  1. Great questions vichybrid! I hope yours is arriving soon. ICE stands for "Internal Combustable Engine" (I believe). The Limited does not have a garage door opener feature. When the FEH is in econ mode and the AC is on - the AC will cycle on and off depending on when the gasoline engine is in use. Generally, when you come to a stop, the AC will turn off and the EV engine will engage. When you begin to accelorate the gas engine takes over and the AC kicks back on. How much this happens really depends on external temperatures and the set temps inside the car. A couple of people (including GaryG have reported problems with Econ mode working properly, but I have not had that problem. The tank holds 15 gallons (possibly 15.1 - I'd have to check the owners manual).
  2. I ordered mine on May 8th, it was built on August 20th and I took delivery on September 3rd. The window sticker MSRP reflected the new price, but my dealer never even mentioned the price increase. He seemed pretty savy about all the paperwork with Ford and what needed to be filed and when. I purchased it for our agreed on purchase price.
  3. That is not exactly true...per the '09 FEH Nav System Manual, "SYSTEM SOFTWARE UPDATES NAVTEQ offers system software updates for purchase. You can call 1-800-NAVMAPS or go to www.navteq.com. You will need to specify the make and model of you vehicle in order to determine if a map update is available. CD song/artist/title/album art database updates (CDDB) are available. There is no charge for the data, however, there is a nominal shipping and materials fee. Mapping updates will be available yearly. CDDB database updates are complimentary when a map update is purchased." My understanding is that when you purchase an update, you are sent a DVD install disc that then updates the hard drive of your system.
  4. All Window Stickers blended after August 1st reflect the Aug 1st price increase. This in no way reflects the price protection guarantee on dealer invoice pricing for retail orders placed prior to August 1st. My window sticker showed the new pricing, but it did not impact what I paid. (Order placed May 8th - Produced Aug. 20th - took delivery Sept. 3rd).
  5. Ice-capades, Is there any recourse for a customer who placed an order in April/May but now their dealer is trying to pass on the price increase? Didn't happen to me - but have read of a couple of others that are experiencing this problem.
  6. I would ask your dealer about Ford's stated price protection for orders placed prior to August 1. If the dealer's cost hasn't gone up - then yours shouldn't either. Otherwise it is the dealer that is just trying to get an additional $1,030 out of you.
  7. The dealer's invoice price should have been price protected (all retail orders submitted prior to August 1st were). While my window sticker reflected the new MSRP on mine - our original negotiated price was honored (we never even discussed the price increase). My build date August 20th. This might be a legitimate thing to take up with Ford customer service.
  8. On your window sticker, there is a "number" on the top left hand side. This is actually a date. For yours it is "120080910" - if you look at other peoples progress, no one has had theirs built prior to the day after this date. And since the plant re-opening it has been more like three to five days (mine was 8/17 and was built on 8/20). Hope this helps.
  9. Thanks so much ViperPilot! Picked it up Wednesday - would love to see the final timeline tracking. Again thanks so much - I love it already!!!!
  10. I'll know more tonight - dealer just called I'm picking mine up tonight!
  11. Interestingly, when you run the incentives pages for '08 Escapes, it reads at top "Incentives for FY08 Ford Escape" and underneath it reads: "Offers on FY08 Escape Hybrid" I'll let you know what happens Friday.
  12. When I access it through the '09 FEH with my zip code it reads, "Incentives available on 2009 Escape Hybrid in zip code 22407" then under it it reads: "Offers on '09 Escape" it then lists the incentives you mention. I pick mine up on Friday, so I guess I'll find out then if any of these work for the FEH!
  13. ViperPilot, Do you have an update to whether or not this has actually left KC. Customer service is now reporting estimated delivery at 9/11 which seems a bit long if it was shipped on the 22nd. Any updated info would be appreciated. Thanks for everything.
  14. Thanks so much! Hopefully it shipped today??!!!
