  1. Thanks for checking on my truck Cyberdman! It finally came in yesterday and I picked it up this morning. Here is a pic, sorry it's a little dirty, we had freezing rain today. Thanks again, your service is much appreciated!
  2. Hi Cyberdman, Hope you had a relaxing Thanksgiving. Could you please let me know what's going on with my new truck? I've had a couple ETA's come and go. My VIN is 1FT8W3BT5FEC00779. As always, thank you for your time. It's much appreciated!
  3. That is what I understood too. Certain regions of the US, including Canada, automatically get the supplemental heat and block heater.
  4. I think shipping really depends on the carrier. Mine has supposedly been "in-transit" for about a week and my dealer is only a couple hundred miles from the factory. Mine was built 11/17. I think my shipping got slowed down by the holiday.
  5. Cyberdman, thanks for your help with tracking my new FX4. Here are some pics.
  6. Good morning cyberdman. Thanks for the previous information. Could I get Monday morning update, please? VIN: 1FTFW1ET6CFC32377 Thanks again!
  7. Hi Cyberdman, Could you please track my F150 order when you have a chance. Info from DORA is: VIN: 1FTFW1ET6CFC32377 Dealer: 47B651 (Coughlin Ford) Order: 3094 Thanks so much!
  8. Yeah, it's not updating anything. The system doesn't recieve updates over the air. This is a system crash and reboot sequence. I had mine do it one time since I've owned it (still on v.2.4 too) because it wasn't playing nice with my iPhone 4. If your patient and just let it do its thing, it'll come back up on its own without much issue. Really no need to pull over on the road and mess with it.
  9. Make the reservation online and tell them its the new Ford Flex. I've rented open uhaul trailers twice with my new Explorer this way. One other time at a different location I had a guy call me out on the Explorer and wouldn't let the trailer go. I ended up going home and grabbing my neighbors Toyota, renting the trailer and taking it home to hook it to the Explorer. I used it all day and took it back with the Explorer, the check-in guy said "hey, your not allowed to pull this trailer with an Explorer". I told him but I did it anyways and look, I brought your trailer back in one piece. He just looked at me and walked away.
  10. The string of numbers at the bottom of your sticker: 1201104142131. The 1 at the beginning means scheduled to be built, the date follows that number. After it is built, the 1 in front of that date will change to a 2. Not sure how long exactly it takes to build, my Explorer started production on 3/22/11 and the sync software was installed on 3/24/11, so I'm guessing maybe 2 to 3 days on the line.
  11. Fred, here is your window sticker: WINDOW STICKER Looks like it's scheduled for 4/12 and is being built in Kansas City.
  12. According to your window sticker, it is scheduled to be built 4/14/11.
  13. It looks as if he has taken a break from all this already and I don't blame him. I've read numerous threads where people are bumping their updates like every other day as well as breaking some of his other rules. It's ridiculous that people can't read the rules and follow them, it's really a simple request. Maybe people don't understand that Cyberdman doesn't work for Ford Customer Service and he's not obligated in any way to help track a vehicle. READ THE RULES PEOPLE Hopefully you haven't lost his kindness and valuable service permanently.
  14. I work in the plastics industry, and trust me, there's less than $2 worth of materials in making that thing..... the big cost comes from the tooling for the injection molding machine.
  15. It has to be one of the options you ordered that's holding it up. Mine was built on Feb.22 (sync installed Feb. 24) and I've been driving mine for over 2 weeks now. I ordered a Limited (300a) 4wd w/ moonroof, tow, pwr. liftgate & Nav. Mine was built and delivered to my dealer in Ohio in 8 days (Mar. 3).
  16. Thanks for all your help in tracking my Explorer Cyberdman. It arrived on March 3, pretty quick delivery for a Feb. 22 build.
  17. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely look into it, right now they do seem like they're aimed too low.
  18. Here is a link to the fordparts site for the visor with homelink: Fordparts.com '11 Explorer Visor w/ homelink Make sure you check different dealers too, that part has been priced as low as $225 and as high as $330. Each dealer on there charges a different price. Hope that helps you a little bit.
  19. Pre-vacation Bump....... VIN: 1FMHK8F8XBGA30914 Thanks Cyberdman, enjoy your vacation
  20. Ok, so this whole rebate thing has been driving me nuts and I just had to get a final ruling on it so I wouldn't have any surprises when my truck comes in. I had some spare time yesterday so I went and sat down with my salesman to figure out what was what. Well, I had his manager do what you said, run a compatibility check on all the rebates I was promised and low and behold, they were wrong..... the 2 $750 rebates can not be used together. You can imagine my disappointment when he told me, it was like some took the $750 right out of my pocket. Anyways, I've bought 5 new Ford vehicles from him in the last 5 years and they already sold my trade-in, so he wanted to make it right. So, instead of getting the extra 750 off the deal, they're going to give me 750 in "dealer cash" that I can use for service or accessories in their parts dept. I guess I can live with that, I'm sure I can find something in there for the Explorer or Fusion. I want to thank all of you for having this discussion, it ended up saving me some frustration on delivery day. I want that to be a happy day, not filled with disappointment over not getting a rebate I was expecting.
  21. Have you considered going aftermarket HID bulbs? Most of them plug right in to the factory harness, you'd just need to find a place to mount the ballast / igniter box. I'm considering this for my '10 Fusion Sport and my '11 Explorer Lmtd when it comes in. You can check out ddm tuning and kryptonbulbs for more info, both of those companies have gotten good reviews for service on many forums.
  22. That pretty much falls in line with the rest of my Monday . I initially had a build date of Feb. 08 and an eta of Feb. 28, guess I got bumped. Thanks so much for the service you are providing to us.
  23. Hey Cyberdman, Could you please track my Explorer when you have some time to spare. VIN: 1FMHK8F8XBGA30914 Thanks so very much, I really appreciate it. ~Tmilicia
