  1. UPDATE: I ended up resetting my MPG and after about 5 or 6 fill-ups and 5 months the miles to empty is back to where it used to be. I still don't understand why replacing the air filter caused a drastic reduction, but just posting here for other's reference.
  2. When I fill up my MKC the miles to empty used to read around 370 miles. I had the dealership perform an oil change and replace the air filter in December. Since then when I fill up it shows around 320. The miles per gallon has not changed (it's been 23.4 - 23.5 for years) and I've driven it over 500 miles since the maintenance was performed. Vehicle has about 25K miles on it. Any suggestions? Or is this something I need to return it to the dealer for? Thanks for any input!

  4. Thank you for the information you supply! Do you happen to know when the order bank for the 2014 Mustang is scheduled to close and when production on the 2015 (or 2014 1/2) is scheduled to begin? I have a lease on a 2011 Mustang that ends 2/28/14 and I'm trying to figure out what to do. Thanks!
  5. .......Something equally as stupid - Can't get the 3.31 axle ratio on the V6 convertible, in the States (have to settle for 2:75). It's optional on the V6 coupe only. It's STANDARD on the the V6 convertible and coupe going to Canada.
  6. I just use regular car washing soap and a soft bristle brush. Before winter, after a good cleaning, I spray the roof with Scotchguard for added protection from road salt (I live in Michigan). Make sure you cover the windows and any paint that could get overspray since it does leave a film.
  7. My vote is for the '69 & '70's - I think they offered the biggest bang for the buck, plus I think they offered the nicest interiors with a good deal of choices.
  8. Any idea where I can find it? Thanks!
  9. Does anyone know if there is a separate order guide for the 2012 Candian Mustang? There was for the 2011 models....
  10. Does anyone have a link to the 2012 Canadian Mustang Order Guide? Thanks!
  11. Any word yet on the 2012 Order Guide? Thanks!!!
  12. I'm getting ready to order a V6 Mustang convert. and after doing some research I've found out that the 3:31 axle is not available on the V6 convertible UNLESS it's one going to Canada - it's STANDARD on those. (Unless I'm reading something wrong) Also the cloth top is optional on the V6 on those going to Canada, where it's not an option on those for the states. Is it possible for a dealer to DSO one and get those options on one to be delivered here in the States? I realize I could always have the dealer change the axle and top once it's delivered, but that opens up the possiblity for problems, not to mention the labor cost associated with delaer installation.
  13. Hi BBF2530 - Thank you for clearing this up - (no offense taken : D ) I was also at my local Mazda dealer last Friday (8/27) and what you have stated is absolutely correct. They are offering the equivalant (at least in the local Detroit area) of Ford "S" plan pricing without the "official" paperwork. Phil
  14. Here in the Detroit area I've been seeing on TV and hearing on the radio Mazda ad's and that Ford employee "S" plan is available. So at least in this part of the country it appears that you can get a Mazda with the discount.
  15. I heard several people say that the Ford "S" plan discount for Mazda vehicles has been discontinued..... does anyone know if there is any truth to that?
  16. Has the 2011 MKZ order gude been released yet? Can someone tell me where I can find the information? Thank you !
  17. Thank you very much Rick. Not only does your V6 Mustang have the axle I want - you were also able to get the cloth top which the other peeve of mine. I am even willing to pay extra for those options, but here in the states they aren't available on the V6 convertible. What a bunch of s**t! Thank you again for sharing your information. When it's time to order mine you can bet I'm going to put up a fight.
  18. Hello - I I'm hoping someone here in the know can tell me why I can get a 3.31 rear axle with an automatic trans. on the hardtop, but not on the convertible. I just don't understand ....... Thanks - Phil
  19. I've been leasing since 1995 and it's been a great way to go - until 2009. I may have to look at buying a 2011 Mustang later this year instead of leasing if they don't offer any good programs.
  20. There are 2 thing's I'm wondering about on the 2011 V6 convertible - 1. Why is the optional 3.31 axle ratio only available on the V6 coupe and not the V6 convert.? 2. Why is the black cloth top only available on the GT premium and not at least an option on the V6 premium ? (it was on the 07-09 V6 premium converts.) I realize if I buy the damn thing I can have the dealer install both - but I would prefer it to be factory installed. If I lease, then I don't have a choice but to stick with the 2.73 axle and the vinyl top. Anyone have an answer? Thanks!
  21. A black cloth top used to be an option on the V6 premium convertible (07,08,09). Can anyone tell me why it's only offered on the GT premium convertible now? I also think Tuxedo Black would be a great color for the Mustang (not just basic Black) - (why isn't it offered - especially with a black cloth top). Any thoughts guys on a Tuxedo Black V6 convertible with a black cloth top?
  22. This is exactly what I've been waiting for. 305hp (my '07 GT only had 300hp) and dual exhaust. I hope the exhaust it "tuned" to sound good. The new 5.0 GT with 400+ hp may be a great car, but the V6 with 305hp for the street and everyday driving plus decent fuel economy is my ticket for a good drive!
