Wife and I are super excited as we put the order in for our '14 this past Saturday. After much debate, we actually went with Sunset as the color, and I think we will be very happy after seeing several Escapes in the same color before ordering. Details are in my signature on the options, but now the wait begins! Last time I ordered a car was my 2002 Mustang GT, so its been awhile since I've gone through the order and wait process. Can't wait to join the Fusion community!

My wife and I just ordered our 2014 SE today and the sales guy noticed that some of the codes changed, so maybe it was updated. Last one I printed was April 19th.

I'm guessing he means to put tape below the light lenses so when you pull them off, they don't scratch the paint just below the lenses.

Even if this is a Fusion ST mule, how long would it be till production? Maybe 2016 MY? I would love to wait for an ST Fusion, but my current car is on its last legs and I probably wouldn't be able to afford a low 30k ST in the near future.

I test drove the gas powered fusion and an energi as well. It may be the best driving hybrid plugin, but the experience was completely different between the two. Not saying it was bad, they just have different personalities.

Man, I must be blind but it was less Blue than I was hoping for. To my eye, it definitely has more green tones in it than I was expecting but it is blue.

Well...went to the local dealer today that got a Sunset and Darkside Explorer in this last week to try and do some deciding. Lets say that nothing has been decided. Its driving me crazy. My wife really likes them both, but likes the Sunset more, which I didn't see coming. Dark side lives up to its name. Very Dark, but I like the uniqueness of it. I'm just worried the Sunset is going to be a dated color in two to three years. Here they are, any opinions are welcome!

I agree, but its still nice to have. I use the MRT hood struts on my Mustang and love them.

Is this a big enough reason to avoid the current generation 2.0 EB?

Is it standard on those cars when they have a manual transmission? I've never paid attention to that, so that's why I ask.

You would have to wait for 2014's if you ordered at this point, which puts you at August for delivery at the soonest.

Funny thing is that I have rented both a 13 Fusion and Charger recently and the Sirius reception was much better in the Charger. Maybe its just random, but it was noticeably better in the Charger.

This topic has been beaten to death more times than I have been able to read. I would love the 5-door, but american majority does not.

Just a question. Besides making yourself more angry about it, you know it isn't on the car, so what good will it do? Do you just want to build the case so you can get your deposit back?

Hmm. Thanks for the info. It looks more royal blue and less grey than I thought it would. Looks like a good color though. Now my wife and I will have to wait to see one of the Tauruses or explorers at the dealer before ordering our Fusion in either color.

I think I just got thrown a bone by Ford. Looks like the 2014 Fusion PDF has the rendering of Darkside on the car: http://media.ford.com/images/10031/2014_Fusion.pdf

And I think the 2014 Fusion PDF has a picture of the Darkside Metallic color on the car (or just the rendered color) but at least its something!
