I have to disagree! At the end of the quarter when they post North American Ops numbers you cannot tell me that the fact that they are paying jsp and employing hundreds of temps (or Orange) workers that it doesnt matter. It has to matter, this pot, that pot, and the end of the quarter, its still North America!

Makes total sense to put jsp people there. They r paying 2 people to get 1 job done. Sorry temps! Hate to see anyone lose a job!

The company can do that. Whether or not you are in jsp depends on the reason you are not working. Dearborn is not working because nobody is buying trucks. Rawsonville people are not working because they decided to give our work to someone else. The ilo people will go into jsp once their unemployment runs out. I think it is 42 or 48 weeks.

Yes, the people from mtp had first dibs, thats why they got cancelled. Now, the ilo and jsp folks will fill in the blanks. The note at raw says 5pm on weds not 3, but whatever. You can sign up for 1 or all and you will rank them by preference.

If your plant has jsp or ilo's they will get first crack. Nothing has changed with the contract.

You are absolutely wrong about them needing to be in hiring mode. We took hundreds of people from the Ypsilanti plant within the past 2 years and we were definately not hiring. They transfered with their job! We in turn, have put people in jsp. Better check out "transfer of operations" agreement.

I thought that there was no zones anymore? We production at rawsonville are bidding on jobs in ohio along with people from ohio. I am not positive but I would sure think that everyone in jsp company wide will get to bid on these jobs.

Any person at any plant that has jsp can bid. Kinda unlikely that those bids will make it past this first round.

Ask the people at dtp how well they are informed? Or any where else for that matter. I dont think it is right, but dont act like rawsonville is keeping us in the dark while every other local is brought up to speed immediatly.

If they got skipped over I have heard that you can put in an appeal, it might take a while, but it might be worth it. I know that I sound a little bitter, we have been waiting to get out of here and havent had a chance, and I seriously, personally, know people that have told me that they are gonna wait it out. So, I just dont feel sorry for them. But, at the same time, I dont want them to end up without a job, I just think they need to sweat it out a bit.

Im getting my ass chewed out on the other post for stating that the ach plants have had opportunitys and people said, I signed up, now they are saying they signed up, but not for dtp. I hope everyone gets to move at some point, but the people that got the postings deserve a chance to move too.

I think I would rather be layed off from dtp than be sittin at Saline wondering if I might have fucked myself by not leaving. It will work out. just be patient!!

If you didnt sign up for dtp,may I ask what you did sign up for? just curious, because dtp has been the main one hiring for the past few years.

if you would of went to dtp, you would be able to bid on all the postings this week.
