  1. More like WAS a national negotiator. He wasn't "invited" back for this one FYI
  2. I had a Taurus once as a loaner car. I hated that thing. In fact that alone was enough to make me not even consider ever owning one. I wasnt comfortable using it because it was actually to high for me so I had to position my foot to the right of it which made me feel even more uncomfortable.
  3. Took delivery today...no update needed...will get pic posted soon if it ever stops raining
  4. Could I please get a status on my truck...this is the info I got from my dealer. Dealer #48F556 Order #5774 VIN 1FTEX1EP1FFA19630 Thank-you cyberdman
  5. Given all the trouble you've had with them fixing, rather not fixing, the park assist. If it were me, I would be finding a different dealership to look at my car. From everything you posted about it so far one has to believe the "wrench monkeys" at this one appear to be some of the duller knives in the drawer.
  6. The article clearly stated..... "Ford says the 29% improvement compares the 2.7-liter turbocharged engine to a 5-liter V-8. It's a fair comparison, the automaker says, because owners will see similar performance." Although they did conveniently leave out which 5.0 it was being compared to. To me it really doesn't matter which engine its compared to or what percent increase they say it gets...it's still a big let down when it comes down to the actual numbers especially when you consider when they first announced the trucks release there were rumors of it being low 20's city and upwards of 30 on the highway. Combine that with the fact that the cars, or rather TANKS, of the late 60's early 70's got 13-15 mpg....the percentage of the increase in fuel economy over 40 years by ALL the manufacturers is pretty damn pathetic.
  7. Maybe it's not either/or....it could be this/or that......... Sry...couldn't resist....lol
  8. Ya I did that. Dealer said not to put to much trust in it with it being a new style truck. He said it's hard to tell what the residual will be on it yet. If I was buying it would be a good estimater but with a lease the payment is really dependant on the residual value at lease end.
  9. The page loads for me but the build link doesnt work. Was hoping to get an idea on what my payments will be on the one I ordered...lol
  10. I've been in 4 different plants in 17 years....I always thought that was standard operating procedure....
  11. Thats what I'm trying to do but I dont think they fully get it...started out with yes we can do that...they had to call Ford Credit yesterday to verify I am working with them on getting one...he then tells me after I order it this week they will have a DORA number for me to give Ford Credit next month that will show I have one on ordered. I'm think I will order it and let them know up front that I will also be letting a couple other dealerships know what it is I ordered and if they get one in before the one I ordered is being built than that will be the one I get.
  12. With the truck being their bread and butter vehicle I cant imagine them releasing them until they meet their "ready to ship" standard (whatever that is) no matter who it was going to. A recall of any kind will be met with more criticism than any recall GM or Toyota has ever met with. The critics of the new aluminum body, and of Ford in general, are just waiting in the bushes ready to scream like little school girls at the first sign of anything short of perfect. I was at MAP when they launched the CMax and I can say those first vehicles that rolled out to the public had been gone thru with a fine tooth comb several times. If they found something wrong on one car then all of them were checked. I think I would have gladly taken one of those over the 2000th one that went down the line. Despite all that, I get the whole concept behind their train of thought. It's just as someone who stopped leasing trucks 7 years ago due to gas mileage and is extending his lease a month at a time, waiting on the new truck, its especially irritating to be told their finally going to hit the lots early October but you cant get one like you want till late January or February.
  13. How in the hell does building dealer lot orders before fulfilling customers custom orders have a damn thing to do with the quality of the truck. Who its built for is irrelevant. The truck is still going to be "out there". They might as well say this way if we send any shit out the door hopefully some of them will still be on the dealer lots and not in the customers driveway.
  14. Any idea when the site will get updated so we can mess around with the build your own option ???
