  1. Isnt the Edge a bit large by European standards?
  2. I cant believe they are actually going through with this. IMO they would have been better off updating the interior of the current line than doing this. I cant remember ever seeing a more vanilla new vehicle. Maybe its just me, but does anyone out there really like this??
  3. I already did the sales survey, I agree some of the questions were totally off.
  4. Why would Ford want to start yet another badge name, They already own Volvo and Jag. I dont see a point in resurecting Rover.
  5. They are not Toyotas Ford makes them.
  6. I was just wondering if she was telling the truth saying if they didn't get all top marks it was a failure, or if she was just trying to get me to mark all top marks so it looked better for them. I haven't received the actual questionnaire yet so I don't know what the actual questions will be
  7. I took my new Fusion in for its first oil change and rec'd a follow up call from the dealership. The girl from the dealership made a point to remind ( a couple of times) to be sure I checked that I was Totally satisfied. She said anything less than that would result in a failing grade. Now, I don't have a problem with the way the car was serviced, but it was not exceptional either. So I am asking , is this true? I mean I wouldn't want them to fail, because like I said, it was fine. But there were a couple of small things they could improve on and if everyone gives them the highest marks, then they aren't getting any feedback on what they could do to improve. So, was she trying to pad their customer service numbers or is their validity to what she is saying Thanks
  8. Its a slippery slope that Cerberus should not take lightly. I do not know the status of the Teamsters alliance with the UAW but if labor union leaders in general think or get the idea that this is the beginning of the end of all unions, there could be bigger consequences than just Chrysler, or the US auto industry. If the Teamsters decide to side with the UAW, what then? How about the Long Shoremans union? The entire economy could come to a screeching halt pretty quickly.
  9. Wheres MeeLan when you need him! He's got a 2.3 / AT Milan, I figured he would be all over this thread
  10. Jellymolds, you keep posting why the Fiat is "Practical" no one said it wasn't practical. But practicality has nothing to do with "Sexy" or Beauty. An ox is infinitely more "practical" than a thoroughbred, but it certainly isnt as beautiful. The day we start judging beauty by how practical something is, is the day Ferrari goes out of business.
  11. I don't know, if the rumors around adding the 3.5 to the Milan for 08 are to be believed, it would see kind of anti productive to shore up a model you are trying to phase out. I'll believe Merc is dead when I hear something more official than an off hand post on a forum.
  12. The Accord driver crossed over into the oncomming lane and hit the F350 head on. The driver making the left turn was completely stopped. Whether the Accord driver wasnt paying attention to a stopped car or was trying to pass the story doesnt say. But the driver making the turn was not at fault. He was simply making a left turn off of a 2 lane road.
  13. I dont think there are that many people thaat even know what a Festiva is/was.
  14. No, I don't. At least I don't think something is sexy just because its small. A Volkswagen Beetle is small, its not sexy. This Fiat is kind of like the little fat chick from the Dixie Chicks, Kind of cute , in a fat chick sort of way, But if Cindy Crawford was standing next to her, you wouldn't even notice the chubby girl. Same with the Jag and the Fiat. Park one next to the other and ask 100 SANE people, which one is sexy. And there's no contest. Why Top Gear readers think this thing is Sexy, Sorry, I don't know, the same way I don't know why some people eat those baby duck things that are still in the egg, or Haggis, or brains or whatever gross thing you can think of. There is no accounting for taste.
  15. So that adds to what, like 20 extra cents per vehicle? I think they factored that into the extra 3K the package costs over an XLT they can afford it
  16. I doubt either side is putting up any money, its more likely to be a shared licensing arrangement. According to EB website its an agreement dating back to 1983. How time flies
  17. Ok, can you admit that Ford has acknowledged this issue and has taken steps to address it? Posting and reposting about the same issue isnt going to make them acknowledge again what they have already acknowledged.
  18. I guess it depends on whose name you think adds to the item its being advertised on. If you were EB you probably think adding your name to a Explorer adds cache to the explorer. It doesn't do much for your name. It's not like someone drives past an EB store and says, "Hey that's the same as on my Explorer, I think I'll go inside" The same for the Harley pickups. Do you think Harley pays Ford to put their name on Ford trucks. I think the Harley name has helped Ford sell more trucks than the Ford F series has helped Harley sell Road Kings
  19. I thought it worked the other way around? (Ford pays EB?)
  20. I see where you edited your post, so my reply didnt make sense so I am removing it
  21. You are probably right, I just remember reading that one poster that is getting like 13 MPG in around town driving in his MKZ and I definately couldent handle that. But, like I said, its all hear-say (is that the right word?)
  22. I really like the King Ranch trucks, but I think it might come off a little silly to have a King Ranch Escape
  23. Bruno If mileage is important to you, check the numbers. Although I have no first hand knowledge, there are some posts on the forum that lead me to believe the 3.5 AWD gets significantly less MPG than the 3.0 AWD. And the AWD in general seems to be quite a bit more thirsty than the FWD, Like I said, I dont know first hand, just my impression from reading some of the posts
