  1. I'm a retiree living in SW Florida. I stopped by Sam Gallaway Ford and inquired if they had received any 2024 Mustangs. The salesman stated, "they won't be coming in until Jan 2024." I thought that I had read that the issues had been worked out and Ford was beginning to ship the new Mustangs to dealers. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. Many dealers are marking up MSRP cost. Do dealers have to give the A/Z plan price to eligible participates??
  3. Well we took a new Black Label from our Dealers stock; their last one. It was what we wanted and had been informed that Ford was supposed to make a "big" announcement on Tuesday, May 3. Things worked out well and we couldn't be more happy. Our thanks to all the brothers/sisters at Oakville Assembly you built a great vehicle for us. As I was told those seats are great (I'll eat crow) and after some adjustments they are very, very comfortable.
  4. What is your input on the 24 way seating in the Lincoln Nautilus? Which of the two is more comfortable in your opinion? I recently test drove a 22 Nautilus Black Label with the stock, 10 way seats and it felt as if I were setting on a concrete block. When I ordered a new Black Label the sales manager said the 24 way seats were not available so encouraged me to order the stock seats. Any help you give is greatly appreciated. Thanks from an old Econoline worker living in beautiful SW Florida. Sam

  6. Would someone please school me as to how Lincoln prioritizes build codes when a 2022 Nautilus Black Label is ordered? I placed a $750 deposit with the dealer as well. Thanks
  7. @akirby: I'm sorry for the piggyback tracking requests. I've not been on this site since my retirement 9 years ago. About the VIN, I was going off information the dealer gave me and just found out all the dealer info was crazy. That VIN was on the paperwork that was given to me. My wife and I thought that was odd. I chatted with a Ford rep from another source and she told me that VIN was in Jacksonville, FL on 04/19/22. I told her I was confused as I didn't order until the 25th. I got ahold of Metrogistics and found the VIN number Nautilus was delivered to the dealership on the 20th. That good friend is my excuse. Peace out! Sam
  8. Just ordered a Nautilus Black Label on 4/25/2020. 2LMPJ9JP4NBL09424
  9. It was explained at my Lincoln dealer that Lincoln was the AXZ plan price was not being shown on website due to low vehicle inventory. To use the AXZ plan price I had to order a new Nautilus when there was an identical Nautilus sitting next to the door. So I ordered the car. I was planning on saving for a down payment and by ordering Lincoln allowed me to do this. Sam
  10. I ordered a new 2022 Black Label Nautilus yesterday, 4/45/2022 from Sam Galloway Lincoln in Fort Myers, FL. My VIN is 2LMPJ9JP4NBL09424; about how long does it take from order to get into production? Do customer orders take precedence over dealer "in stock" orders? Thank you; Sam
  11. From date of order, about how long does it take to get a VIN? I ordered a Black Label Nautilus on 4/25/22 and received my email from Lincoln that my order had been received. I was told that Lincoln would be sending emails on upcoming events dealing with my vehicle. Dealer "thought" the time frame to delivery would be about 12 weeks to Fort Myers, FL but can't say for sure, which is fine with me. Thank you in advance for any input. Sam
  12. I've been searching for a new Lincoln on the AXZ.com site. I'm a Ford retiree and now it shows me only a "MSRP" price when looking at dealer inventories. Can anyone help with an explanation please?
  13. I can tell you we had approx. 125 sign up for transfer to Louisville. Ohio Assembly has hired and are hiring many LTS (I call them Long Term Slaves--Ford's def. is Long Term Supplemental). They can keep them almost forever with no benefits. I'm not sure how many Ford people we have had transfer from other plants, ACH or others. Hope this helps. Skypilotusmc1
  14. I read where at Chicago Assembly it is thought (or maybe be shown) that by adding a third shift the workers would lose OT. When I first started at Lorain Assembly Plant a brother told me, don't base your standard of living on what you make on OT or for that matter on 40 hrs a week. Base it upon what unemployment is. Years ago before I started at Ford and lived in Michigan I saw on the news when something like this (our contract disagreements) that a Ford worker was told that if every Ford worker would work 40 hrs a week all those workers on layoff could return to work. His response was "I don't care about them. I need 56 hrs a week to pay for my lifestyle." Think back just a short while ago when GM and Chrysler sought gov't assistance. Remember how the news, Congress and most of America felt about union workers? If we vote down this contract, we will not get a better one, we will lose money that we will not be able to regain, America will again talk about those greedy autoworkers and many of the Ford workers will lose things that we have worked hard to achieve. Do I like that we are not getting our COLA? NOT AT ALL! But because we have COLA doesn't mean we will always get pay raises because of it. There have been times that we have lost some monies (few, but still lost). Do I like the money that upper management gets paid? NOT AT ALL! I believe that no person is worth what they are being paid in most upper management positions. But the fact of life is they get it and I (we) work hard for every penny we get. And my belief is we should get more. I voted NO on every concession we gave back. I knew that once it is given up, IT'S GONE. So in reality I was hoping to keep that which we had in this new contract. It seems as if that has happened. Would I like to have gotten more; oh yea! But.... And isn't there a limit on the number of 2 tier workers that Ford can have in it's workforce? And, didn't most of us agree that the pay they would receive was not enough? And didn't the majority of Ford workers agree to that percentage and their pay? Oh yes, we did ratify that contract. As for the assembly plants getting new work in the 2007 contract, i.e. new body shops, Ohio Assembly did not get theirs. The only promised plant that didn't get what was in the contract. How many of you cried to IUAW for us? So I too know how some of you feel about the IUAW. Will we get the new promised truck? I'll believe it when we start running them. Don't forget that Ford built a state of the art paint shop at Lorain Assembly. Only to run very few vans through it and disassemble it and move it to Michigan. A contract is only as good as the paper it's printed on or as the whole UAW stands behind it. I agree that I think this is the best we can expect in these times. We should ratify this agreement and wait to fight another day. Lets not lose the war at the expense of a very small victory (if it could be called that). Just so you know, I select rims at B40 for the Econoline. I'm a 60 yr old disabled Marine Vietnam Vet, walk with a limp and can out work most people, if I choose to. Semper Fi; Skypilotusmc1
