  1. It says "twin tubo charger" at about 0:38. Get some spell checkers Ford. I don't want to open any hoods and find a "tubocharged" badge.
  2. Good riddance to bad rubbish. What a sell out that was just to push more SUVs. And who would have ever thought of a Porsche as lumbering before the Cayenne? The Panamera was an interesting experiment I thought.
  3. At first I couldn't tell it was a 2010, it looked like a leftover '09. The paint scheme really hides to powerdome that makes a 2010 jump out to me. From that angle and with the stripes you'd have to have a trained eye to tell it apart from the '09.

    2011 Ranger

I'm a Ford fan and as long as money from a global company is going to its American headquarters where there are still plenty of engineers working in America, I'm fine. Screw UAW and their inflated sense of self-worth. If you want a job realize you're making a pretty damn good living bolting in a few parts or lifting a piece of sheet metal for $18/hour.
  5. I just hope they don't cut too much weight and have the whiners talking about chassis flex. Weight increase is inevitable in any next generation model especially one gaining IRS, but hopefully it'll stay under 3500. Maybe they need to make a more drastic cut in wheelbase and length and get the vehicle smaller. They talked about the new '10 style making the vehicle smaller, perhaps that's to warm us up for when the vehicle shrinks?
  6. 27 combined MPG sounds like a good deal to me. Are they throwing a six speed automatic behind that?
  7. That might be asking a little much. I guess enjoy the S197 while we can, because the Mustang's going to get HEAVY when they change over to GRWD platform in '15, but the good news is that the Camaro and Challenger won't be around then. LOL
  8. As long as I'll be able to get an affordable (under $25K) mustang with ~300HP V6 and sub 5.5 second 0-60 performance in a few years I'll be happy
  9. That's good news, The DI 3.0 makes the same horsepower as the previous non DI 3.6 iirc and fuel economy should improve drastically. I agree with you. Chevy Commodore has a nice ring to it, but doesn't it carry the Chevy Lumina Badge in S. Africa and the Middle East?
  10. I still believe that an SVO should be a four-pot
  11. People won't go in droves to a Pontiac dealership, but they would sure go through the doors of a Chevy dealership. While they're looking at a Malibu, a G8/Caprice/Impala (whatever they call it) catches dad's eye. They need to put in the DI V6 (Camaro's already got it) and *poof* family sedan with performance roots. It will appeal to buyers who can't afford a Cadillac CTS.
  12. Regarding the argument about GTs needing V8s, they do, but there's no reason you couldn't call a 3.5 EB Mustang an LX is there? Or do LXs need to have V8s too? LX was a value GT so maybe it's not a good option Ideas?
  13. Will the turbo four lower the base price any, I wonder? I'd love to lease one if I end up moving down there like I hope to do.

My next vehicle will be a ranger if it gets a turbo four.

    2012 Focus

Is this a world Focus, or specific to NA?
  16. What are you averaging MPG wise? I averaged 28.4 my first tank and got my Blue SES July 30th. Fun cars and more pep than I expected. I'll miss the low end torque of my Crown Vic though.
  17. My 2003 LX Sport with 3.27s got 19 mpg mostly and the best I ever got was 22 mpg. I did tend to flog it a bit though. My new Focus (which I got after the insurance company bought my totaled CV) gets alot better mileage but isn't nearly as fun to drive.
  18. Handling is much better. I don't know if you've ever driven in a Crown Victoria, but body roll is bad. Having a shorter hood is really nice too. I just was pulling out of the grocery store parking lot and thinking how much easier it was to get out of a parking space.
  19. My Crown Victoria was hailed on in late June, so I collected from the insurance agency, turned in my '94 Ranger for C4C and got an '09 Focus SES. I'll miss the power of the Crown Vic, but so far I'm really impressed by Sync and I'll like the fuel economy.
  20. Hey Aussies, I'm in school right now, but I'm thinking about working down there for a year or two in the not too distant future. What are current lease deals on an FPV Falcon?
  21. The 3.7 is coming out for 2011 per speculation, but is the 4.6 going to be around then or by that time will the Coyote be in? From what I'm seeing on these forums, it's supposed to be 3.7L and 5.0L engines for 2011, right?
  22. Sounds like he really, really wants me to come onto the lot.
  23. I won't be. I'm buying it back from the insurance company, but the dealer assures me that they can pay me salvage for it which is approximately $2200. On top of that, it'll qualify for CARS.
