  1. "We have conclusive proof that Ford is doubling down on its aluminum trucks, going the F-150 route on its all-new Super Duty pickups." More at the article: http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2014/06/spied-2016-ford-super-duty-with-video.html Video with magnet test: at the link "When we caught the first Super Duty prototypes testing back in mid-March, many analysts expressed surprise that prototypes had appeared so early and out of nowhere. Our analysis suggests that Ford has accelerated development on the next-generation Super Duty to make the most of its 'aluminum edge' — technology that Ford executives were touting as 'game changing' at the F-150 debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. If competitors are planning to counter Ford with aluminum-intensive trucks of their own, Ford's decisive move to create an aluminum Super Duty will help it leverage its current advantage as much as possible before competitors can react."

  3. Post here: http://www.f150online.com/forums/2009-2014-f-150-105/ and include pics. You'll get an answer.
  4. Yeah. Order date starts on July 16th so the order guide should be out around that time.

  6. Ford engineers say close to 30 mpg and on less expensive fuel.
  7. It's not conservatives or the Tea Party who are making same sex marriage an issue. It's not even same sex marriage that is being debated, it's the constitutionality of traditional marriage that is being debated and it's not conservatives who are going to the courts and activist judges to legislate behavior from the bench. I'm a pretty much live and let live guy except when it comes to Constitution. Yesterday it was abortion, the day after it's rights for terrorists, the day after that it's the right to public education for illegal aliens, and on and on and on and now is. The Constitution doesn't have anything to do with sex of any kind, homosexual, heterosexual, etc. You cannot claim to be for the Constitution if you agree with what the federal courts are doing with rulings on same sex marriage, even if you agree with same sex marriage. It just seems with very few exceptions that we are being pushed by the Congress, the President and the courts into a top down authoritarian government that nationalizes all of our decisions. There may be some of you who believe in not legislating behavior and the privacy of the bedroom, but this is a statement that means nothing. You can't commit incest in the privacy of your bedroom. You can't cook drugs in the privacy of your bedroom. There are a lot of things you can't do in the privacy of your bedroom or otherwise that are criminal. The question is, who gets to decide? One Federal Judge in San Francisco, or the people of California? 5 "lawyers" on the Supreme Court or the American people? As far as blacks using separate water fountains, that's a matter of segregation and racism which is not the issue here. The problem with the same sex marriage argument is that it's not an equal rights issue, and it can be used for any kind of marriage: man and dog, one man and 500 illegal aliens, one man and 20 wives, one man and his children, etc. If the states cannot define marriage between a man and woman, then it cannot define it PERIOD. Some of you may want same sex marriage and agree with the court decisions, but you need to be careful because you won't agree on their next decision (sex or otherwise) and then you won't be able to do a damn thing about it.
  8. Those who oppose same-sex marriage are a diverse group. Some object for religious and moral reasons. Some object for federalism reasons (meaning we have a constitution and our nation's biggest issues shouldn't be decided by the courts or 5 "lawyers" on the Supereme Court unless it is clearly a constitutional issue). And some object for historical reasons; etc. For conservatives who believe in federalism and the constitution, it comes down to it's not a equal rights issue, so why should courts intervene? The Tea Party isn't forcing the "gay marriage crap". Gay marriage isn't even a major tea party issue. Tea Party stands for taxed enough already. Same sex marriage has been put up to vote and the people have been overwhelmingly against it. So who is forcing the gay marriage crap? It's the elite, the courts and maybe the Vermont assembly. If you are gay, nobody cares. If you like same sex marriage, that is a political debate that should be decided politically. Maybe in 10 years you can convince enough people to vote for it. In the meantime people should be free to go at their own pace. But instead people run to courts and try to impose their will, same sex marriage, etc. If you are going to run to the courts, then why have state govn't, why have Congress, why have a President? Just let the courts decide everything! Do you realiaze how dangerous that is? It's not a matter of what you like (you like gay marriage), the equal protection clause doesn't say the "the soically liberal promotion clause" or the "fiscally conservative but socially liberal promotion clause" or the "radical socialism clause" where people can force their economic, social and cultural agendas into the Constitution for the courts to decide.
