Does the weird chrome spear into the fender grow on you after time? Ive seen a few on the road and I think its a great looking car, but that chrome spear just looks like a cheap pep boys add on to me. Other than that I think it looks great.

all i could find was the curb weight of a 2010 regular cab. it was a tick over 4700lbs. less than i thought to be honest.

I'm guessing the 23-25mpg figure will be on a 2wd truck. What's a supercab F150 weigh? I also imagine gearing will play a huge part as well.

Call it an F100 if they must... but leave the Ranger name for a top end model or something. "F100 Ranger" sounds good to me. That's how the Ranger started after all/

cool to hear that they are available. I want to rent one and see how much faster it is than my 94 GT lol. Those SVT Contours really did have a great exhaust note for a V6. Its HARD to have a nice sounding V6. I always give a friend that is into Turbo Buicks crap about the way his cars sound. Sure they are faster than anything ive owned, (including one of his cars being the quickest car ive ever ridden it.. yikes-fast) but they SOUND like a garbage disposal unit choking on a work boot.

Fords have had orange peel forever. Hell my 04 Ranger had some HUGE dry spots on the back of the cab around the rear glass. My 09 Ranger had a big RUN on the header panel under the driver side headlamp lol. (it was changed out when i got into an accident late last year sooo.... fixed!) GM and Chrysler also have terrible orange peel on most of their cars from the factory. IMO BMW has some of the best looking OEM paint finishes that aren't hand applied. (Aston Martin finishes are gorgeous up close, but they are colorsanded and polished before they leave the plant) Mercedes finishes can be good, but some of the cars with the powdercoated clear have clearcoat that has more texture than the surface of the moon.

For one, I am glad that NUMMI employees will probably be put to good use here. However, I am disappointed in Tesla. I live in Norwalk, CA. Downey CA borders us on the north and I was waiting with some excitement for Telsa to open up their Model S factory there. Now, they pulled out and left so we wont get the jobs in the area anymore. It would have been a nice boost to Downey and the neighboring communities.

Budget? Spray is usually cheaper than a nice set of headers. Of course, when the bottle is empty you better head home.

I've rented a Flex from National.... and so have several co workers. They are in the rental fleets too.

The SN95 Mustang convertibles had a 25lb weight attached to the body for the same reason. I believe Fox and SN95s also had the dogbone attached to the rear axle to quell vibration or some other NVH reason. That however was minor in that it only weighed 7lbs or so.

the car sounds friggin great. It is a bit weird though. I've gotten so used to the 5.0L OHV and the 4.6L over the years that I will just have to get used to hearing the new 5.0L's exhaust. Its beautiful sounding.... but different.

Wasn't it the Funkmaster Flex edition? Was that just a concept or did it actually exist?
