  1. While working as temps we also have the right ti bid on any openings in our trade. :party2:
  2. This could not be put into effect without our vote.
  3. From what I understand we as a union voted that in just recently. :titanic:
  4. You are right I have listened to them bash the unions but they never say which unions. are they the radio station unions? Or the telivision unions? They use it pretty generaly. Must be the broadcasters union they are talking about.
  5. We the ILO's who have no plant would love to have you talk with us in a meeting like forum and tell us, who have no Committee people (they took the buyouts and retired and desertively so), how we don't deserve to be told where we are on the seniority list of job openings. There are plenty of hyper links to other things like votes cast or news paper articles or high lights from Ford World, but never a list of the people who are transfering. We don't even know if there are any openings to bid on. None of this clasified so why be afraid to disclose it?
  6. My plant is closed down. There are no offices. We are out on ILO. We get no notifications.
  7. Look at what we must resort to to find out what seniority it takes to win a bid. It's I heard this or I think that nothing official. This is very much like being left in the dark.
  8. I do not hear a peep from anywhere and the plant was one that was shut down, so that isn't there any more. The only news I get is from this web site and you can see the type of news I get.
  9. I am, T&D with 93 seniority. :reading:
  10. I believe by posting names and seniority it keeps everybody on the straight and narrow path, stops any questions, lets people know where they stand with their seniority, and keeps anybody from trying to stray off the narrow path. It may alert others that they were not asked and overlooked while maybe on ILO.
  11. When the president forces national health care down our throat Ford won't have to worry about that either. Next step cut out retirement and make it a 401k and they are free and clear from everything the unions have fought for all these years.
  12. That's why I keep checking here, to see if there is any movement or if I'm just hung out here to dry. :missing:
  13. Don't the low seniority get forced if there is an opening and a high seniority ILO takes the low senioritys place?
  14. We have pretty much already lost the ability to strike. If we strike for anything other than HEALTH AND SAFETY, Ford can call in scabs to fill your job with the governments help to protect them. And if you were to harm a scab and put in jail do you think Ford would hold your job untill you get out of jail? This is not the union law it is federal law. :beatdeadhorse: So with being said what are you giving up?
  15. The most expensive shift to run is day shift with electrical rates being at there highest . So it makes the most sence to shut down days and work afternoons and midnights. They have less people per shift, Just as much work gets done to make up for the shift rates, and by the time they come in management will know what they want to do.
  16. You can demand representation in one hand and poo in the other and at the end of the day see what is in your hand.
  17. You are right. It would be much cheaper to build a new plant.
  18. There are about 12 or 13 of us.
  19. I know I know, I have been off for two years. You can only bump if there is an opening...
  20. where did you get your facts, I would like to look that up.
  21. Ten to fifteen years ago we made great profits and even received profit sharing. Employees are still putting the same screws in it same holes and same pistons in the same holes. Everything is still working at the same efficientcy as it did when we were making a proffit. So it looks to me as the problem is a lot higher up the chain. When someone desighns a product that don't sell and the majority of the people don't like, Why keep him around to make more of what people don't like. A vehicle must be designed for a price the market will bear. If you can't do that move over for someone else that can.
  22. You need to have a talk to Mr. King about what you voted in. get down to the fine print which was not in the flyer handed out.
  23. We all need a truely level playing field.
  24. But you are! That's what was just voted in.
