  1. Not bad at all. It's kind of a mix of the Flex dash with the Edge heat vents. Looks nice though. It's nice to see farmiliar design cues from model to model without them all getting the cookie cutter look they historically have fallen into. Just different enough. What's up with the Lincoln badge on the steering wheel?
  2. THAT'S sad but true if I've ever heard it.
  3. Christian Akoye. The Nigerian Nightmare. It was 1969, during Superbowl IV. Len Dawson(another great) was at the helm. Anyways, my brain is "wired" just fine, and sometimes I think yours is alright too. Sometimes. You have valid points, and obviously research everything out, but it's your reaction in your posts (mostly the earlier crazier ones) that lead me to believe that once the information gets in your head, it goes sour. You twist things and stew on them until you've made yourself irate. Overanalyze maybe. Look for things to be wrong. Stretch for them. There's a post on these forums now saying Sarah Palin is tied to terrorism... Are you kidding me? Is this the new Seven Degrees of Kevin Bacon? Talk about stretching and twisting. Now I also know it goes on both ways. Watergate etc... But grabbing onto these things and ranting insanely doesn't help anything. Are there solutions? Maybe. But read your early posts. I'll wait. You were screaming doom and gloom, and defend your property from Martial Law, and join the Militia, and randomly quoting TV shows. It was definately entertaining to read, but insane. Radicalism feeds on, and breeds panic, which has gotten us here. Panic. Uncertainty. Fear. It leads to a lack of Patriotism. Not blind patriotism, mind you, but just good 'ole fashioned patriotism. Where people are proud to buy American. Looking for the little American flag sticker on the bottom of their new snow globe. It's a big part of what's hurting Ford right now, which trickles down to the economy in general. Ford and GM are two of the largest employers in the USA, and if you think them struggling isn't going to hurt the economy, you got another thing coming. It's OK to be Patriotic AND question things, but I don't hear any patriotism, just anger and blind ranting.Soooo... Which team do you cheer for on Sundays???
  4. I didn't say that. I said: "Disagreeing is what makes America great." Check my post. It's how you disagree. Blindly bashing EVERYTHING in the U.S. policy is what gets me. ALWAYS bucking the system, not SOMETIMES bucking the system. SEARCHING for things to dislike. And a person really disagrees about everything that comes from the White House, it shouldn't be about what I think. If you're really that upset with your country of residence, it's up to you to decide who does it better, and decide if you would rather live there instead. Your choice. Unless of course you just love complaining and hearing yourself whine, in which case, shut up. Period.
  5. Not for nuthin', but I just took in a 2007 Corolla S, and the interior looks like it's soft to the touch, but it has as many or more hard plastic panels as the Focus. Also have a 2006 Camry. Same as the Fusion. After all the talk of imports having the nice "soft touch" interiors, I've been checking out the recent model year offerings and not really noticing a difference. They LOOK a little softer, but are all hard plastic. No memory foam-thermal grafted Micro Fiber gloriousness to be found. Anybody else actually do a touch and grab on these cars and wonder where this misconception comes from?
  6. Yeah, the thing is I'm not at all sorry about that. I served 3 years in the service, and I do believe more or less in the "love it or leave it" mindset. If you hate the country you live in, my country, so much, that's fine. I'll buy the raft. I understand that disagreeing is what makes America great, but disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing drives me nuts. When it's the same people endlessly bitching about anything they see on the news, all the while doing nothing positive themselves, and simultaniously whining about having to pay taxes, and saying: "Taxes are for lemmings", it chaps my ass. They have a problem with EVERYTHING, want to contribute NOTHING. Sorry, now I'm sounding insane and angry... Deep breath... Okay, I'm a Kansas City Chiefs fan (not the Bills, thank you). That's where my screen name comes in. Now my team stinks underwater right now. Real bad. That being said, I still show up every week and make all kinds of noise for my team. Even when the General Manager is a complete idiot and the head coach has made a career out of ruining good football teams. I'm a Chiefs fan. Not a Patriots fan last year, and a Giants fan this year, but a Chiefs fan. It sure would be easier to cheer for the Giants this year, but my loyalty runs deep. As much of a Chiefs fan as I am though, I'm an American first. THAT'S my team. And I love it. Even now when it's cool to scream and moan about how our current General Manager is as bad or worse than Carl Peterson, who has one playoff victoy in 25 years at the helm of the Chiefs.
