  1. Well, considering you live in the area, and its one of the larger companies, that's not surprising lol It also seems that any truck sourced from KC had an unsually long dealy - which is anything with an 8 box and all FX2 models if I remember correctly
  2. Destination charges are always included - they're actually part of the dealer's invoice price. So is the fuel surcharge, and advertising surcharge - these all go back to Ford Corporate, not the dealer. I believe the dealers are limited to $75 in additional fees over the X-plan price. The $750 coupon is compatible with the X-Plan - here's the fine print from the one Ford just sent me (AGAIN) lol Incentive protection seems to only be available from the largest dealers - I'm not sure why. None of the small local dealers would do it, but all of the large dealers in the Minneapolis area would do it - and all of them said it was actually a Ford corporate program that any dealer could do. Just seems the local dealers didn't want to fill out the paperwork or something.
  3. I believe the dealer can reprogram your instrument panel cluster to reflect having a 36 gallon fuel tank if you swap it out - its listed as a configurable option on the workshop manual, but it doesn't really make clear if it can be switched or not.
  4. It was built two days after mine in the same plant heading to the same dealer and it hasn't arrived yet? That's just crazy. And a picture of the truck with its bed liner
  5. One one of these forums someone swapped a 36 gallon tank from a wrecked 2010 model into his 2011 Ecoboost - fit just fine, absolutely no problems with the swap.
  6. So not only is your VIN # one number off from mine, you've got the same name - Eric haha Anyway, I'm actually very happy with the mileage - the Ranger I traded in couldn't touch this. I'm just griping about the 26 gallon fuel tank - which I suppose I will live with Post your whole VIN so we can all drool over your window sticker lol
  7. I returned the Bedrug to Amazon - it showed up ripped, torn, and badly wrinkled and covered with dirt and grass and missing all of the velcro and any instructions. Obviously, used. The Sportliner available from the Ford Parts department is the same thing, made by the same company but with a Ford logo in the front. I ordered one of those and had it installed by Tousley ford in St Paul, MN - absolutely love it. Also had the BC3Z "RPO" Plug 'n Play remote start installed at the same time. Same as factory with the new IKT keys and everything, I'm very happy now As for how I like it - it's got insane power, as I'm sure everyone else knows, but it does like to drink the gasoline down. I wish Ford would put the larger tank in the things... I had to fill up so many times one day on a longer trip that the bank turned my credit card off thinking someone had stolen it due to the excessive number of $1 transactions. Maybe I can talk the service guys at Benna into swapping in a 36 gallon tank from a wrecked F-150, if I can find one has your truck arrived yet?
  8. I think all 4x4 models get the 36 gallon tank except for the Ecoboost (No one can explain why)
  9. After spending so much time looking under F-150's at a Ford dealer that one of the sales staff asked if I worked there, the only difference I could find in Max-Tow vs. Non-max-Tow trucks with the 3.73 rear end - the trailer hitch is rated 500 pounds higher on the max tow trucks. Couldn't figure out any other difference.
  10. It can be turned off... from page 188 of the manual: Note: If you are using MyKey™, the Belt-Minder cannot be disabled. Also, if the Belt-Minder has been previously disabled, it will be re-enabled after the use of MyKey™. Refer to MyKey™ in the Locks and security chapter. 1. Turn the ignition switch to the on position. DO NOT START THE ENGINE. 2. Wait until the safety belt warning light turns off. (Approximately one minute) • Step 3 must be completed within 30 seconds after the safety belt warning light turns off. 3. For the seating position being disabled, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt three times, ending in the unbuckled state. • After Step 3, the restraint system warning light (airbag light) will be turned on for three seconds. 4. Within approximately seven seconds of the light turning off, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt. • This will disable the Belt-Minder feature for that seating position if it is currently enabled. As confirmation, the restraint system warning light will flash four times per second for three seconds. • This will enable the Belt-Minder feature for that seating position if it is currently disabled. As confirmation, the restraint system warning light will flash four times per second for three seconds, followed by three seconds with the light off, then followed by the restraint system warning light flashing four times per second for three seconds again.
  11. Plastic insert is available but it's a dealer item - http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/GfaWeb/catalog.do?prodInfo=F-150~2011~AL3Z_9900038_BB
  12. Wow heesman, that is a small world. Did you order the same XLT with off-road package? I'm having Pomp's tire swap the A/T michelins out for some all-season Firestones - he thinks I might see a 1-2 MPG improvement by having the much less aggressive tread. Around town fuel economy has been awesome, 15-16 MPG for city stuff and around 20 for anything on the backroads, but get out on the interstate and it goes back down to 16-17. I also ordered the BedRug bedliner from Amazon.com
  13. Blend is the day that the vehicle receives its production date - or the 'lock-in' date. After order is blended, you can't make any changes. The build date is the production date or the day that the vehicle will actually be built. Blend date shows up in the box under the VIN# barcode, and is usually about 1 week before the production date, in the bottom right corner.
  14. Roll into the throttle instead of stomping it to the floor when you try it
  15. Well, the Ecoboost is sitting down at the local Ford dealer right now - and I'm going to pick it up as soon as they finish their PDI. Hopefully I'll have it sitting out front by Wednesday evening Sorry for bad picture quality, it was starting to snow when I took them
  16. I've seen 6.82 seconds posted on various websites
  17. Showed up at the dealer today - either picking it up today or tomorrow depending on how the blizzard goes. Sorry the pictures are a bit blurry, the blizzard was just starting when i took them.
  18. I live in a smaller city and found that the dealers in the major metro area about 3 hours away were much more willing to negotiate than the local guys.
  19. Coal-Fired steam turbine electric generators are THAT efficient? Wow.
  20. I hear Chrysler / Fiat is no longer going to be allowed to call the PT Cruiser a "Light-Duty Truck" - such a shame lol
  21. My F150 was ordered on 02/07/11, it was built 03/07/11, and it shipped on 03/08/11 - hasn't shown up yet though. ETA the last time I checked was this coming Saturday.
  22. I actually got a $750 private cash coupon in my E-mail yesterday - Good for any Ford vehicle except the high-end stuff like the Raptor. It's got my name and address on it when I click the link. I'm not really sure how I got the coupon - it's not the email I gave Ford when I ordered the F-150.
  23. It looks like all the plans for the smaller F-100 have been shelved, with Ford figuring anyone that had the Ranger and still wants a truck will step up to the F-150. I wish they'd make one.
  24. it must have been one of those fully automatic car washes that grab the car by the wheels and pull it through
