  1. I watched it half way. I didn't want to watch it anymore. I think the video would have been better if there had been some cats in it. Even Keyboard Cat would have been welcome. Maybe a video of cats being nasty to other cats would have been enough. Cats are so often such funny animals. Edit: To be fair, I finished watching the video. It didn't get better. I still like cats.
  2. If a corporation has one of it's Presidents ranting on Facebook, wouldn't it make sense to tell him to stop? He's even making comments about Infiniti while at Cadillac. http://www.autospies.com/news/Was-Johan-de-Nysschen-Right-To-Chastise-Infiniti-Brass-For-Lack-Of-Commitment-On-Q50-Eau-Rouge-83911/ All this talk about brand image, yet IMO this isn't good for the image.
  3. Speaking of the Volt, remember this comment he made about it when he was at Audi? http://www.businessinsider.com/audi-president-calls-the-volt-a-car-for-idiots-2009-9
  4. Thank you for posting those side-by-side profile shots Edstock. I've always felt that the issue with the MKT is the massive grill. When it came out it looked like a train cow-catcher, with the refined blades it looks like a blue whale ready to catch some krill.
  5. This was actually the first thing I thought of when I saw the high-five. http://youtu.be/VlcTYVQhEhg
  6. I have a feeling this guy isn't going to be running Cadillac within two years. It's either going to be because "someone" wakes up and says "Why do we need to do this?" or he finds another opportunity elsewhere and leaves.
  7. Dud? What is likely to make it into production from the list. Not the Chevy Bolt. Remember the Chevy Tru 104S and the Chevy Code 103R concepts from 2012? No one remembers them. Yet when shown people talked as if they were sure bets to be produced. Buick concepts? Go to Google and look up Buick concept and try to find what has been produced after being a "concept" at an auto show. Maybe the name made it to production, but I think little else did.
  8. The Subaru Baja was really not attractive. It had more body side molding than any Pontiac that has ever been produced. I've never been a fan of any of their designs but the Baja really was the result of "something." I've always thought most Subarus start as a nice design only to be hit by some sort or quirky styling decision at the end which takes away any cohesiveness that was intended. The Santa Cruz isn't bad and I'm saying that because it's so much better than the Honda Ridgeline which has been on the market for years and to this day still makes me tilt my head and say to myself "What were they thinking?" That tilt in the bed from front to back is just not right.
  9. Re: Producing the Buick Avenir The feasibility for production seems to be there, but wouldn't the first objection to building such a car come from Cadillac? Isn't it a direct competitor to a large Cadillac?
  10. I don't agree either. I think one of the nicest things about it is that the design is clean. He references the Lexus RX. Go figure.
  11. Read what Peter De Lorenzo said about the blue used on Ford's performance models in this week's http://www.autoextremist.com/ column (under "Rants"). It's found in his comments about the color used on the Infiniti Q60 concept. His other comments about the Ford GT are quite good.
  12. When the original Nissan Titan came on the market, I thought it was nice looking. I know it didn't do well, but to me it looked nice and no, I'm not a truck buyer and it's likely I never will buy a truck if that means anything. That being said, I'm disappointed with the look of this new truck. I can't believe it's from Nissan. It wasn't too long ago that they were bringing some nice looking vehicles to the market. Now it seems that everything they design is just weird.
  13. Not sure why they used "Pace" as a name considering Mini has the Paceman and everyone's favorite fishbowl on wheels was called the Pacer.
  14. PMD's opinion.... http://www.autoextremist.com/on-the-table1/
  15. It's nice. It would be great if that trunk at the back was actually a hatch (incorporated with the rear window).
  16. Cadillac is making great cars and some of them are nice looking. The automotive press also likes them. There are consistent positive comments about them. Personally, I like the SRX and the ATS. Are they selling the way that GM thinks they should? No. Are they selling the way that GM says they will? No. Are they selling the way that GM sales figures plan for? No. So what is the problem here? it's not that Lincoln sells less cars. It's not that Lincoln doesn't have a RWD car. It's not that there are people who think Lincoln and Cadillac do not compete in the same market segment.
  17. I wonder if someone from Ford of Canada has been spoken to for this coming online too early.
  18. NIce! I like the LED headlights and the front camera hidden behind the Lincoln emblem is kind of cool.
  19. While it sounds interesting, the first question that comes to mind is "Will there be Chevy Bolt dancers?"
  20. Based on what Richard has said, I'm more inclined to think something is going to happen next week. I also read somewhere that Ford is holding a press conference off site from the show related to their new performance models.
