  1. I remember how the Japanese cars were laughed at in the 70's.
  2. I didn't realize that we had that many. Lol!
  3. Well, we all know what a bear does in the woods.
  4. What hurts even more is that 104 brothers and sisters got laid off today!
  5. No, he heard it from the voices in my head! Does he speak Greek?
  6. That's strange, seeming the vote was at the Convention Centre. What was happening at Copps?
  7. Oh Gawd! Now you went and dunnit! Now we gotta hear why it's better that he stays and works instead of leaving and taking his pension.
  8. As the title says, I just picked up my new 4x4 F150 and I love it! It's a silver XLT supercab w/ 6.5' box. I've received a lot of compliments on it. It rides smooth and quiet, much better than I was expecting. As for gas milage, I took the 5.4L 3V engine and I am finding that it does as good if not better than the Ranger with the 3.0L that I used to have! The interior fit and finish is great. Job well done brothers and sisters, job well done! GreyPony
  9. In six feet of snow! :tease:
  10. Really? Well, tell you what Mr.Fujisaki, when we can start selling vehicles in Japan, we'll talk. K?
  11. Not trying to stir the pot here, "even if I usually do" but, in comparaison, wouldn't everybody be better off with an E150 with benches than a minivan? It is BOF and not Unibody. It has rear wheel drive. It has more space than you can shake a stick at. Like the Panther, you will get a shitload of miles out of it. What about cell phones? Remember the brick that Motorolla used to sell? Why don't they sell those anymore? The reception was great. Okay, you couldn't use it near Gramps with his pacemaker, big deal! It was solid as a rock. McGyver could probably jump start a '74 LTD with the battery in that puppy! A while back I was at my dealer with my son looking at F150's. There was ONE Grand Marquis in the yard gathering dust, I looked at him and said "How about this one?". That is when I got the look and he replied, "You're not a old grampa yet dad!". That stigma is stuck on the vehicle, and Ford knows it. Ford will continue to sell it as long as it will make a profit. I am sure that the powers that be know what the majority of buyers want and that the investment is not worth it to try and keep the vehicle alive. Ford is going to a new image, one of the 21st century and in general, it seems to be working. Anybody remember the Simpsons when Homer designed a new car? Maybe it's time to let the old lady go and slip into the deep.
  12. Funny you ask that. Yesterday a buddy of mine took a snap shot with his phone of one on a transport, asking me what vehicle this was.
  13. Wow! He has a secret identity! We have our own superhero! Does he fly? Does he have a mask? Does he have a cape? A Superhero has to have a cape.
  14. Let's see, Taurus, that's going to Chicago. The Explorer, that's going to Chicago too. And Chicago has the capacity to do it.
  15. Exactly! How do you think the imports learned how to copy and/or improve on what we sell? Not just with cars, with everything. The Chinese are doing it right now, it's called reverse engineering. At least Mr. M. isn't just sitting back and sleeping in board meetings.
  16. Congratulations! I know that you will enjoy driving it more and more every time. And, thank you!
  17. Congratulations! I hope that you enjoy your Flex as much as we do! As for the people not knowing what the vehicle is, a lot of people don't pay attention to car advertisements. But, as I have said before, as you see more Flexs out there, even more will sell. It's a snowball effect. BTW, for all you southerners, that would be that white fluffy cold stuff that falls from the sky. Have fun driving!
  18. So, has any one purchased a Flex lately? I would enjoy hearing what you think about it.
  19. It seems that either you like it or don't, no in between. But, like all things, you will get a customed to it. Cars used to be round, then they went very square, then round again and now square again? Who knows? Maybe the shape of the Flex is the thing of the futur? Only time will tell. As for the interior, we get nothing but compliments.
  20. Probably because most people don't drive 60 mph in reverse?
  21. Let's see. Tell you what, the next time you see one of those "dual exhausts" take a mirror and look underneath the vehicle. Most probably you will notice that the dual exhaust is only dual from the rear suspension on, just like the Edge. I can tell you that the Lincoln will have a TRUE dual exhaust because there are two exhaust pipes that run from the engine all the way to the rear. The fact that you see two exhaust ports sticking out from under the rear fascia means little.
  22. Today I pulled into a parking lot and there was an empty spot, right beside another Flex. When I came out I saw the owner and said "Nice Flex!" and then got into mine. Right away she rolled down her window and asked if I loved mine as much as she loved hers. I said yes and thank you, because I take part in building them. I then found out that her husband was a manager at a dealer and she told me that more and more people are taking an interest in the vehicule.
  23. We had a couple of Flexes go down the line with EcoBoost but I don't think they'll sell them right away. What would be the use of getting a Lincoln if you can get the same engine in a Flex? As for the dual exhaust, I believe that only the Lincoln will have a "true" dual exhaust with the EB. We will start the PP1 builds soon.
  24. Did anyone see the 2010 Mustang in camo parked outside of the plant today?
  25. The EcoBoost will probably be late 2010MY. As for the color changes, dunno. The slider door, won't happen any time soon. :stats:
