  1. I suppose you'd like to replace the '07 tailgate with the one from the '08 so you can have the release handle obnoxiously below the license plate, rather than the clean looking '07....
  2. I had a 1967 Falcon all through college, from 1972-1976. I bought it from a little old lady for $700.00. It had 43,000 miles on it when I bought it, and 150,000 miles on it when I left it at the junk yard. The only option it had was an automatic transmission. The engine was the 200cid 6cyl. I installed a Pioneer 8-track tape deck and a pair of speakers. I would rank it as one of the best, most dependable cars I have owned. I'm from Portland, ME. originally, and went to college in Syracuse, NY. It got me through many a snow storm and other adventures, going back and forth to Portland, as well as around NY state. It looked like the enclosed picture, minus the hood scoop and such. There was so much weed smoked in that car that you just had to sit in it, and you'd get a buzz. My junior year of college, some schmuck stole the 8-track, ''forcing'' me to buy a cassette deck to replace it (a Realistic, from Radio Shack). Many fond memories with that car....I wish Ford still made it, or, better yet, bring the Australian version here..(I know, it would be too expensive for the sheep...)
  3. Yeah, but, who cares about pedestrians???? Let them watch where the hell they're walking!!!
  4. Actually, it's $41,783.10. Much more acceptable!!! I would buy one....

    XM Radio

Why were my posts deleted?? Other people have said a hell of a lot worse than I said...is there some kind of double standard going on here???

    XM Radio

Why bother? They are going to merge, and, having had Sirius for two years, it is clearly superior in it's music and talk show offerings over XM..the main thing XM will contribute is Major League Baseball.
  7. C'mon, people...it is just metal, plastic and rubber...it is not a living, breathing being.
  8. Ross Perot accurately predicted, that, if NAFTA passed, the big sucking sound you would hear would be jobs leaving the US. NAFTA hasn't helped the working man in the United States one bit. My grandfather was a lifelong employee of Ford, working at the Metuchen, NJ plant (is that still open??). Whatever it's worth, I support you and the union in your endeavors to make a better life for yourselves and your families.
  9. I was in Hell, MI. back in '87..my kids got a hoot telling their friends that they were going to Hell...quiet little place....
  10. I do believe in your signature that you forgot to tell us what kind of underwear you wear, including color.
  11. IMO, it was a mistake to change the name --- should have left as Five Hundred.
  12. My wife and I are both 53......We looked at the Freestyle...the towel rack turned the wife right off, plus I didn't like the cvt. I have an E150, so I wasn't looking to haul things...We ended up ordering an Edge, which we received Feb.28. We are both very happy with our choice. The Edge, which now has 15,000 miles, has been trouble free, very comfortable, great gas mileage, excellent handling (even with those Korean tires..)...we love it. I would love to get a European Focus with a tc diesel...my only fear is that Ford would "cheapen" it for the American market, that Ford is afraid that Americans won't pay $30,000 for a Focus...if, as mentioned, the quality, fit and finish is par to what is sold in Europe, I would have no problem shelling out 30+ grand for one. As for the 500--my mother-in-law has one, and I have driven a rental one for several days..my only complaint was the anemic engine/transmission..stick the 3.5 engine and 6 speed tranny the Edge has in there, and that will be a world class car.
  13. I would like to see some of the Ford of Europe type of products....Turbo charged diesel engines, the quality of the fit and finish, the styling...I think it would go well over here. I'd most certainly get a turbo charged diesel engine that gets great gas mileage, and has power to kick you in the ass. No more of this Freestyle crap...give us the European Galaxie...you aren't fooling anyone calling the Freestyle the Taurus X...it still has the towel rack on the passenger side dash, among other undesirable things..What about the Kuga?? A 4x4 based on the Focus chassis...that has a 217hp turbocharged 5 cylinder gas engine...that would sell like hell here!!
