  1. I want to say that fuse 29 is for Explorer as well. Check your manual I know it's in there.
  2. Bump... Cyberdman, thanks for the last reply, hopefully this one comes with some good news... Dealer: F41311 Order No: 1517 Explorer Black XLT 4wd 202A package ordered 11/24 Thanks again for your help!
  3. I test drove both the non EB flex and the explorer. While the Flex seemed underpowered the explorer definitely did not. Both were obviously large vehicles, I guess the extra 30ish hp makes a big difference.
  4. Well that's weird... Black on Black XLT 202A package. Order signed on Nov 24th, not sure if that is the date the dealer submitted it. Thanks!
  5. Hello, Please track anything available with this information? Dealer: F41311 Order No: 1517 Thanks!
  6. It seems like you have more of a concern of implementing technology vs realizing that the American population as a whole needs to just be freakin' educated. How about turning off dancing with the stars and opening a book, or closing bejeweled on freaking facebook and looking up something of interest. I think this country is going to miss the boat on a lot of things just because people are too afraid that the "average Joe" doesn't understand.
  7. Happy that someone gets theirs delivered while the snow is still flying! Enjoy!! Makes me want mine that much more.
  8. What model did you order in August? Rumor is they've been building nothing but Limited's for customers and are just now getting to the XLT's...kind of doubt it's credibility, but that's what's keeping me from storming the dealership right now.
  9. Sigh...nice to know someone shares my pain, but at the same time it sucks there's not much that can be done. Someone mentioned just buying it from another dealer, but aren't you held to the fact that you signed the order sheet from the first dealer? I should probably stop reading about it so it gets out of my mind, but I'm with you on the snow...having it might actually make me enjoy the cold for once.
  10. Valid argument, but you would think that you're used to having to read the fine print by now. There's no reason Canada shouldn't be included on something like Sync though...missing an entire market.
  11. Hopefully they come with ejecter seats so right before you get hit by a real sized car (not a matchbox) you can safely land outside the crushed pile of sh...... Maybe Wal-mart will carry these too?
  12. I've test driven both the 2010 flex and the 2011 explorer, and I have to say that the 2011 explorer does knock the flex's "socks" off. You cannot deny the quality of either though, Ford has done a really great job with both.
  13. Probably someone for the Federal gov't driving up the bids...
  14. I for one can claim to be part of the statistic...a foreign car owner, who because of all of Ford's recent improvements gave them a shot...and well I'm now mad at myself if this is what I've been missing. Good job Ford!
  15. Not a terrible car, from my experience the wind noise is ridiculous though.
  16. I really wish people would get off the SUV vs CUV comparisons for this vehicle. Does it, or does it not do the job you want from your vehicle? Should be enough to ask. There's also never any mention that the GC is only a 5 seater. I also think that the media is scared to hype of the SYNC features because of the demographic that is most likely buying these vehicles is still technologically inept. Other than that, I don't think Ford could have asked for better reviews across the board for the Explorer. The only thing that is going to slow them down is gas creeping back over $3/gal...to combat this, I think the US needs to start mentioning Gallons per 100miles. Makes the mpg disparity much less of an issue when looking at it that way. my 2 cents
  17. Having the ability to option out the way you want is great, but it would be nice if there could be options added to every trim level. An example would be adding the Sony sound system, captain chairs, adaptive cruise control, etc to an XLT. It is nice to not be locked into a full price model, but to get to pick and choose your way there. It would have also been nice to get some "whiff" of what the pricing will be on the 2.0 eco. Might help people decide whether or not to wait.
  18. I can't think of another item other than possibly buying a house that comes with as much anticipation...having a way to track it, even if it updated once a week would be AWESOME!!!
  19. Just curious to anyone who received a VIN/build date on your 2011 explorer, when did you put your order in? Curious to see how quickly they're running through the orders...
  20. I thought this paragraph helped as far as understanding what the different modes do as far as TC and throttle go... "Having already used the normal on-road setting as well as the Mud and Ruts setting for our off-road excursion, Ford arranged some fun in a sand pit to demonstrate the difference between the Sand and Snow settings. With the snow mode engaged the truck limits throttle, dials up the traction control and then takes them both to the extreme limits of boring (and safety) when you add in a lot of steering. Conversely, the Sand mode limits the invasiveness of the traction control and allows for plenty of throttle and steering, so you can hoon-it-up, driving the truck with the rear tires.