  7. Definately open on Saturday. And see... An entire post with no screaming, and you came ocross as being entirely more rational. Now we have to work on making you proud to be where you are. Sounds like you make a pretty good living under the system you criticize so much. Good for you. Hard work and determination pays off. Moral is low now, and I hate to see people lose pride in this nation when the times get tough. Do you act the same towards friends and family? Jump ship when it gets rough, or do you help out and stand by them in times of need. Your country needs your help right now. It needs all of our help. It's a time to give. Not financially alone, but morally. Buy American, be American, all that shit. It's gotten to be a political statement to buy a Japanese car nowadays. That hurts me, and I know it hurts you. The majority of people don't realise how much the big three impact our economy, and if they do, they don't care. Why? 'Cause times are tough, and they're jumpin' ship. It kills me. If you want to help America, try supporting it through the rough shit. Yes, the buyout is ugly, but damn if it didn't need to be done. Tough times now, and like I said, there are those willing to do what needs to be done to keep this giant corporation running, and those that wrinkle their noses and say "Fuck 'em." There's a difference between critisism, and constructive critisism, and then there's radicallism. We definately don't need that now, and sorry if it gets my goat when I see it.... By the way, I'm 32 years old.
  8. If you think the freedoms offered to you by this tyranny are so injust, where would you go? What foreign government gives people this long of a leash you seem to so enjoy. Where do you think these other great, free countries got their blueprints? That's right. Us(or U.S.). You need authority. Obviously you hate it. Fine. But it has to be there, and there have to be rules. Sorry. If there weren't, THEN I could see you boobytrapping your yard. You are way off the deep end, though. For the record, I'm a male who makes $30,000 a year working 55 hour weeks. My job security is whether or not I sell cars. Period. So I don't know if your marraige proposal still stands, or if you still think I have a sheltered life, but you apparently have me pegged.
  9. i think alot of the problem is, the people here bashing the Flex haven't driven one. They may have seen one in person, and may have even poked it with a stick, but probibly haven't driven one. I've driven a bunch, and been on a lot of test drives with customers. I've seen the reactions, and driven them first hand, and they are an amazing ride. Tigh, responsive, smooth, and quiet as hell. Even the base models are loaded, so yeah, it is a more upscale vehicle than Ford typically offers. Is this a mistake? Maybe, but you won't know until you drive one to see what you're missing. As for the looks being polarizing, alot of that is because it is new and different. When we got our first couple, we all took a collective step back and weren't sure. After seeing them everyday, everyone here has talked about it growing on them. Same with the Edge. Bottom line is, once the stick-poking stops, and people drive them because they've seen a few on the road, it'll be fine. Take them for what they are. They're not perfect for everyone, but as a family hauler, there's nothing better. I think Dean and myself have both compared this to the Edge launch on multiple occaisions. We were both there for the launch of both vehicles, and it feels exactly the same.
  10. You have some valid complaints, but speaking of staying on topic, you change topics mid sentance. Some of your tangents and thoughts are downright scary. Stashing your money? Stockpiling supplies? You remind me of the old episode of the twilight zone (To put it in TV terms for you.) with the guy during the cold war shoving his family in a bombshelter and guarding his family with a shotgun against rescuers until they left him alone in the shelter with his paranoia. I never said I hated you, but I'm definately not fond of someone calling my country a tyrant. I for one LOVE America, faults and all. Posting radical rants, and having others talk about joining the militia to protect themselves from the government borders on terrorism. I can see you on the news holed up in some compound, setting it on fire 'n shit. You just come across as insane and almost dangerous. I guarantee your coworkers are gonna call in the day you're let go, to protect themselves. You can be logical, and question authority. That's what America's great for. Look at California. But you can do it in a logical, calm, and rational way. Do it in a way that makes a difference for the better. Panicking doesn't help anyone, and you're panicking. As for your marraige prposal, I'm not into fat guys, Fatso. Thanks anyways. Not at all surprised that you have two wives, though.