  9. And the recalls keep rolling in! 4th Silverado recall this month. ROLLIN, ROLLIN, ROLLIN, ROLLING!!!!!!! GM recalls 500 new pickups, SUVs over airbags Fred Meier, USA TODAY 8:19 p.m. EDT May 23, 2014 http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/2014/05/23/gm-pickup-suv-airbag-recall/9509409/ Reuss told Barclays analyst Brian Johnson on Thursday that the flurry of recall announcements resulting from this reexamination effort might continue through mid-summer.
  10. I'll talk EPA ratings. Here you stated you lost 1.5 mpg due to the larger heavier tires you put on. http://www.f150forum.com/f38/new-bfgs-285-55-20-a-202618/index2/#post2570574 Here you stated you have average 13.6 50/50 city and hwy drving. http://www.f150forum.com/f118/2016-raptor-spy-shots-258855/index3/ 13.6 + 1.5 = 15.1 mpg EPA rating is 11 to 17 city and 15 to 23 hwy. http://www.f150forum.com/attachments/f38/115025d1338636926t-what-did-you-pay-your-new-2011-2012-f150-window-sticker.jpg Your mpg is not the greatest, but it is within the EPA estimates. Changing your tires and driving style would probably help a lot.
  11. What's wrong with the name? eco*BOOST* just means the power and torque of larger engines, but with better fuel economy.
  12. The EcoBoost name is cool. Chevy guys are very jealous specially when it comes to the F-150 EcoBoost.
  13. Look more closely and don't try to dismiss it. There are recent deals in there, too. The "2014 Prices" thread started in November 2013 and ended in February 2014 so that's not a year ago. And the invoice thread goes to present day. It may be too late now for some dealers or not how it works at your dealership, but that's not the point, there are deals. 5/9/2014: McCombs Ford West, San Antonio, TX. sells for about a grand over invoice. Got mine at invoice after a little persuasion lol. Talk to AJ and tell him Joe (2014 Black SCrew) sent you. 5/9/2014: Blue Flame Metallic, black leather. 801A with remote start, sony, nav, moon roof, spray in liner, front/rear view camera. In the lot , selling at invoice. at dick smith ford. http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f212/raptor-dealers-selling-near-invoice-18117/index102.html
  14. It may be late in the game now, but go to the Ford Raptor forum for the invoice thread and also in the professional forum there is Harley and other dealers taking orders at/near invoice. Raptor Dealers Selling Near Invoice (100 pages) http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f212/raptor-dealers-selling-near-invoice-18117/ Matt at Horizon in Seattle "Thanks to folks on here who found this gem! I talked to 5 dealers here, none wanted to order a Raptor. They all wanted to push me into one with the options I did not want and charge MSRP OR BETTER. I emailed Matt, and the deal was done. One day, $500 over invoice. Outstanding." 3/25/14 Prices being paid for 2014 raptorhttp://www.fordraptorforum.com/f212/prices-being-paid-2014-raptor-29110/
  15. There may have facilities here in the US, but the heaquarters will be elsewhere. And they just changed the sign out in front of the Chrysler buildings to say FCA. So it seems like Chrysler is going away. Fiat acquired 100% of Chrysler and changed the name and logo and now has a new headquarters in London, so it seems like FCA will be the company now. "The new FCA logo was created by the Italian branding company Robilant Associati,[9][10] ending the use of the Fiat SpA logo and Chrysler pentastar logo for group branding" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_Chrysler_Automobiles Slowly they will be getting rid of the Chrysler company and you'll be buying from FCA. and Chrysler will just be one of the brand names. They already got rid of Dodge with the Ram.

  17. Marchionne also said investors overreacted when they sold Fiat Chrysler shares after the carmaker's presentation of an ambitious five-year plan. The company's shares fell almost 12 percent on Wednesday as analysts questioned whether Marchionne would manage to multiply sales, raise profit and slash debt, while investing 48 billion euros ($67 billion) in a global expansion led by the Jeep, Alfa Romeo and Maserati brands - and without divestments or a share issue. http://www.autonews.com/article/20140508/OEM/140509814/fiat-chrysler-headquarters-will-be-in-london-marchionne-says
  18. Will Fiat Chrysler do a better job delivering on Tuesday’s promises than it did on the five-year plan Marchionne delivered in Auburn Hills on Nov. 4, 2009? Some of those cars and trucks never made it off the drawing board.
  19. If the Ranger ever came back it better do way better than 30 mpg because the 2015 F-150 will be near 30 mpg.
  20. After being outsold by Ram last month by a few units, Silverado is back and outsold Ram by just over 6k units. Silverado 42,755 Ram 36,674 F-Series 63, 387 Sierra 17,246 F-Series outsells Silverado and Sierra combined.
  21. I like it. The people on YouTube like it.
