  1. At this point I'd vote no even if it had a RAISE in it! I just don't trust the bastards. JUST SAY NO.
  2. Would you have felt better if he had said "free thinkers" that don't follow the party line? Oh. If serious minds read, and the two biggest liberal newspapers in the country are in trouble, what does that say about the liberal mind?
  3. Learn to spell, so you don't embarrass yourself!
  4. Oh, please don't misunderstand, I am sure you did see them for 20k. I have seen milled receiver Russian versions as high as 25k, and the dealer looked me straight in the eye and never blinked. And it was well worn too.
  5. I have seen them as cheap as 13K, which is still too rich for my blood, not to mention they run through a LOT of ammo. Oh, the $200 tax stamp fee is paid only once, not every year.
  6. OK, so would you not call Vietnam a war either then? Remember we didn't decalre war there either. If not, I am sure there are tens of thousands of veterans who'd beg to differ with you. But I digress. I won't get into a debate with you about what does or does not constitute a "war". We'll just agree to disagree, we're each entitled to our opinions.
  7. You're allowed your opinion. And I am ok that it differs from mine. Wanna see a pack of lies? Watch Al Gore's movie. LOL! "I did NOT have sex with that young woman!" and "It depends on what your definition of 'is' is." Used to turn my stomach...I got over it. Until I see him on TV. I guess you're forgetting Bosnia then. What a fiasco that was. I will grant you that it didn't last as long as operation Iraqi Freedom though. Only three years.
  8. Funny....the first thing I thought of when I read this quote was Bill Clinton.
  9. August 4th for day shift, August 11th for night shift...however we will be working day shift hours. That's what it said on the last handout I received.
  10. I don't see ANY fuel prices dropping anytime in the near future.
  11. J-150 - I ain't saying buy Chrysler out lock stock and barrell, I'd just like to see Ford take over Jeep is all. No, you're right, there is no SUV explosion, but there'll ALWAYS be buyers for Wranglers! 2 or 4 door models. CSMJ - I agree with you wholeheartedly, I'd buy one in a minute too. And so would many others, IF the company didn't "Re-engineer" the damned thing to death....."We need to make it more like a FORD!" which would ruin it. F250 - Again, I am not saying buy out Chrysler altogether (which Ford won't do anyway) I'd simply like to see us pick up the JEEP part of that company. (which we won't either.......just dreaming)
  12. Ford already had the chance to buy Jeep when AMC was going down the toilet back in the mid-late eighties.....they didn't buy it because it would compete with the Bronco. AMC offered it to Ford before they offered it to Chrysler I was told. Stupid move? Decide for yourself. Jeep....Simply the name takes us back to the Rats of Tobruk, the Battle of the Bulge, Patton's Charge, and the tens of thousands of muddied, bloodied and dying Americans they hauled back and forth between battlefields and field hospitals. Is that reaching a little? Then tell me, do you get the same feeling when you cruise around in your Explorer?....."Only in a Jeep" If Ford does nothing else, and Chrysler goes down the crapper.....Ford should at least take Jeep. Ford was used as a second source by the Govt. during WWII because Willys couldn't build them fast enough! We built right at 227,000. It's part of our company's history, we shouldn't be allowed to let it die. One last thing before you flame me...and I KNOW you're going to. I own two Fords and NO Jeeps...right now. I have owned several in the past and will own more in the future I am sure. Jeeps are like Harleys...they get in your blood.
  13. I am praying John Edwards gets the nod. I hate Hilary with a passion, and Obama sounds too much like Osama. After all, he WAS a muslim, only changed to "christian" because he knew being Muslim wouldn't be conducive to his political career. On the Republican side, the only candidate I like is Fred Thompson, and I don't think he'll even come close to getting the nod.
