  1. Oh and the witness has to actually show up to court also. (Never happens).
  2. Sure but if the driver of the 2nd vehicle (vehicle that rear ends car in front) doesn't say anything about the dim lighting, I can only notate the equipment on the vehicle and issue the citation to the driver of vehicle 1. The judge is possibly more inclined to make them remove them if driver 2 says something I suppose but in my 6 years of patrol and DWI enforcement I have yet to see any driver be penalized for obstructed lenses. Just a very liberal judicial district in NM.
  3. As a Police Officer I can tell you guys judges don't give a crap about this stuff. Even though it's a law on the books they ultimately choose to do absolutely nothing when you cite someone for it. At least where I'm from anyhow.
  4. Because that's the next truck I want to spend 50 thousand dollars on. I don't want to wait several years after release for all the kinks to get worked out. I'm excited about it, I really am, that type of improvement with all that weight loss should do wonders.
  5. The good news is that Ford is addressing their biggest issue in thousands of reviews, MFT! Finally a new OS. I have read hundreds of consumer reviews and few complain about mechanical issues but most about MFT.
  6. This was my first topic post here and you all have been awesome and quick to respond. Always been a Ford fan and hopefully they continue to keep the quality products flowing.
  7. I'm really considering a new F150 with the 10 spd transmission. However I'm terrified of how many potential issues and or the durability of such a change.
  8. The issue with damage to the ptu I thought the same thing. But I couldn't remember at any point where I hit the bottom of the vehicle on anything but they are driven very hard. I've been in several pursuit situations and have had to clear center medians ect.... however I always clear at proper angles so as to not impact the critical components. The mechanic for my department said it could blown the casing from pressure but that didn't really make sense to me. Any how this is interesting stuff guys because I've noticed a big upswing in quality in ford's since my 2002 ranger, which was a ln awesome truck! However when I see complaints of things it's a keak, or a part that is continually causing issues. So does Ford penalize the supplier for defective parts as nobody knows the supplier so the bad perception falls on Ford even though they didn't manufacturer the bad part?
  9. I have a question for you guy in the know with Ford. In your opinion based off your knowledge of the manufacturing processes and quality of parts from suppliers, what causes most defects? I own or drive multiple Ford products, and have had very minimal issues with all of them. This includes a 1996 5.0 ford explorer, 2002 ford ranger FX4, 2012 ford edge (still own), 2014 ford explorer police utility (for my job), 2015 ford F350. I had a bad battery in the edge but that's all. A bad C02 sensor on my Ranger at about 60k, very min or deal put 120k on that vehicle. Now my ford explorer police utility is leaking oil from the motor and the ptu unit cracked I guess. Not sure how common this is but it's really taking a long time to fix it. Also wondering as a loyal Ford buyer personally if this is a manufacturing or supplier issue as I have read I'm not alone in this oil leak and ptu issue. Thanks for your responses all.
  10. Anybody who thinks Ford is going into this blind against the LE Man's comp is crazy. It my be called ecoboost for marketing purposes but I can bet that motor is wicked in every way. Ford already knows where the car sits against Ferrari and the others. Awesome!
  11. You can't fix stupid..................and that is what MT employee's are and think people are. There is no way in hell that truck should have won given the FACTS behind the comparison. 900 lb payload really?
  12. Looks more SUV like and less van like..... I like it. Maybe they will do a redesign in 2017 though and I will snag that one.
