Ford is in a unique position right now... if they put the same synergy into the next gen Ranger that they did in the Bronco, they have the opportunity to establish it as another long term market leader along with Bronco and F-Series. Ranger is already doing well as a quick transplant, but it could handily blow the competition away if it incorporates many of the features and inovations from the Bronco and new F150. If they play their cards right, I can see the need for an additional plant or dedicated Bronco and Ranger plants in the future.

It's sharing plant capacity with the increasingly popular Ranger... even if the actual reservation to order conversions are less than production capacity, they will easily make that up with dealer stock orders. They could also get more order conversions than they can produce with carryovers to the 2022 MY... either way it should be a huge success by anyones standards! When the next gen Ranger arives, they may even be needing another plant!

Auto air refresh will sample air quality and circulate air through a new two stage combi filter (with carbon layer) when required. Auto heated/ventilated seats will activate them along with the auto HVAC settings, instead of having to turn them on/off manually every time. You can still override them manually.

I thought that too, but it looks like it will be standard on the higher end 2021 F150s... starting with King Ranch.

Froggie, did they give you a copy of your order and receipt for your deposit? If you have an order number you could try calling the Lincoln Concierge service and ask them for the status of your order. It's easier for them to find an order with a VIN, but I believe they can also look it up by dealer name and order number. Hope it's legit and you get your GT!

I've been to tropical areas like Panama for work over the years and was perscribed it every time for malaria. People of all ages take it regularly down there so I never understood how all of a sudden it wasn't safe any more...

Froggie, I'm pretty sure the last day to order a 2020 Aviator was April 30th. If you ordered on May 20th are you getting a 2021 model?

My dealer was great and honored xplan even though allocation is extremely limited, but some other dealers in the area weren't allowing xplan. Even after an eight month wait I was surprised when they said mine was still their first GT to come in. Their first stock GT was a Black Label that arrived around a month after mine. They sold that one and now have a standard GT in stock.

Personally, I would never let my car idle that long for any reason... but especially if unattended or with kids/pets inside.

^^^Yep, just another failed attempt at sarcasm. Bronco looks lighyears ahead of Wrangler... at least until Jeep drops a Hemi in it, lol!

That's a really good deal. In my region the Grand Touring PHEV has always been excluded from all incentives except 0% for 36 months. Plus some dealers are also excluding xplan.

And Jay Leno will get the 4th one...

Concur with fuzzymoomoo, I would guess that after subtracting the 7000 First Eddition models from the total production capability, the number of other trims produced the first model year would just be based on whatever trims have reservations that convert to actual orders.

The GT is our first step up from Ford to Lincoln, so saying it's the most luxurious car we've ever owned doesn't do it justice. But we've checked out the other high end brands at car shows and have ridden in quite a few that friends have... and IMO the Aviator is hands down the best of the best in it's class. It looks far better from any angle outside and it's pure relaxed luxury inside with amazing looks, textures and functions... and ours isn't even a Black Label. The combination of Blue Diamond exterior, Medium Slate interior, and GT wheels is just stunning. We haven't been on a long trip in it yet but for our daily driving it gets over 80 mpg when starting out with a full charge, plus it has more punch than my 03 Mach 1. Now back to the Bronco... had I known how awesome it would be before ordering the Aviator it would have been a battle of the spouses on which one to get... so I still wouldn't be getting a Bronco, lol. Sure would be nice to have both!!!

I'm waiting for a second edition cause I can't afford any edition right now after buying the Aviator?... never thought I would be second guessing that decision so soon!

The whole process is quite a bit longer than that... it really starts after your dealer has allocation and Lincoln (Ford) pulls and schedules your order. That's when a VIN is assigned. Then there are periods of time between scheduled, submitted to plant, produced, released, shipped, etc. Plus how long its in transit varies depending on where you live and how long it gets held at various rail yards/ramps along the way. Got mine in a blistering eight months after ordering it, lol. But I ordered in July and the GTs didn't go into production until December, plus I believe all of the first runs like mine went through extra QC checks. The only GT my dealer still has was ordered on Feb 22, produced on June 19, and delivered on June 30. That timeframe includes the virus shutdown, so one ordered in May should be even quicker. But how quickly you get a VIN that actually starts the process depends on what allocation your dealer has for GTs. My retail order still came in a month before my dealers first stock order, even though they placed their order two months before mine. I believe they've only received two or three stock orders so far, so allocation must be pretty tight.

Very rarely is the term Game Changer given to someting that really and truely changes its game. But IMO the new Bronco models look like they're not only going to permantly change the game, but completely rewrite the rules!!! The Jeep boys will be losing sleep tonight trying to figure out how to shove TWO Hemi's in the Wrangler now, lol.
