  1. Yes from the outside, if you run a business card between the door and the weather-strip with the door shut anywhere it slides through without much pressure is a sign that it is not sealed properly and could be the cause of the minor wind noise you are describing.
  2. Wish I could figure out the quote feature /sigh But anyway, what wildosvt said, also take a business card with the door shut run it in that area you think the noise is coming from; if it slides through between the door and the weather strip could be that the door is tweaked out along that curve and would need a slight fit adjustment.
  3. RangerM, let me ask you a question...Super Cab or crew cab? if you own a Super cab check the weather strip at the top were the front and rear doors come together, at that point of contact (both doors meet when shut) feel the rubber weather strip, you should feel it soft around that area but at the point of contact (were both doors come together) you should feel about a 2 inch hard spot. That is called the tootsie roll, if that is not centered were both the front and rear doors come together either you or have your dealer adjust the weather strip so that spot is dead center were both doors come together. If you don't own a Super cab or that does not help have your dealer check the door fit, sometimes the doors can be brought in a bit to ensure a tighter fit between the doors and the weather strip. Or have the dealer check to see if the front door is outboard a little to the fender that can cause wind noise, your front door should be .5mm under flush to the fender, your rear door should be flush or (max) .5mm under flush to the front door. I hope that helps.
  4. CAP and any others get the call about this week too?
  5. I did not pay attention to the shifter much when looking at these, but my guess they are showing off interior of the higher end models. Currently the higher end models have the center console with the shifter in it, in a more work related trim package I am sure there will be a column mounted shifter just as currently optional dependent on the trim package and front seat package you purchase.
  6. That 2.7 in a Regular cab should get great MPG, I am curious to see what the official MPG rating is going to be. Having seen this truck in person a few times I can say traditional F-150 buyers will not be disappointed, no spot welds period will be something that traditional body people will take some getting use to I think but the weight savings are undeniable.
  7. To was 898, both Nick and Burkie care about C-crew. You are correct C-crew usually gets shorted on vacation and such due to our schedules, however in 5 years that DTP has ran an AWS there has never been a C-crew super day; until the end of 2013. That was directly due to both Chairman (at the time Byrd and Nick) having the committeemen and bargaining reps write OT spread grievances. If you recall C-crew for the first time was given the option to work two holiday's (which included double time and holiday conversion option), this was done in an effort to equalize overtime. Obviously with C-crews schedule it is hard to add a day to the week so that shift is able to get OT for production (im not talking about classified jobs), if you are talking about regular overtime grievances then that needs to be handled through your district and if they refuse then take it up the chain of command. Darryl from what I hear does his job and its good to see him get the support from you that's how it should be, those already in office have had 2 and one-half years to prove their dedication to the membership. SU-FI this post is about DTP elections not local elections, while I can agree some get lazy at all levels there are others that are in office at every level that do as much as possible. Elected jobs are not as easy as some may think, imagine being the ones expected to fix everyone's problems (right or wrong) I respect anyone that has put an honest effort into any elected position. That does not mean all that put in an honest effort are the best suited for the jobs, however I would rather have someone in office that is at least trying rather someone that is just a turd and does not give a shit either way, at least if you know someone is actually trying they will eventually build the relationships and the experience to make things happen.
  8. I guess if you have not; cashed any of the Profit Sharing checks since 2012, cashed any of the 1,500 June Inflation bonus checks, Used; you or a dependent any health care benefits(medical or dental), cashed any of the Quality bonus checks since 2011,cashed the signing bonus check, used legal services before they expired, have not had your seniority move you up the ladder due to all the hiring that has been done the last few years( or been hired and provided a job in the same time period), been laid off and returned the SUB check when it comes. If not; then I guess you have not gotten your monies worth, however you cannot sign off until the expiration of our current CBA. If you do sign off and something happens and you need representation, I hope your rep is having a bad day and is unable to persuade management not to screw you. And please give back to the company all negotiated bonus' and benefits that our union dues provide come next contract if you do in fact sign off, you leach.
  9. They are not avoiding using both joining/bonding types.
  10. DTP retools over this Christmas and next shutdown while KCAP still runs 2014's, once DTP up and running full speed around Oct/ Nov. expect some down time at KCAP for their retool. Still fill orders for the 2014 while launching the 2015, what I'm hearing anyway. So 3 crews starting in July corresponds with DTP's down time/launch period, shockingly I thought KC was already running 3 crews. Dearborn Derek no way DTP will be ready to run P552 after Christmas, that come after summer shutdown and expected downtime surrounding shutdown.
  11. The media still uses the old formula, that $70 per hours included all expenses we cost the company per hour. so not only hourly rate but all benefits were included in that number. That number has gone down tremendously with concessions and more and more entry level employees. Back on topic though, I am not to worried about profit sharing this year. There were special items last year as well, maybe not as much but there were re-read 2012's financials. I was rather happy with last years profit sharing as most seemed to be once they got the check, even the ones that bitched about the formula and the 12k cap they still seemed to enjoy the checks they got. Well no one took me up on my offer to spend their money for them if they did not want it, so I assume they were ok with what they got.
  12. We run with Production floor associate and Production floor tech and team leader, what trailfndr says works ONLY if the company is willing to actually give everyone a fair chance to train in all the jobs. Usually the company is to worried about sending extras home to give consideration to versatility training, just my experience in Dearborn. So we technically have only 3 classifications in production but we utilize some older job titles within the Tech classifications.
  13. The M10 program allows for a max of 75 miles, yes certain level employees get to take a vehicle home for a night and do a full quality check on anything they might find. They have to report it and any defects get repaired. So 80 miles can account for the in plant testing as well as it was more than likely a M10 unit.
  14. me too Lol, I hope he gets the help he obviously needs.
  15. http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/story/23052681/wolchek-investigation-masked-internet-instigator I could not resist, and yes he was on here many times as many different usernames....most would remember him by "Chucky"
  16. There are multiple plants in the Rouge not from DTP and I have not heard the name from DSP but I'm not in there as much as DTP. Maybe DEFTP or DDMP
  17. Workman's comp now pays through Unicare just a different amount depending if the injury is classified comp or personal.
  18. you just asked the wrong person from Local 600 =p
  19. He is a pretty fair guy, had him as a Body Area manager and an assistant plant manager at DTP. He is management but for saying that overall decent for the workers.
  20. That fact does not change that DTP and KC account for a big portion of the N.A. profits which for hourly employees = higher profit sharing checks. Hourly would not get near the profit sharing amount had the 2012 sales figures been based off the profits of say 600k Fusions over 600k F series. Per vehicle they simply make more profit per every F series sold, only Lincolns have a higher on average profit margin per vehicle but sell a whole lot less than F series. That was the point I was trying to make. Ice if those number are pretty accurate, I feel good about myself, I was close and I only based my figures off what I see ran on average in the plant
  21. Seems the pay stub site (at.ford.com) is down but ( myfordbenefits ) seems to be up currently.
  22. Your Chairman should have the most recent numbers as updated by National Ford Department. As for the list I couldnt tell you, but that should go by company seniority. If its not posted by friday Ill try and remember to write down the numbers and post em
  23. Wanna bet? there are currently roughly 6,700 entry level with more coming before 2015.
  24. Last I heard the CAW was a union http://www.caw.ca/en/index.aspx, which would make Ford products from Canada union made correct?