  13. Been a very long while since I posted anything on here though I visit every couple of days. I can sit here and say as a fan and multi time consumer of Ford products that I am a little dissapointed in the final results of the 15 Mustang. I expected a loss in weight most notibly as the technology from Ford has become more prevelent and thus cheaper to manufacture. However that isn't the case and it is what it is. Fact is the vehicle drives better than the S197, does a 1/4 mile in the 12's, and a 0-60MPH in about 4.4 seconds for somewhere between $32,000-48,000 depending on your taste. If I bought one I would probably fall somewhere in the middle or just under 40K. Now I'm going to be realistic here with my expectations as a consumer. I will never take my 40K Mustang and balls out on a track, drag strip, or the public road for that matter. I will push it some, drive a little faster through a corner, accelerate heavy now and then, maybe even race the guy in the challenger next to me at the light to the speed limit or a little over lol. My point is I like 90% of people who spend the kind of money for these new cars are not going to ever hit 100% of the cars capabilites and therefore these track comparisons are just for show! If your damn amped about having the absolute best Mustang available then buy a used GT500 or Boss (yes they are for sale out there and it's not for 100,000 either.) I want to drive the car, enjoy the deep sound of the exhaust, have some power at the push of the pedal, but enjoy some refinement in the interior also. My father, old as he may be has a 2009 GT500 that he bought brand new. To this day it only has about 12k on it and when I do drive it, I realize that I CANT DRIVE TO THE CAPABILITIES OF THE CAR IN TOWN ANYHOW. It's cool to have 500HP but I can really only go so fast and drive so hard around town without putting myself or someone else in danger and my 50K dollar car also. Point is guys is that people will buy this car and enjoy it. It looks great and if the performance isn't up to par then people will do what they have always done with Mustangs, UPGRADE THE SHIT OUT OF IT! lol. Hopefully one day soon though Ford will bring aluminum body to the Mustang
  14. Well I sold my stocks at a loss of about 600 bills. I am a college student so I hope that lets you know I don't generally have money to burn and I reletivley new at the stock exchange. I simply wanted to salvage the 500 dollars it was still worth. I asked the question hoping for some input from people who have been trading Ford stock before. I asked the question about the VEBA because I had no idea what that is and some ass hole on here thought it was a stupid question. If I knew the answer I wouldn't have asked it ass hole! But to all of you who gave me your positive input I thank you. Hopefully Ford and the economy can turn around even though I will be a little hurt when Ford stock goes back up.
  15. Ok here is my question for all of you. If you were a stock holder in Ford Motor Co. would you hold or sell at this current time? With GM pretty much going bankrupt it can't mean positive things for this industry as a whole. I however have already lost half my value on Ford stock (F) and am thinking about cutting my losses. Even with the amazing line of products Ford is coming out with right now things look so dismal for the future it is hard to be optimistic that my stock won't be worth 50 cents by the end of the year or nothing at all. I know Ford has more cash than the other two but is that simply delaying the inevitable? No matter how good your products are now if people aren't buying them it really doesn't matter if your selling Lambo's for 30k.
  16. Ford will not sell this luxury brand especially since it just posted higher sales than all of the luxury brands from other companies. Lincoln in turning around fast and becoming more appealing to younger and middle aged markets. Mercury I am not so sure about but Lincoln isn't going anywhere.
  17. I will just say that if this truck was here in the U.S. I would buy one in a second. Like as in tomorrow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWpXqQbGvDs&eurl
  18. As a stockholder in this company and a huge fan......This information makes me smile as I know they will be back to life coming out with new quality products such as these hybrids and Raptors even!
  19. Everybody needs to realize you get what you pay for. Maybe the price did go up but so does the quality level that Ford MUST achieve in order to save itself. No more will American auto manufacturers be able to make cars as they once did. I personally love it. I will gladly pay a little more for the quality I am seeing. It's defenetly "A BOLD MOVE AND A MOVE FORWARD."
  20. You know if this were the case I really don't care... Just make a quality capable truck and a mustang for me and Im good. The Euro designs are actually nice lookin cars but I don't want a euro influence on my truck or my mustang just my 2 cents!
  21. what were the torque numbers rumored to be on a 3.5l ecoboost engine? I know it's capable of 400hp but what about the torque which would translate into towing capacity?
  22. I think I could live with 340 at the 2010MY release!!!! Just throw a tune and intake on it and wa la 350 +
  23. Thanks for the posts everybody!!!!! I hope Ford can put at least 350 in the 4.6l for the 2010MY. I think that would keep the car in the running until the 5.0l motor is ready!
