Yes, but in this case, Fiesta has been established for some time now in Europe, thus the Fiesta name sticks for the world. And I agree with that.....that the product should have one name globally.
I'm still curious as to what will happen with the Fusion and Mondeo names once their product lines are merged. In that case, I think it'd be best to have separate names. Ford switching names on another product wouldn't go over too well in the US, IMO.....along with the fact that Fusion is a competative entry and will only be more competitive w/ its MCE coming up......it would make people think Ford has failed again, so they're starting over. Toyota didn't kill the Camry and Corolla badges when nobody bought them decades ago, and look at where they are today.
