  1. Was told it is on a train somewhere. 1FT7X2AT2FEA49792 Thanks
  2. I'm willing to bet this is the exhaust smell coming in from the rear vents and not a gasoline issue. Lawsuits have finally started down in Florida.. seems they picked up the story but don't have all the facts. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=410119 1,200 posts, 200,000+ views http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=323597
  3. It's at a point for me that it just isn't news anymore.. It's just every day life with GM. If you are expecting it, it is no surprise. The more they continue to do it, the less of a negative impact it will have to the average person's perception of GM IMO. My perception of them can't get any worse lol. The new CEO is cleaning house and addressing all the issues no matter how small it seems which is a great thing. Just a shame that it has to be so many issues.
  4. This will be one hot little hatch if true. http://ca.autoblog.com/2014/06/19/2016-ford-focus-rs-spy-shots/
  5. It finally showed up. Thanks for tracking it!!
  6. Seems to be 3.4 million now. https://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/gm-recalls-3-4-million-impalas--regals-and-others-for-yet-more-key-troubles-204437489.html
  7. Also to add to the recalls updates.. http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/international/business/4-months-into-general-motors-recall-only-7-of-cars-fixed/articleshow/36677450.cms
  8. Not a lot of information yet.. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/gm-announces-ignition-switch-recall-32-million-vehicles/story?id=24164074 Every website thus far only has this info stating that more info will be coming.
  9. Bumping for tomorrow. Thanks!! 1FT8W3BTXFEA30029
  10. Then he is trying to take credit for something he didn't do OR hacked the Ford website. As I said, I went onto Ford.com to check it out before I posted as I didn't want to post about something fake. When I was on the Ford site and selected the mustang, it brought me to the 2014 model and couldn't figure out how to get to the 2015 site. So I googled "2015 Ford mustang" and then clicked on this "http://www.ford.com/cars/mustang/2015/?searchid=79341629%7C%7C25486804491&ef_id=UyD0bAAAAV0yHjuf:20140615144249:s" It was right there on their website, first picture of the 5. I then right clicked to try and save the picture but it would only allow me to save the page (must be the webpage format they use as I usually can right click and save picture). So instead of saving the page or taking a screen shot, I just used the jpeg in the comments section of the article. Whether you choose to believe me or not is up to you. I have no reason to lie or make this crap up. You can also see that it is the exact same size, font and style as the graphics up there now. I would think it would be a little off if someone photoshopped it in trying to find the exact same writing Ford uses (maybe not).
  11. That is probably why it was taken down in a matter of a few hours. Funny as hell but I agree, not a smart move with the issues Ford just announced.
  12. No it is not. It was on the main Ford page for the 2015 Mustang. I verified before I posted that it was indeed on there. I thought the same thing at first. There were 5 inages scrolling and this was the 1st of 5. Seems Ford has changed it as I just checked the website again and it is different.
  13. Incase you didn't read the comments of that article... Ford is on top of the news alright lol.
  14. Cyberdman, if this is breaking the rules then I apologize and you can ignore this thread. Trying to get my brother in laws truck tracked.. he was told it was supposed to be there on 6/1 and still nothing. If you can look it up, I'd greatly appreciate it. If not, no worries, I understand that I'm not him. Thanks 1FT7X2AT2FEA49792
  15. Another update please. 1FT8W3BTXFEA30029 Thanks
  16. Larry, as of the latest that I heard a few days ago, they have almost 20,000 trucks waiting to ship out. I know it is frustrating but it makes sense on why it is happening whether one likes it or not. Ford started production on 3/13 and the "ok to ship" wasn't given for over a month after. Then on top of that Ford, had to repair many of the trucks up until roughly April 25th because of the issues that Ford was having during the builds. Once the "ok to ship" was given, trucks started moving but with 6 weeks worth of production sitting on lots (Ford was even renting space all through Louisville to store the trucks), the shipping companies can't keep up. Ford is not going to slow production which means it will take a while for trucks to ship out. There was a train shortage for one, add to that Ford is producing more then the delivery companies can ship, it's going to take time. Again, I know it is frustrating for people to be waiting on their trucks, but that's what is going on right now and I don't see it getting any better for a while. I've seen delivery times in the 4-6 week time frame from time of production.
  17. My point is that Ford did not do this willingly as a good faith to their customers. For 3 years they've been saying it's not a problem, such a low failure rate and charging customers for these repairs when they were outside of their 3yr/36k. Now because the NHTSA drove it and had a discussion with them, they are now willing to acknowledge it is a problem despite all their documents/responses saying that it isn't a safety issue since we can still steer it manually. My point is, I'm not giving Ford credit for this whatsoever as it wasn't their original decision to do it. We've gone completely off topic from the original post so I'll let this die and leave it at that.
  18. Not trying to start a pissing match about this and it may be going off topic now but going to explain my rational. It's hard to understand because if you have been or had followed the major investigation by the NHTSA that is still ongoing with the failing Power Steering system you'd see what Ford was deeming was wrong with the system. NHTSA has 302 complaints from 2011 to current about this issue so far ranging from parking lot speeds all the way up to 70mph on the highway. The three issues Ford found was: 1) Circuit boards were tilted 3 degrees too much causing the conformal coating to run away and collect. 2) Ribbon cable misalignment. 3) Broken end of cable may get pushed out other side making poor contact. This was as of 2011 and none of the issues found were SOFTWARE related. http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/cs/jaxrs/download/doc/UCM425907/INRL-PE12017-52566.pdf And yet it continued and continued to happen with customers having to pay close to $2,000 for a replacement rack. Ford claims 5.5 out of 1,000 failure rate. How is an electrical issue a software issue?? Also, in the article it states that Ford disabled the PS for the NHTSA in April so they could see the effort it took to steer and after that, they had "talks" and pressure was applied to do a field action or recall. It was only once the NHTSA got a feel for how the Explorer reacted that Ford decided to do this. Three years of being ignored.. Don't go defending them as if they are being proactive about it. If you want to read the 38 pages worth of comments and complaints, have at it. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=320445
  19. In fairness, Ford hasn't been covering this up but they've been ignoring the power steering issues with these Explorer's since 2011. The fact that they say it isn't/wasn't a safety issue because you are still able to manually steer the vehicle is a bunch of BS. Yes you can steer but it takes a REDICULOUS amount of effort and when the PS fails, there is no warning. As soon as it says on the dash it has failed, it has failed. Not only that, they claim if you don't have any failures, a reflash fixes the problem. If a reflash fixed the problem, then no steering rack should have to be replaced even if it gives codes. It makes no sense what Ford is claiming. Anyways, I can't give Ford credit for this.. they are doing it because GM is in the news and it's easier to slip it in now.
  20. Although I know the recall process is mostly automated, you'd think that GM would be very cautious in regards to who they are sending them out to since they are all over the news right now. Considering there is only 13 deaths for this particular recall, how can they not make sure that this is handled properly. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/gm-apologizes-recall-notices-victims-families-032025856.html
  21. Did you see the date on article? It is old news, been discussed on here.
  22. Hi Cyberdman. I was told it is on a train some where. Would love to know where and a possible eta? Thanks so much 1FT8W3BTXFEA30029
  23. I think trucks will start right around that date if not within a week or two from there. I know of one dealer who will be getting them in July but he is usually the first to get everything. I'd think you'd be looking at a mid to late August time frame as long as Ford can catch up on all the backlog of trucks that are waiting to be delivered. If they can't catch up, expect 4 weeks for delivery once built.
