  1. It's a beautiful thing. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/9f83629c-fda4-11df-9ea5-00144feab49a.html?referrer_id=yahoofinance&ft_ref=yahoo1&segid=03058#axzz16uSr6kyd
  2. With all these guys Lincoln hired with global backgrounds, do you really think Ford wants to take the brand global?
  3. What a great performance by Ford. No doubt a real money-maker! With an improving economy heading into 2011, Ford's progress will be stunning!

  5. http://www.detnews.com/article/20101124/AUTO01/11240412/Ford-trims-debt-by-$1.9B There was a time not too long ago Ford would give guidence on profits, quality, market-share issues etc in very long time frames. Then they would beat those estimates and say look how our turn-around plan is working. Now it seems the pace of Ford's performance is even exceeding their own expectations. :happy feet:
  6. "Flexible robotic equipment to come in Louisville Assembly's body shop will exceed technology even at Michigan Assembly, Tetreault said. “We are going to transform the Explorer plant into the most high tech, small car plant in the world,” he added in remarks to the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers at their annual meeting. “Once that transformation is complete, the Louisville Assembly Plant … will afford flexibility like we have not had anywhere else in the world" I could see this being a slow launch. I hope they will be able to work the bugs out without too much grief.
  7. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Why-Fords-Success-Could-Be-fool-2235934406.html?x=0&.v=2 "Contrast that with once-frugal Toyota (NYSE: TM - News), which has ramped up incentives in a big way to try to keep its sales from sagging. It's had mixed results; Toyota was the only major automaker to see a sales decline (down 4%) in the U.S. in October. While Ford's incentive spending is still higher than the company would like, it isn't showing up on the bottom line. Ford is currently the world's most profitable automaker." This article even kicks sand in Yota face, how good is that?
  8. http://apnews.myway.com//article/20101105/D9JA86G80.html "Sean Hannity, a conservative radio talk show host with a popular hour on Fox News Channel each weeknight, donated $2,400 to the congressional campaign of New York Republican John Gomez in May. In August, he donated $5,000 to Michelepac, or Many Individual Conservatives Helping Elect Leaders Everywhere, according to the Federal Election Commission. The PAC is associated with Minnesota Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann. Fox's Bill Shine, senior vice president of programming, told the Twin Cities Pioneer Press after the Bachmann donation that "it's always good to remember that he's not a journalist; he's a conservative TV host. If he wants to donate to a candidate, he certainly can." There you have it! The senior VP openly admitting that it's NOT journalism. The whole bunch of them are nothing but conservative servants.
  9. And Ford, Czubay and his boys, seem to be on the leading edge of it! Actually Mulally has gotten alot, (rightly so), credit for Ford's success story, but maybe the big picture could be painted as Bill Ford jr. has assembled a really SHARP team! As a side note it doesn't seem that long ago that all of Ford's power trains were junk. I mean old, noisy, poor performance, poor MPG and not very dependable. Now, the complete reverse is true. As big a story as any in this turn around.

  11. "Ford’s commercial vans also made strong contributions to October’s truck sales performance. Econoline, Ford’s full-size van, had sales of 7,379, up 30 percent, and Transit Connect, the fuel-efficient, purpose-built van, delivered sales of 2,577, up 70 percent." This sure seems an indication that the economic malaise that has affected our economy the last few years is slowly starting to ease. If this proves to be the case, Ford is poised for a tremendous 2011!
  12. Milan sales were 2,200. When ford gets Mercury sales, (monkey) off thier back, will that translate to 2,000 additional Fusion sales? I think so. Then the same holds true for Escape, as Mariner sales were 3,000. That will get you into top ten territory!
  13. Why do I get the impression that the 'cause' really doesn't do much for you? To call someone "a complete DICK" because Pioneer rebuked your unwitting, or not, comment about retired UAW members being monkeys is classless.
  14. Sagacious- mentally quick, shrewd, wise, the ability to see what needs to be done in a difficult situation. I like it. Have to commit that to memory!
  15. Just think of all the company you could of had had there not been SS. Very sad indeed.
  16. "Ford supported its case for a credit upgrade by paying down its revolving credit line by $2 billion in the third quarter. The company also will close out the last of its health-care trust obligations by making a cash payment of $3.6 billion on Friday. Those moves will reduce the company's overall debt to $22.8 billion, down about $4.5 billion from the end of June. Ford plans to lower its debt even further by offering two convertible debt securities in the fourth quarter. Holders will be offered a cash premium as an inducement for them to convert the debt into shares of Ford common stock, The Journal reported." http://seekingalpha.com/article/232603-ford-takes-pole-position-among-automakers?source=yahoo If these holders accept this offer will the price of Ford shares drop? Any idea of how much debt Ford could retire?
  17. Ford is on track to earn over 6billion this year, the best since 1999. http://www.freep.com/article/20101025/BUSINESS01/10250413/1322/Wave-of-auto-profits-are-expected-this-week Look at your profit-share then and guess what it might be like this year. However if your source is a "turd", why would you post his shit with your name?
  18. As long as you remember , ....."someone" gave up a piece of the pie.
  19. Sole survivour of Prius has no recollection. http://www.annarbor.com/news/sole-survivor-in-prius-involved-in-head-on-crash-that-killed-5-has-no-memory-of-what-happened-green/#comments
  20. Might Ford want the same type of agreement for LAP that they got at MAP for the Focus?
  21. Nice looking little truck. Ford could sell a million-of-em here in the states. However there-in lies the problem. That T6 would take away too many F-150 sales.
  22. Again, not saying if this was a case of driver error or a mechanical problem, but there is this: http://www.reuters.com/article/idCNN1219825720101012?rpc=44 To answer your question, yes because it is a Toyota.
  23. http://www.detnews.com/article/20101012/METRO/10120402/Autopsy--Driver-in-U.S.-23-crash-was-conscious-when-he-crossed-median The latest. Also I have read an article saying the group of teens had been visiting friends in Ann Arbor over the week-end. The week-end happened to be the U of M, Michigan State football rivalry game at Ann Arbor.
  24. This just happened Sunday. Obviously early in investigation. Not saying if this is operator error or mechanical malfunction. Certainly one to keep an eye on! http://detnews.com/article/20101011/METRO04/10110359