  11. Make sure you oil your guns and set the tripwires too. Your posts WERE sounding much more rational today, but you're starting to go off the deep end again... From one lemming to another.
  12. Ok. This is too funny, but in all seriousness, you're nuts. I'm pretty sure I'm not even the first person to tell you this today. You started accusing me of calling you fat on your first post directed towards me. I never even mentioned anything about obesity. Period. Even though your screen name is "Fatso". You said you were fat, not me. I said you were CRAZY. I'm pretty sure you've proved me right by now. You've posted three rants about being fat since, and I made one comment as a result of your rant. Period. So I'm not passing judgement on you 'cause of your weight, Fatso, I'm passing judgement on you for being insane. Each one of your posts covers at least four completely unrelated topics, and you jump from one to the next mid sentence. You've ranted about everything from the Dow, to Judy Garland, to the Buffalo Bills. By the way, I hate the Bills. Glad you checked my profile, though. I also never said you were an asshole. You keep saying I call you names, but you ignore the one thing I AM calling you....Crazy. Well, I'm done for the day. I just delivered some new Fords to their happy new owners, and I'm going to go watch MNF, and lock my doors.
  13. Oooohhh!!! PANIC!!!! Get your guns oiled up and barracade the door! Them government boys are comin'! They gonna take my land, but not without a fight. You're scary, dude. I'd hate to be your pizza delivery guy. Or guys... There NOW I made a fat joke.
  14. I'm not a kid, thanks. I may not have been at Woodstock, but I'm a big boy nonetheless. Maybe it was all the extracurricular activities at the show that burned you out? :shades:
  15. Every one crazier than the last... For the record, the only one calling you fat is you, and I'm pretty sure you've already yelled at yourself for that a few times. I did love the part about a conspiracy to enact Martial Law, though. In fact everybody here got a laugh out of it. So we sit and wait for your next insane rant. They pass the time at least, but now if you'll excuse me, I've got some internet bullying to do..... And I bash you.
  16. Wow. Should I call somebody for you? Did you take your meds? You probibly boobytrap your yard, don't you? Lay off the coffee and the caps lock key, calm down, and put the safety back on before you shoot the neighbor's dog. Better? Good. Now the problem is, you have to wear clothes under your "The end is near" sandwich board and please turn the megaphone down.
  17. It looks like they took that picture in November in the "customer parking" lot at my dealership! LOL!!! Sorry... That's not really funny.
  18. Dude, are you typing this on the way to a Marylin Manson show or something? You have black eyeliner, and an anarchy symbol on your t-shirt? Don't believe the TV and the beautiful people, but if you'll excuse me I'm gonna quote Different Strokes. Disillusioned with America. That's a shock. We're in tough times, and throughout history, be it tough times financially, or tough times during war, there are those that hike up their pants and do what needs to be done, and there are those that draft dodge to stay home and cry about it. Sometimes things are tough, and you have to do things you don't like. Things that aren't easy to do. Or you can do nothing and bitch about it on the internet. Now if you'll excuse me, I think the prince of darkness is on Dr. Phil today...
  19. Done. In my region, we have a $3,000 standard rebate, and $750 loyalty for owning a '95 or newer Ford. What color would you like?
  20. :blah: :blah: :boring: :blah: :blah:
  21. Look ata the way the steering column comes through the dash to gently apply the airbag to your face. Now that is an effective energy management crumple zone. After the accident the steering wheel falls off to allow for an easy exit ala NASCAR style. Awesome. The steering wheel uppercuts you in a front end collision to punish you for buying that J*p shit. (I censored the more offensive word. Don't want any complaints around here.) I'm just a little upset that I never found the 24 page Toyota bashfest until now.
  22. I think it looks a TON like an Escape. Right up to the headlights. We are the small SUV leader...
  23. If Toyota does employee pricing, is it calculated in Yen???
  24. Thing looks awesome. Think about it, too. Between C/V's, Malibus, Chargers, etc., there are a ton of Police cruisers on the roads. With auto sales being so slow, there is a huge, and more importantly, STABLE market to be cornered here. Could be a goldmine if it works. The only other thing you could do is follow it up with a capable, purpose built 4X4. Take sales away from the Blazer, Expedition, etc. Hmmm...
