  1. You can periodically check the tallies on the uaw ford department Facebook page.
  2. I cannot believe anyone would believe this. Why would mullaly call people "blowhards". Stupid post.
  3. Just cause you joined the forum doesn't mean you are actually a Ford Employee. Anyone can join the Forum site. This section is suppose to be for Ford employees only. I didnt say everything good happens because of the union workers, and I didn't say everything bad is cause of management. I said we gave up certain benefits to HELP this company survive. To HELP avoid bankruptcy and government loans. Ford cut many jobs. Union workforce was cut by more than half, and I also know salary lost many jobs. Ford is leaner company now. And the company doesn't have to worry about certain legacy costs such as retiree medical, or new two tier hires getting a pension. Things are good now, but our CEO, president and other big shots a making millions on bonuses and getting raises, why not everyone get little raise?
  4. I'll keep in mind of the fact, that not only did we give up pay to help the company survive. That we also lost tens of thousands of jobs. Its been emply promises after promises from the company. For example ohio assembly, they promised that plant jobs last contract, and if I am not mistaken cause I use to work at that plant. Repromised on the modifcations couple years ago to bring a new product by end of contract. Now they are recommitting what they already promised. Now the public thinks they are going to invest and bring in 12000 jobs. Yeah Right! And they want to try to sell us contract with two seperate pay scales. Then try to make the public think we are getting $10,000 if we ratify when about $3700 will be from part of our profit sharing. Plus international wants us to pay 10% of my profit sharing to fund VEBA when it was underfunded from what Ford agree to pay in the first place. Hey King, How about you guys at international AND the Local Leaders take a paycut. Then take part of my union dues I pay every month and put a few bucks from that into the VEBA. IF WE have to sacrifice, how about you? My vote is NO, why? Two Tier workers? I don't feel it's right a fellow union brother and sister is making less for the same job, while are ceo and presidents are being awarded multi million dollar bonuses. One other thing, I am sick of the be happy you have a job comments. Especially from friends, media, and people who post on this forum. If you are not an employee, don't post in this section!!!!!
  5. Where is the language for the max number of two tier workers the company can have? I dont know if I overlooked.
  6. I live in Dundee and work on C-Crew. I carpool with another guy from Ida. If you still are interested in wanting to carpool. Send me a Personal message.
  7. Is anyone else having problems today trying to connect to at.ford.com? Everytime I try to go to website, explorer tells me at.ford.com not responding? Just curious if anyone else is having problems?
  8. WOW!!!! 10 million. WOW that is a lot compared to the truck plants and car plants. :slap:
  9. Why do you hold on to the hope that Ford is not gonna get rid of ACH locations. I posted info on this plant last year. Angstrom bought the plant. How do I know? I have a family member who is management at Angstrom. He and I both worked at Ypsilanti before it closed. He took the buyout to become an engineer, I transferred to another facility. He in a way helped convince the owner of Angstrom to buy the Ypsi plant because it was for sell, because Angstrom wanted a bigger facility.Ford sold Ypsilanti plant to Angstrom. Plus they tore down the old building and the power house. This is where a new parking lot is going to exist.
  10. Can anyone help me on unemployment for the week of layoff at DTP. Question is: Can I claim in Michigan or do I need to file in my former state. I transferred from out of state back in Sept. Website hasn't been helpful. I've been trying to call unemployment( Can't get through always try back later), but I was able to contact someone in claims they said I should be eligible but wait my 2 weeks and call marvin. . If claim doesn't process because of eligibility, then file former state. If I do that I have to file unemployment application then wait another week before claiming. On top of that it would be my waiting week period in that state before I can print my paper work to turn into labor, so there is another week added on, that would be 4 weeks. Can anyone offer any info for me? One more fact, I was layoff at my former plant two weeks prior to transferring her, so I don't know how that effects filing in michigan.
  11. I thought you couldn't bump low seniority in zone unless you were offered out of zone. Anyone got facts on inzone bumping? Plus isn't all the Ohio locations considered 1 zone?
  12. There are always gonna be the employees who are gonna complain about $5,000 not being enough after all we sacrificed. It is still $5,000 more in my pocket. After years for small profit sharing or no profit sharing, it is a positive for me. It's great we are getting $5,000.
  13. LMAO, You won't be coming over to take the best of the worst jobs here. You will be coming to available work. Whatever job is open, thats where you will go. Welcome to Assembly work. Only until a good job posting comes up. Good luck if any gets posted.
  14. Sorry no help here. I'm looking for one also. I'm driving from Dundee.
  15. You will find out why it sucks so bad here. Parts Plants are nothing compared to assembly plants. Believe me. I'm from a parts plant before transferring to assembly. Soak up that gravy job before you get here. Now for some of your questions. I haven't seen any bus to take you to the plant. But you do have a nice walk. "The Green Mile". As for non-Fords, Yeah you have to park in the back of the parking lot. There are green parking spaces for owners of non-Ford vehicles. As for some of your earlier questions if I recall. I work in Trim. We have a 20 and 10 min break before lunch. And a 20 min break after lunch. As for chairs, ha, enough said. We can talk on the line, and alot of us wear headsets. Phone and texting, goodluck finding time if you are on the line. The tour is only runs through the Trim Department. Good luck
  16. Does anybody have any information or anyone have heard if the list for job bids for DTP on who is going been posted at any of the plants?
  17. Our union rep was under the impression that there was no moving allowance because there was still people on layoff in Michigan. Which makes no sense to me because if there still is people on ilo, why not offer them the jobs first.
  18. I put in for the dearborn bid because I want to move back to Michigan and its closer to my family. But I feel that if there is still workers on ilo in-zone in Michigan, they should get the offer to go before anyone. Not open up the bids company wide like my union rep said they have to now. I'm still working, my other union brothers and sisters who are on ilo should get the right first. Does nyone about how many workers are still on ilo in Michigan?
  19. One of our commiteemen claimed it was because they had employees on ilo in Michigan. To me that still makes no sense at all. Why offer to out of zone if there still is people out of work.
  20. Posted in Zone 3, 4 and 6-30. 100 job openings. I know they posted it Monday at Sandusky. Here at Ohio Assembly, it was posted on Tuesday.
  21. I have a question if anyone can help. Are there still quite a few people layoff in the Michigan zone? If so about how many? And why would they post job openings in out of zone plants for Dearborn Rouge site if there still is workers on ILO?
  22. Plant was sold to another company. I believe the old building and the powerhouse is suppose to be torn down. Leaving just the building that was the starter area and COP. I have a family who works for the company that bought the building and he is in charge of getting it ready.
  23. sorry, but those dates all fall on Tuesdays. Plus the weeks on OHAP are the same weeks we had off last year if I remember right.
