  1. KTP has trades on a weekend crew, recently they pulled all the electricians and put them on a five day schedule so they have enough electricians to run M-F....
  2. Did u get the grievance number and question the disposition of the grievance with plant committee? Always request copy of the grievance
  3. Geez dude your shit is old...maybe take your own advise......sorry but you suck
  4. Glad you both are enjoying your trucks, the crew at Kentucky Truck where your trucks are built take a lot of pride in building the best selling truck in America and we appreciate your business.... Good roads and happy camping
  5. Excellent post.... keep up the good work
  6. Are the retraining opportunities going up for all trades, except someone except someone holding the trade being offered???
  7. You just described that plant in Monroe Co. (can't remember name) joint effort by chrysler, hundai & somebody engine plant or something
  8. YUK! Ice coolers.... There is a reason why they put sealed covers over Tylenol bottles, it keeps all the sicko's hands out of the bottle, just sayin. It's like mixing Gatorade in those big unwashed igloo coolers Yum Yum drink it up... Heave forbid a health and safety rep actually do something. Sorry pet peeve
  9. Rainbow Trk... I image your concerns about accepting high seniority workers from plants is a concern for a lot of workers, you're one of the few willing to express those concerns, but relax it is what it is. There are always people who have it worse so cheer up... Be glad you're not a welder, tinknocker, or M/R in trades seems like those classifications are going the way of the gunnie you brought up in an earlier post.... You should be safe on production, with 95 seniority or whatever. you should be in good shape... My2 cents have a good one.
  10. Ask the IUAW (brother king & Brother Browning) if the executive board has met and whether they ruled on bringing production people off the line and making them skilled trades people for a year at a time, and NO these production people have never held a trade classification at ford. Been told its happening at LAP too but haven't been able to verify this. The appeal has been with IUAW since July2011 Constitution says they will rule... but doesn't say how long.... seems like they are sitting on it from what I hear. ASK THEM ABOUT IT
  11. Pioneer....Really? Better check your fluke, you definitely don't have continuity.... infinite resistance aka an open circuit.... But I'm no electrician, must be a bad prox cord
  12. Furious you're still welcome here, and give up the battle with the electrician, way to much resistance there it's a battle with an open circuit... LOL We who know you, know you're a stand up person. Enjoy the down time it will be shipping season soon, as warm as it's been you shouldn't have to much ice to deal with.
  13. If it were mine, I'd leave the vacuum advance, (ported carb) remove all other emission stuff. Trying to remember what all they had on back then? EGR valve was a recent addition in 79 I'd just remove it cap it. Catalytic converter replace with straight pipe if it has converter. 79 era carb had caps on idle mixture screws I'd make sure mixture screws were adjustable. 460's were notorious for cracked Exhaust manifolds I'd check those as well. Choke .... make sure your choke is functioning for cold starts. Vacuum advance is only going to function 1500 - 2000 rpm after that centrifugal advance (mechanical weights) in distributor takes over. As long as no flat spots at higher RPM, distributor should be good. New cap, wires, rotor, PCV, plugs.... should run like rapped ape....... My 2 cents
  14. Sorry I've read this post for some time and I need to ask a question. Are you trying to present an argument that because salary health plans have deductibles, that hourly people should be grateful they do not have the co-pays? Because my opinion is, if you look at total compensation package there are trade offs. If you have a health care package with low out of pocket expense, then you maybe giving up defined raises, or matching 401 K contribution, or lease car.... Somewhere in that benefit package, there are differences that offset total compensation. Something in the compensation package must have been attractive for you to seek a position in the salary pay ranks as opposed to seeking an hourly position. Its difficult to compare apples to oranges, a better example might be what percentage of total benefits does health care coverage equal in the two benefit packages. Again just an opinion
  15. Agree... and I say about 6 of the names commenting on this post belong to chuckie including jeter... the others are republican haters so just close out this BS topic
  16. LOL the chuckster ..... dumb ass chuck man.... how do you keep all those screen names organized .... Its especially great when you start a topic and then keep it going with one your 25 different screen names
  17. Rather than make statements "the Fix is in" ..... I mean if you have time to post here, then you have time to get on the bylaws committee at your local union or at least attend the meetings regarding voting practices, election committee, etc.. Your bylaws and the International constitution define voting practice's. The membership is the highest ranking authority, if you want more precautions built into the voting practices ...then do it! FYI.... Usually voting rights defined in bylaws, are centered on the election of individuals, once a person is elected it's assumed that the person put in place by the membership has the membership's best interest in mine, during negotiations.... One of the problems faced by some UAW members, is that it's membership doesn't understand collective. The idea of collective bargaining has been replaced by I.... I don't trust, I don't like the agreement, what's in it for me.... So what have you done to help the collective good.... I mean you are the union, what are WE doing to help US..... Have a good one
  18. OMG......Chuckie give it a rest, your plan must be to spread shit, what were u ignored as a child, hate ford and uaw.......anybody with low post numbers, residing in SE Mi your profile is the same on all your post....DUH!
