks with caffeine. They just choose not to drink it. I want Christians to do the same thing. If you don't support gay marriage then don't marry a person of the same sex. What others do is their own business. If you don't want to buy alcohol on Sunday then don't buy it. Whether I buy it or not is my business and doesn't affect anyone else. If you want to pray you can do that on your own anytime you want 24 hours a day. It's not necessary to have someone else do it out loud.
  5. Any government rules or laws around different sex marriage such as inheritance, medical decision making, benefits and taxes are just as pertinent to same sex couples as different sex couples so there is no reason to treat them differently. Let them get married, treat them the same and move on. But the Christians just can't do that. They feel the need to force everyone else to abide by their religious beliefs and have no respect for other religions or those who have no religion.
  6. But it was a big deal last year, even though it should not have been for the reason you stated.
  7. Interesting that most of the new Ford/Lincoln reviews now say the MFT/MLT is perfectly fine compared to a year ago when it was the worst thing ever created. It's the same software and it was just as stable last year as this year. The only thing that changed on the MKC was replacing the touch controls with knobs and buttons. The media really has a herd mentality and tend to just repeat what they hear from others. With a few positive reviews I'm sure the others will fall right in line.
  8. So you don't want the Government to get involved in determining which property rights can or can't be protected, but you do want the government to enforce an arbitrary bias based on the religious beliefs of some groups?
  9. There has been zero coverage of Ford's restated mpg. I don't think anybody cares.
  10. It's perfectly comfortable, just sits about 2 inches higher than we'd like. Probably not enough to do a retrofit.
  11. I take it you haven't been following the debate on that...... No order guides. No production prototypes. No job 1 dates. Nothing. I think they'll end up keeping the current model until next spring and launch the new one as a 2016 model. Nick thinks it will show up any day now out of the blue....... (slight exaggeration)
  12. And I would bet regular cabs with short beds are < 1%.
  13. I agree. Turning down new applications is one thing. Reversing one that was already approved is entirely different.
  14. The few I've seen around here tend to be youngsters. They are sporty and of course are the cheapest versions. Supply doesn't limit the market - dealers will stock what people are willing to buy. If they're not stocking them it's because nobody is buying them.
  15. It was a huge deal for someone on another website - that was an inside joke. His assertion was basically the vehicle was worthless without them. BTW - I expect them to show up in a Black or Red label edition later this year.
  16. That was me. And it's not base pickups - it was specifically regular cab short bed models. And that's not geographic at all - almost nobody buys those any more anywhere. XL/STX supercabs and four doors yes and a few reg cab long wheelbase work trucks but hardly any reg cab SWB - which was pretty much the standard version back in the 70s and 80s.
  17. So does this mean (if the decision is not put on hold) that anyone could sell Redskin merchandise without licensing it from the Redskins or the NFL?
  18. Of course, and Ford understands that. The Flex was huge in California especially with conquest sales. But regardless of whether it can be sold in one market or 50 the overhead and investment costs are the same. I might be able to sell 25,000 Rangers in one city, but if I can only sell 5,000 in the rest of the country then my total is still only 30K regardless of where they're sold.
  19. All they're saying is the superduty prototypes under heavy camo appear to have aluminum body panels. Nothing less, nothing more.
  20. You can't count that one - the owner is a little nuts. I bet he even owns a Lincoln LS for goodness sake......
